Evening all,

All fed. Ros is doing the washinh up . I did a nice chicken stuffed, Roasts and parsnips, sprouters, runner beans, brussels and carrots. That will do me till supper time !!!

Poor old Jess has those pea thingies to look forward too.!! lol lol
Glad your car is back Jane. Yes the B#### potholes are causing so much damage to tyres. We should sue the Dept. Transport or local councils.

I see on the news at lunchtime a couple are sueing the government over this bedroom tax. She has spinal dissorder, and her husband can't stay in the same bed, due to it being a special Hospital type bed. He has to do everything for her. and sleeps in the other bedroom. I can understand if a couple are are living in a three/four bed house. but not in these circumstances. No common sense used.

When you dug the carrots, why didn't you dig some leeks MEL. inseads of going to the house to get some :-) :-) :-)

Sorry if anybody is having trouble getting the Emails, Jane, if you click on the little box under subject. it should come up. I think Shirl and Mel had trouble also.

Good on you Will, getting out and about. glad you enjoyed it. We still haven't ventured out yet

Fiona, Aren't you the LUCKY ONE, getting sunshine, it's been overcast all day, and we had rain this morning. Who said Scotland had all the bad weather . ;-) ;-)

SORRY if I messed up the story line for you Mel, I must keep my mouth shut.!!! :-| :-| :-|

I remember my X having to go to hospital and having her big toenail removed. Not something I would want to happen to me. I do take care of my feet, and Ros has to because of her diabitis.

I suppose she will test the weather tomorrow and go and see Martine. I hope she doesn't come back complaining. OR ELSE.

Morning Everyone, Evening Kim

Daughter no2 and boyfriend collected their rescue dog yesterday, we have not met her yet, but they put this pic on their facebook page, taken with mobile phone so not a great one, Kiah seems happy from what daughter said last night , mind you every time daughter leaves the room Kiah wines for her till she comes back, I hope they had a good night :-)
another sunny day, OH in the back garden laying paving stones for the path, my job is to keep him supplied with tea,

Morning from a overcast N'pton/evening kim.

HOME ALONE as I guessed, as she is feeling a lot better this morning. I must say I also feel more like a MAN this morning (Don't take that the wrong way ) lol lol. Just a bit heady

I've recorded that programme Mel, also Ray Mears. I will catch that when Ros is out. She has Drs Tuesday, meeting Wed. 2-4 and sewing Thur 9.30-4 pm, If it's not too cold She will be out with Carolyn Mon or Friday, so we won't have time together to argue :-D :-D :-D

Fiona, I hope your daughter gets on allright with the new family member.. You can never be sure how they will settle in.

I have had a message to say, that some of the most beautiful Emails I have sent, Haven't got through. It's such a shame, One was of a chap carving TREE LOGS into animals of every
kind, from lions, to owls. The other one was a young girl of 13 playing the trumpet with Andre Rhier (bad spelling) which was absolutley beautiful.

Thinking of testing the lawn, ready for it's first cut. Getting quite edgey now, as it's so long, and seems to be growing all the time.

Jane, "Wash your mouth with soap and water" I can see my mother saying that right now !!!

I'm wondering if I am fit enough to go for a gargle down the pub at lunchtime.??? I'm sure I can manage a couple, and a bit of football. Haven't been out the houser for over a week., some sort of record. !!

Daughter no 2 on the phone , their bringing the dog down to meet us, seemingly they didn't have a bad night, they put the dog bed on the landing and Kiah came in a couple of times just to make sure they were still there but she went back when she was told, they gave her a bath this morning to get riid of the dog home smell and she wasn't very happy :-( :-|

Frank, I managed to get ALL your emails and, as I told you, they are quite stunning and thank you so much for them. The young girl playing the trumpet was amazing, and the carving equally so. OH was interested in that and was also very impressed. Do keep sending them if you can as I keep them to look at again and also to send on!
Watched 'Wild Arabia' last night which was absolutely brilliant, also an old Time Team on 'Yesterday' which was very interesting. Nothing tonight apart from 'Dad's Army', so either history channel or a recording.
OH rotovating the veg patch ready for planting, yesterday he tackled the remains of the hedge that we didn't get finished in the autumn - glutton for punishment! but it has to be done!

Hi, Gone cold now didn't realise the time.

Daughters dog is really sweet, SHIRL she is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I was not keen when I heard what type of dog they were getting, but now we have seen her she is very playfull, a bit excited to be out for a walk with her new owners lots of different sights and smells to sniff, she loves getting her tummy rubbed, and is good at doing commands,
Daughter is still a bit quiet when telling her to do something like sit , but she will get more confidence as the dog settles in,
Daughters boyfriend is a bit more forthright with his commands and needs to take the lead as Kiah is a very strong dog and really pulls daughter nearly off her feet, :-D

They have decided not to come for dinner tomorrow because they don't want to leave the dog on it's own yet and is not sure how the dog will be with Sofia, or how Sofia will be with Kiah :-S
Daughter no 1 is not really happy to how the dog will be with the children ,and I won't have the dog in the house as I find I start too sneeze and cough, I'm ok outside in the fresh air.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Mar 2013 17:43

Fiona Staffie's are the most adorable dogs. They are so friendly and are good with children. But I think it is sensible for her to settle and find out her personality before meeting the children.Only because she is a rescue dog.Has your Daughter been given the history of Kiah?I thought she looked Staffie
:-D

LilyL

LilyL Report 2 Mar 2013 18:17

The pic is of Polly Jane, I shall leave her for a while then post a pic of Alice and Ed, I haven't got one of all three of them together, but will sort that out in the summer! meantime they will have to turn and turn about!
Yes Staffies are lovely dogs and very good with children, not that I've ever had one but someone I know has, and she is a lovely girl, they are strong though and need positive commands!!!! unlike Millie and Stella who can be terrorised (only joking)'
Had a really busy day outside. All the rotovating done, and most of the hedge is finished letting in lot more light at the back, so we're both feeling smugly satisfied!!

Frank Report 2 Mar 2013 18:46

Evening all,

I don't know where the time goes. It's taken ages to read and send this afternoons Emails, hope they all got through.

I stink of smoke. I went to the pub at lunchtime and got draged in to lighting the fire in the lounge. No coal or firelighters. Just a cardboard box, and broken fence panel then logs. Got it going after a while, but then the Blo##y lot fell into the hearth, what a job getting all back. I left them with a beaufiful fire, crackling away in the grate. I also had a accident, talking away and waving my hands around. I knocked over my beer, so had to have another one.

Ros is calling for her Chinese, so will call in later.
