Morning/Evening All

Kim I hope your sleep clinic session comes up with some answers/help for you.We will all be waiting to see how it went.Well done to your Daughter for getting her job.
2 jobs!!! at least you will get peace and quiet :-D :-D

I had Chesters Blanket in for a wash yesterday as it was smelling like Rich Tea Biscuits :-S.Luckily he isn't malting at the moment so my new machine didn't get clogged lol.I'm just going to hang some washing out and then see if I can get some coal.

I saw hundreds of Seagulls earlier. They were all in a massive group.I have never seen that before .Not even when I lived by the sea,and we are as far from the sea as you can get here !!!! Very Strange.I heard all the cries and I could imagine being back at my old childhood beach.

Morning all/Evening Kim.

Your questions have been answered Jane. Thats why I can't understand that they needed to "MAKE" one special, for you car. Wool over eyes comes to mind :-D :-D Ask the question, ???

Yes Mel, and we both liked it, very clever how they went back and forward in time. Lots of actors/actress's I knew from other serials.

Phoned to see how Harvey was, Lewis answered the phone, he's got the sickness business like his Dad. Sympathy or what. ?? We will phone again tonight to see how he is.

Both not wanting to eat. So I might do Ham and Eggs later this evening. Just can't be bothered to cook. Still bunged up in the head and Ros is very chesty !!!! Don't I know it

Had a thought last night. (It hurt my head) During the war years and maybe after, when you couldn't get new saucepans, we had to repair what we had. If a saucepan wore out and got a leak., you could buy repair kits. They were two waskers with a nut and bolt., put one washer inside and one outside of the saucepan over the hole Put the bolt through the lot and tighted up the nut.. I not sure if there was anything in between to seal them, but it worked, and the saucepan had a new life.

Good selection of Emails this morning, another new contact is kepping them coming (Old friend on Ros's side)

Looks nice outside, but i'm not venturing out yet.

Frank I remember my aunt having those on her saucepans and I think they were aboput 3 quarters of an inch big.

Just been outside and we have little grain of ice coming down. They look like sugar grains. I have never seen this before. We have had tiny balls of white snow but never sugar grains? :-0

Lovely photos of baby Grace William, a little cracker. So sad to know William's mum will never see him grow up, he's such a happy baby, babies laughs are really infectious.

I usually try and get as much fur off the cats beds as I can before they go in the machine. I could make another cat with the amount that comes off. Do you just put the machine on an empty wash once you've finished Mandy?

Back to the art room, I thought I would carry on with the first painting I started and rejected, see how it comes out, if it's better than the one I've just done might swap them over. BBL

Baby William is fairly coming along , lovely smiles Jane.

Feeling tired now just got back from the dentist, had a couple of fillings (no need for an injection thank goodness) and she packed some of the teeth that had crumbled away, they have to be done every 6 months or so.

Been a nice day till now, I managed to get a quilted navy jacket in the sale in Mar*s will do fine for the spring weather when it comes. also a pair of navy trousers, and a turquoise cardi.

Afternoon All,

OH is out again so I'm HOME ALONE!! :-) Sorry to hear you haven't been well Kim and hope things go well tomorrow. It sounds like Miranda is going to be busy with her two jobs, but at least it will give her more money and keep her from 'crossing swords' at home as she won't be there so much. Good for her if she sticks at it though because it will show she's prepared to work hard and she's getting good experience for the future. :-D

It's been sunny all day here, quite springlike and I noticed some crocus were out on the front. I'm off to the shops soon, OH has left me a list of what he wants and at the bottom has put 'treat'!! lol. I think a bar of white choccy will do for that!! Think I will get some Bonj*lla stuff too as since the dentist wobbled my loose tooth yesterday it has played up a bit. :-S

Poor old Lewis Frank, he's getting everything isn't he. It sounds like you are perhaps over the worst now, but these things do knock the stuffing out of you for a while.

We watched the Robert Winston prog about the children so didn't see it Mel. I thought the little boy whose mother was affected by thalidomide herself had grown into a lovely young man. The flashback to when he was quite small reminded me of when I was little. If your mum said to stay close by and not run off because it was dangerous, you did it, no question, not ignore it and go racing off like you see happen with some nowadays.

Well, I'd better be orf if I want to be back before the traffic builds up. BBL.

Jane

Jane Report 28 Feb 2013 18:13

I seem to have missed some posts as I didn't know Lewis was poorly and that Lacey was having teething trouble.I'm sorry for not mentioning them before.Hope tomorrow will be a better day.

Just gritting my teeth right now ...no call from the garage :-S :-S.What else would I expect :-S :-S.So it will be on the phone tomorrow as usual :-|

I have made some Pea Fritters. The colour is ..well I don't know how to describe it....GREEN lol.I took one down the garden for Chris all nice and hot .His face was a picture....I could have slapped him,and again after he tasted it :-| :-|.I did explain they are supposed to go with Tarragon flavoured Creme Fraiche(but I haven't any Tarragon.None in Tes** today and mine in the garden has died :-S
I think a bit of Brown sauce will have to do lol

Annx

Annx Report 28 Feb 2013 18:48

Jane, it's become a right saga waiting for that part hasn't it. With warranties though they have to use factory parts otherwise it would have been done and dusted by now. OH has to ring the garage tomorrow as they said the part for his heater would be in by last Tuesday but they haven't rung yet. :-S I hope that isn't going to be another saga!

Shirl, are you having to take that calcium treatment? MIL and FIL both have to take it now for their osteoporosis. As Mel says, we start to fall apart!! :-S

One of OH's pals has told him he loved Anglesey when he went, especially the wild life, so I have been looking at some places to stay. It is amazing how many are already fully booked most of the summer!!

I think I might fancy tartare sauce with your pea fritters Jane. :-D

Jane

Jane Report 28 Feb 2013 19:21

Yep! Saga is the word Ann.I am thinking now that it won't be tomorrow morning I can collect the car(which is what I was told yesterday).I have a funny feeling something might still not be right :-S....Oh well I am a pretty patient person ,but I don't like being messed around.I could have arranged to have the day off tomorrow(if I was working)

Chris had to fork out £380 today for service and extras on his service for his car.Mr Grumpy! :-|...He is in one of those today :-S.Then next Wednesday it will be another £240 to get scratches on the paintwork fixed.(some mindless idiots keyed right down one side)....He smells like a Kipper tonight as he has been having a Bonfire again.

Ann my Pea Fritters are looking very sad all on their own on the worktop.I think Jess will like them (she will be here tomorrow) .so will just pop them in the fridge and heat them up in the oven.I think it might have been nice to actually put some Mint in them, but I'd done them before I thought of that. Not sure that there will be a next time though lol

Frank Report 28 Feb 2013 20:10

Hi all,
Jane, Paternt 'ain't the word. Your middle name must be "saint". I said this morning "ASK" why they needed to make a new loom, if your car is a standard model????

I think I would have turned my nose up to those pea thingy's Poor old Jess, having to clear up your leftovers. :-D :-D :-D

Mel, You never know what's up there waiting to fall on us. Could it have been a thick mist ?? It's been quite nice here today, I had to draw the curtains at the back this afternoon, as I couldn't see my computer screen for the sun.

We had a nice piece of sliced ham, chips and frsh farm eggs for tea/dinner, and very nice it was too. Made a nice change.

SHIRL, IT'S CALLED OLD AGE !! <3 <3 <3 Hope they can help keep the discomfort away with medicines/pills.

I rang Lewis this evening. He wasn't there. Up stairs on his X box. Harvey went in to work today for a few hours. Feels as weak as a kitten. It's the first time he has taken off work since he became self employed in 1986

Conrad rang this afternoon, and wanted us to go up for the weekend, but we passed, don't want to pass it on to them.

I am sneezing my head off at the moment. 20 straigh off and I feel there are more to come. :-0 :-0 :-0 Don't know what's bought this on !! All bunged up again now.
Where is he again Ann, Football or his other woman lol lol ???
I think football would be his first choice as would mine. :-) :-)

Before we washed the cats bed, we would brush most of the hair off with one of those two way flat brushes. They worked marvels. also on the chait arms where he liked to lay. It's so strange, but I still see him walking into the lounge and kitchen on a regular basis. Last nighjt I could hear him in the kitchen wanting his dinner.

Will have to see whats on my TELE tonight, as we still have an hour of soaps, me thinks.

Oh Heck Mel...More Expense ????.Have you got a Microwave to keep you going?

Frank I will be going with notepad and pen when I eventually get the car back and write down the 'problem'.It was kind of explained but not that I really understood.I think the Connector might have been the main trouble, but then I really don't know so I could be talking a load of tripe lol.I just know Wiring, and connector and Loom was mentioned.I just need them to explain properly so i can understand.

How dare you turn your nose up at my Pea Fritters :-P.It's just flipping Peas mixed with an egg a bit of olive oil and some flour.I dished them up on his plate :-D.There was no comment lol but he ate them :-D :-D

Annx Report 28 Feb 2013 20:59

LOL Frank......he says one (woman) is enough for him, but I think he means its all he can cope with!! He was out at meetings again.......it's a busy time at the moment before the council cease providing the service next month. He got a 60th birthday card this morning from one of the ladies that used to work for him. There's a group of them that worked together, all working in different jobs now and they meet for a meal a couple of times a year to catch up and for the others who are still working to tell him how lucky he is to not be working!! Well, his face was a picture.........his birthday isn't till mother's day next month and I think it brought it home to him he will be an OAP. He said she couldn't have found one with a bigger number!! I told him, 'just you wait till I tie 60th birthday balloons on to the 4 corners of your car bumpers!! (after the look he gave me I don't think I dare :-0)

It's funny what you said about the sound of the sea gulls Jane. I am the same when I smell pine trees! It takes me straight back to being a little girl living by the Cannock Chase as you could smell them when you stepped outside.

That's a nuisance about your oven Mel..........might it be a fuse or does some of it still work? I think there is something wrong with our shower as I couldn't get the usual pressure or temperature this morning. I said to OH, 'no sooner is one thing fixed then there is something else to sort out.' I suppose you can use the caravan one in an emergency if needs be. I must admit I miss having a caravan with 'spares'
in.
