Another marathon Maureen! I find the time just flies when you are looking for clothes for an occasion. Will you wear a hat or one of those fascinators? I imagine getting the accessories will be a bit easier, mind you there are a lot of shades of some colours when it comes to matching. I bet you slept like a log last night!!
I have been to one or two of the local dance school shows Pat and enjoyed them a lot. It must have been lovely to watch your grandaughter. I love tap dancing and was in one of the shows in the adult tap class. Me, in my 40s in fish nets too!!!! lol, lol. Still have my tap shoes in the loft......sigh......!!
Well, at least that should be the last of it Frank, although it is sad he has passed away. I think you are wise to stay away from the funeral as it wouldn't do you any good if there was any upset. You can think of happier times with your pint tonight. That tree of yours was quite big wasn't it! I bet the mess took a bit of clearing up too. We noticed some big Scots pine trees a the side of the road today that looked as if the top layers had died from scorching, no green left on them at the top at all.
There was uproar a couple of years ago when they mentioned car park charges in the next village, but as it was to be only 10p for an hour the fuss died down. Now they have put it up to 20p.........how long before it is 50p I wonder. Next the council will wonder why there are empty shops there when we all start to use the retail park with free parking down the road.

Just sat down after finishing off some ironing. All done :-D :-D
Fitz had all 33 staples out and all is looking good. The only problem is he goan awful reaction from his sticky dressings.Oooh it does look sore. But hopefully now it will soon disappear. He is pretty good in himself but tires easily, which is as expected really.
Frank.Sorry about your Brother.I take it this is the Brother your other Brother rang Ros about the other week. You are doing the right thing in not going to the funeral or contacting family.No-one needs a PUNCH UP ,especially at a funeral. Saying that ,apparently 2 of my Birth Brother had a big fight at the funeral of their eldest Brother. They have never spoken since :-S.I would have been disgusted in both of them :-S :-S,but this was some years ago before I knew them.
William I hope you are alright today and have had no more trips to A&E.
Ann ,what a nuisance about your OH's scan.Would anyone have told him it was turned down if he hadn't asked? Good job he didn't go to the Chiropodist (as suggested) ;-) with his ganglion lol.I think you are supposed to whack a ganglion with the Bible(or a heavy book) lol
Pat how nice to see your Grandaughter doing her performing. These things are so exhausting for the young ones when they have to do so many performances. It must be great to see your son too.I think you have seen him quite a bit since he went to Paris (am I right )?
Glad you finally got your outfit Maureen.I was on a bus on Oxford St on Saturday.I might have seen you lol
No cooking tonight.......Whoopee :-D :-D :-D :-D
Oh Ann what a pretty necklace.Did you have to thread each individual bead???.Patience of a saint I think.

Evening Everyone.
Cold and wet day here, we are forcast for snow tomorrow but I am sure at this time of the year it won't be a round for long.
Daughter no 1 & Sofia came for me this afternoon and we went to a local country park to see the rabbits & baby chickens, plus Wallabies, Mercats and other small animals. . didn't hang around much it was too cold and wet.
OH flying to Barcelona today, won't be arriving till 11 tonight seemingly there is a spanish air strike. :-| :-|
Annx
Both my daughters were in dance classes who put on shows, they loved it, it was hard work for the mums though, 4 out of 5 nights a week behind stage in hot stuffy dressing rooms, choking with hair spray & deoderent and glitter everywhere, cost a fortune everytime for costumes plus all the tights , acsesories, hair sprays, but it was great to see them enjoying themselves, and shattering too at the end of the week. :-D

Hi Jane.
Daughter no 2 has a friend called Fiona and she gets Fee, no I have never been called Fee, one Dr used to call me Flora, she has retired now, I did tell her it was Fiona once , and after that I didn't have the heart to tell her again
My given name was Florence after my mums sister who was named after her aunt Florence. there is about 5 Florences in my family line. and I hated being called Wee (little)Florence so when I went to college I was 18 at the time I changed my name to Fiona.(not leagaly) but at school I got CANDY FLOSS, FLOSSY FLORENCE from the Magic Roundabout , and FLO which I hate.

Evening everyone,
It's been another nice sunny day, have now turned the heating on as it's turned quite chilly.
Sorry to hear you've lost your brother Frank, best to keep away rather than get all worked up , i'am sure you must have had some good times together , just think of those and raise your glass to him tonight <3
Poor Fitz ,33 staples !! bet he was glad to get them all out , hubby had a terrible time with his dressings when he had his hip done , i remember taking the dressing off and some of his skin came with it !!! makes me cringe now just remembering about it . The nurse changed the dressings to some sort of rubbery ones that didn't stick to the skin as much .
Ann, more pretty necklaces , i can see now why you needed a magnifier with the tiny beads, i love the way its all twisted .
Why no cooking tonight then Jane? you off out ?

Hi all, sorry I'm late on but still monitoring things here. I had a bit of a 'blip' again on Sunday for a while, but no way was I going back to A & E again! Carmel is a marvel when it comes to sorting things out. I knew I needed to see my favourite doctor at our Health Centre, but usually on a Monday it takes about till midday to get through then there are no appointments left. Carmel phoned through to the Practice Manager, put on her Irish charm and I was sitting talking to my GP at 10am. He has sorted me out now, hopefully, but wants to see me after the Easter break to make sure everything is tickety boo. He said in a roundabout way, the hospital is useless, you should have come to see me, but I had to remind him, that these things always seem to happen at weekends, and there's no surgery. He gave me the antibiotics I need which is what I had in mind when I phoned on Saturday to the Out of Hours service!
If I have to go into hospital it usually has been a pain for Carmel in the past, but now we both carry 'Carers/Cared for emergency' cards. There is a phone number that puts a care plan in action - I hope!!! The family are good in crises but she always wants to be in her own home, which is understandable. Most times in the past it's been Carmel who has been in one hospital or another in various parts of the country. Luckily, I'm quite able to look after both myself and her.
Anyway, thank you all so much for your care and concern, I can tell you it does help a great deal. I think it has a special sincerity when it involves people that you have never actually met. Do you remember the 'old days' before TV when you heard people on the radio - then when they appeared on TV you'd say "They don't look like that!!!" Because you had a mental picture of what YOU thought they looked like. Luckily we have thumbnails on here most times so I do have an idea what you look like - at sometime in your life anyway LOL.
Yes Jane, that is the cross I metioned in my photo. The verger took it for us at last Easter's service. We don't attend regularly because I never know how Carmel is going to be, but anytime we put in an appearance they always make such a fuss of us, it is really lovely.
Jane, hope you enjoyed your Chinese, it sounded delicious. I like a good Chinese, but there seems to be more Indian etc in this area now. I'm afraid spicey foods don't agree with either of our stomachs.
I'm off now as it's seemed like a long day. Glad you are all plodding along nicely. I'm looking forward to a bit of 'normality' now, whatever that is!

Morning All I wonder if Frank has a little headache this morning ;-)I think I will have a taster of the Sloe Gin that James did tonight.
Kim ,I hope your visit to your Dr in Sydney went ok for you <3
5 am going off to the garden centre in a while to get Janice some vouchers for her Birthday next week.I usually get something more personal ,but I think things have been a bit difficult since her OH lost his job and I know she is desperate to get her new garden sorted.Saying that about her OH ,he actually started a new job yesterday :-D :-D :-D.That will be a huge relief for them both.
I think our post lady must be on holiday as the post has just come and I see it is the postman who used the side of my house as a toilet a couple of years back :-| :-| :-| He scuttles up the drive really swiftly now and never looks up lol. After my raging at him and making him swill away his puddle with a bucket of disinfectant he must dread delivering here.Hopefully he is just covering for holiday leave.
I see there is a lot of snow up in Scotland.I wonder if we will actually get any at all. I do feel as though the temperature has dropped now so will be wearing a cardi when I go out Quick coffee I think now and then I will be on my way.
William ,I do hope you have no 'Blips' today :-D

Morning
Yes Jane, it's snowing here now over central Scotland, we had rain through the night so the ground was already wet which is making it hard for the snow to lie. it's not heavy but it's looks gusty as the trees are blowing about.
Not got anything important to do today, I don't need to go out and not expecting any visitors though Daug no 2 & boyfriend might be down for dinner later on. going to get on with some ironing and might do a bit of tidying out the cupboard were Sofia keeps her toys as everything was just thrown in over the weekend.
Need to write out OH birthday card for next week he will be 55 on Easter Monday but we will celebrate on Sunday as he is travelling to Barcelona again on Monday Afternoon.
Enjoy your trip to the garden cente Jane I expect all the garden centres will be pretty busy now the kids are on holidays for Easter.
I think I will get the kettle on before I start.

Morning All,
Has taken me ages to catch up with your posts. Worked in the garden yesterday instead of going shopping as it was a nice sunny day. They said today would be colder and it is. No sun but cloudy. Forgot to renew my tax last week and am waiting for the disc to arrive. I did it on the phone.
William get sorted soon as we can't have you out of action.
Good that Fitz is more comfortable after having his stitches out. Give him my regards please Jane when you see him.
Ann I really liked both those necklaces you made and are making but I think the finished one is my favorite as it is in my colours. You are a clever girl.
What kind of magnifier did you get? I have one with a light on it on a bendy arm that oh bought me when I did the dollshouse minitures. It has a blueish bulb that is supposed to be like daylight.
Frank so sorry to hear your news of your brothers death. My thought are with you. I am sure he is now looking down on you and wishing you had never agued.

CONGRATULATIONS Fiona. How many will that be ???
Went into bed soon after posting last night. Just seemed to settle down, and wallop I'm on the floor. Could not get myself up, Ros came in and tried to help. I couldn't roll over onto my front, so just laid there for ten minutes, to gather my thoughts, then tried again, after a few minutes I was able to get up onto my knees, and pull myself up. Got back into bed and sleept till 7.00am this morning. No headache, just hungry and gasping for a cup of tea. I cooked myself, two eggs, three rashers, cold new potatos fried, tomato's and a slice of fried bread. Two more cups of tea.
Ros has gone off with Carolyn shopping again. I am having a quiet day with my book.
Hope everyones well today.
