Afternoon All,
We had just a bit of drizzle for 10 minutes this morning, but it is quite chilly and dull.
Yes Mandy we have 2 'bathing belles' in their pics now!! I meant to ask you about your pic Kim. It sounds like you were really worn out afterwards!. We need to clear our garage, it is full of things we'll never use like worn out tools and boxes and boxes of coachbolts from carriage building days. Will never use them now, but they are expensive to buy so we have kept them!! :-S I need to put them on eb*y!! lol. I have an american civil war cavalry saddle hanging up in there too.......something else I'm not likely to use but seem attached to. :-S
If Ros is like me she loves getting those little Eb*y parcels in the post Frank! As you say, the speed of service is amazing.
I have bought a few plants this morning, a cream variegated dwarf Hebe, a green and yellow thyme and a red flowered alpine pink. The garden centre we went to was really busy and has a brand new cafe which was rather nice.
Pat I think that would be the danger for me........bringing things home!! There are such bargains to be had though. lol
Getting a cuppa now....I bet Jane's tipple isn't tea!

Oh what a dull misserable day it has been.!!!
Before I went to see the football, I put the heating on low. Ros said she was frozen when she got home, and glad I put the heating on.
Hope Jane took a warm coat today, or she will shiver the day away. :-0 :-0 :-0
We have "JENNY WRENS" nesting somewhere close by, they are singing away, and so nice to watch. Also the blackbirds are busy in the bush by the garage, will keep my eye on them.
When we moved here 14 years ago we bought down four small box bushes. Didn't know where to put them, so stuck then in the ground behind the garage, they are about 4 ft high now and realy bushed out. I am thinking of transplanting them and doing topiary on them. Do you know if they can be uprooted after all this time without damaging them ????

Those little Jenny Wrens have such loud songs for a little bird Frank......one of my favourite birds, the way they flit about always on the move.. When I moved into my previous house it had a rustic wooden canopy over the front door and there were Jenny Wrens nesting there. When the chicks had gone we looked at the nest, so tiny and soft inside. I'm not sure I'd risk moving those bushes, but if you are going to risk it, now would be the best time.
Snow Fiona!!!! :-0
I'll have to have a check Shirl. I know there are quite a few about, but they all look a bit different to mine.
Heating is on now.....brrrr.

Good that you had a nice day Jane. I was thinking about you.
I have Jenny Wrens that come in the tunnel and go all around the plants left in there. I just sit on my chair and watch her going here and there so busy she dos'nt take any notice of me.
I also have Robby nesting in my old shed just inside the doorway to the right in a little sack I had hanging up. They have four eggs in there at the mo. When I feed him in the morning he has a couple of fat sticks for himself then takes the next lot to the Mrs. sometimes she comes out with him and sits in the rose bush and he picks the food up and flies to her and feeds her. They are such time wasters...............................
Have'nt done a great deal today as I spent a lot of time up the border clearing up after the bantams who decided to scratch up all the mulch oh put up there. It was all over the grass!! Pruned a rose on the wall and pulled out of the box hedge all the dead stalks of the perennial sweet pea. Did a bit more sweeping up so thats nearly finished now but it's a bit like the fourth bridge, once finished it is ready to start at the begining again!!!!!!!
Kim I always want to know how spiders know how tall you are because it dos'nt metter what height you are they always seem to get you across the face. :-|

It's that time again "Take me out" (meat market) Have been reading the posts and e-mails, hope you enjoyed the jokes.
Jane, still not received your doggy e-mail. Can someone send it on. Glad you had a nice day, You went into Euston station, where did you go from there ??? I must get Conrad to take me down to Stratford and Hackney marshes to see all the work they have down. I believe Stratford marsheling yards have been swallowed up with the development.
I see the temp. is going down to minus tonight. I have been down the garden and covered all the potato bags, and put some plants back in the greenhouse. No signs of shoots from the rows of potatos so hope they will be alright.
If it's going to be cold for the next few days, you won't see me out in the garden !!!. E-book will get a hammering. So will the heating.
I didn't want a takeaway tonight, Ros had Chinese, but hasn't settled to well for her. She's been sick three times.
Nice piece of RIB of beef tomorrow. With all the usual, so I will be stuffed by mid afternoon.
Trust William/Kim/Pat. Etc are all well. See you in the morning.
GOD BLESS

Morning all,
Another sunny day here. Spiders have rebuilt their webs and are jiggling their legs at me - look where you're going idiot"!!! ;-) Mel one is between the back awning and the clothesline, so I keep walking into him and the other is across the path to the side gate. Plus all the others strung from bush to bush. They manage to make repairs overnight, bless 'em :-S :-S
Jane sounds like you had a good day in London, but very tiring. I expect you were out to it when the head hit the pillow. I am sorry that Janice is still not good. Does she do hydrotherapy as well as regular physio?? She would need to be on some strong pain relief, the poor girl. I hope Fitz is doing much better when you next see him.
My elderly neighbour came up to see us today. She is very unsteady on her feet with the help of her walking stick, but in fine spirits. She had a cuppa and then Keith walked her back - she lives two doors down. Her ankle is black and swollen and of much concern to her doctor. It looks worse than when she was in hospital. I had a look at her programme for each week. The home nurses are doing lots of exercises and physio with her, but I really think something else is going on now. The hip is doing really well.
Frank hope Ros is feeling more settled in the tummy today. We had Chinese last night and I wasn't impressed, not as good as it usually is.
Shirl monsters have huge appetites. I hope you are keeping them well fed.
Ann I thought we hadn't seen a photo of your work this week. Look forward to seeing your next piece.
Your weather sounds as if it's turned a bit chilly over there. We are due for some rain, but it is still around 27 during the day - our Indian Summer. Nights are getting cooler, but not too bad.
Hairdresser is coming to cut my hair tomorrow, so that will be an improvement and then down to doctor on Tuesday, such a long trip.
Off to have a cuppa now and tend to this yowling cat, lol. Have a good day all.

Afternoon everyone,
Lovely and sunny here today ,not quite warm enough to sit out there's a little cool wind when the sun goes in , been to sons for coffee then we called at the Factory shop and bought a couple of garden planters to go on the wall ,hubby has fixed them so they will be ready for some plants later . By the sound of things they might be filled with SNOW first if the weather forecasters are right !!
Glad you enjoyed your day yesterday Jane, when i read some of the threads on here i often wonder what some of the people look like, they all seem a happy bunch .
Don't know what we'll be having to eat later , i'll find some thing from the freezer , we won't starve !!
Anyone do an April Fools prank this morning , i forgot , i could have played one on the little ones when we went , didn't they use say you have to do them before twelve noon ? i wonder why !!

Kim that ankle doesn't sound very good for your dear neighbour. Not anything to do with bad blood supply is it??
I don't think my head even reached the pillow last night before I was gone lol.But I had the most strange dream.I was driving around with the head off a decapitated man in the boot of my car.I found it in a bag on the side of the road.(where on earth did I dream that one up) :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S.
Well I said it was just a pottering day,but I decided to drive over to Rushden to Waitr*** to see if I could get another of these Lamb Kleftico joints to put in the freezer.Luckiily I got the last one on the shelf :-D.I haven't seen them anywhere else.So I have 2 now,and would like to keep them until Janice and Larry come.I think they love it. Janice is still having Hydrotherapy once a week as well as her 3 weekly physio sessions. Not sure how much longer she will have them .She has a horrible feeling it could yet be another hospital stay .This time to have surgery to free and get rid of scar tissue. But she doesn't know yet.
Frank I don't understand why that email hasn't come through to you.I sent to everyone else so hopefully someone still has it and can try and send it on to you.
It has warmed up lovely out there now.I think if the sun is still shining when all the food is cooked we may even eat outside :-D :-D

Must just tell you. I am wearing the trousers I wore yesterday to the Meet.I just sat down and heard a great RIP :-S :-S :-S :-S.(from underneath). The whole of the Crotch has just gone :-S :-S.Thank goodness that didn't happen yesterday ;-).I love these trousers ,but now I will have to put them in the bin :-( :-( :-(
