Jane, you've prompted me into words! D O I is over and Katerina has now submerged like the Titanic ought to, bless her. Her finale cleavage was immense, enough to park a whole motor cycle (a Harley at that!) into. A terrific show though and all three were really winners, the best one yet.

We too were a bit non-plussed over the first Titanic episode? It's like a do-it-yourself, it seems, You know those books they want you to buy, one every week until you've built your own Titanic and it's fianlly cost you more than the original vessel. So why build a model vessel that sunk anyway? I digress. We watched ' Inside the Titianic', repeated on Channel 5 tonight 7pm. It was based on the facts of the enquiry, sort of drama-mentury, and the excellent graphics really explained what happened that night. Well worth watching.

Jane Report 26 Mar 2012 17:44

William ,you will miss your Sunday night treat with Katerina ;-)Yes it was the best finale ever I think.Well done all of them.

Maureen ...go on splash out on that outfit .It will be worth it.

LOL Sheila.Beryls 3 daughters sound like they are like Beryl Cook characters. All Roly Poly :-D

I have given Chester yet another shower this afternoon. He has awful Dander. Not sure if it connected with his malting. So I bought a doggie Dandruff shampoo earlier.Fingers crossed that will help .

What a beautiful evening. Not a cloud to be seen.It will be a cold one tonight.

I expect Fitz is home now.I bet Podge (the cat ) will be ecstatic to see him.
Fitz is really the only one who looks after Podge.I will go down about midday tomorrow and make sure Fitz isn't running around after his Mother :-S :-S.He better not be :-| :-|
I'm sneezing like mad here.Pollen time :-S :-S.I never used to have any trouble.

DIL nearly had forty fits the other day .... she found some nits !!!! in Chelsea's hair , i t told her that they only go to clean heads.
Well she shampoo'd Chelsea's hair with the special shampoo TWICE !!!
She checked all their hair and they all used the shampoo, she stripped off all the beds ,even though son told her they only live on your scalp

William, Yours ears must have been burning last night. I mentioned to my wife about Katerinas bust and how you remarked about it. I said he will be upset DOI is finished. :-( :-( ME TO !!!)

I have had a nice quiet day, but keep getting the feeling I am crawling with those "Red Spiders" that the chickens had. I've had another shower but still feel "ALIVE"

Hope Fitz arrived home alright, and he rests to get his strength back. Can't be over doing it to early.

Jane, I have watered the veg patch and seed trays in the greenhouse, the earth was cracked in the trays. Also gave the potato sacks a water.

What a beautiful day we have had today, I even sat on the patio bear chested and read my book. Suntan here I come !!!!

Might pop back in, when I get back from Football.

Jane Report 26 Mar 2012 18:57

Mandy ,aren't you meant to treat the whole family when one has nits!!!!!
We had them once with Hannah ( gives me the shivers lol)
I'm waiting for a hissy fit from Chris when he realises I have chucked out some of his old pants !!!.He kept wearing them because they were comfy.......but they had holes in :-S :-S.I can't have him wearing those (especially if he was to be hit by a bus or something and have to go to hospital )

Janice sounds very good in herself ,but still in a lot of pain. She had physio this morning.First time since the manipulation. Her other leg is painful ,but probably because she has had to over use it.She has to use the electric machine thingy on her knee for the next couple of weeks. She has been paying £260 per month to hire it :-S :-S
I hope Fitz is comfortable now in his own bed. Will get the low down tomorrow. :-D :-D

OOPs sorry Mandy ....I see all have had their hair done :-D

Been shopping. Went up Bideford high st and up mill lane and went into Co-op and saw a lady with a pushchair and in her hand she had a big plastic dragonfly with wings on springs and a butterfly one. Asked her where she got them and she said up the road on the right a shop was closing down and she bought them for £1.20 each. Thought they would look nice in the fairy garden. Off I went and there was just three left in the dragonfly ones so I bought them al and they only cost me £1 each.

Sheila you sound a lot happier at the moment. I am glad GR are sorting your troubles out and you can get on here again.

Jane, Fitz will certainly be please d to be home again and in his own bed with his puss cat for company. Podge will be pleased that his dad is home too.

Evening All,

Thanks to all of you who have sent/tried to send me the pics! :-D I have them all now. :-)

Frank, I think the mind wonders back to the past for us all as we get older. The memory of your stroke and life before it is bound to come to mind on the anniversary of it too. It was very bad luck that that happened to you, but I am very glad that at least you survived it and are still around to entertain us with you posts and with your amusing emails. :-D :-D :-D Hope you enjoy the match at the pub tonight........OH isn't off to a match tonight.....swooooon!!! :-0

Sheila, life sounds like a comedy sketch where you are. I can just picture you wedged in the doorway! It seem April is settling in well now she has her friend Herman! It sounds like Michelle has a lot going for her, she just needs time to come to terms with things....it can't be rushed, but she'll get there.

Nits are getting more common in schools nowadays aren't they. The children sit much closer to each other around tables, so I suppose that doesn't help. I remember my brother and sister getting fleas from a donkey when they were children and having special shampoo. I was aged about 18 with long loose hair..........kept well clear of them till the fleas had gone!!!

I recorded DOI and watched it later. All the finalists were brilliant, but Matt was a bit more slick with his performance I thought . A nice bunch this year.......Matt has a good body...... never realised what was under that shirt in Emmerdale!!! :-D

Maureen, go and get it!! The times I faff about twith clothes and then l they are all gone!! lol

We worked in the garden earlier. Lovely in the sunshine and 2 Red Kites or Buzzards were screeching and circling on the thermals in the back field. I got the pebble pool all finally levelled up again after the electrician had dropped a load of soil in the hole and got the soil around it to the right level and refixed more of my rock edges he had to remove to bury cables. We moved a few other rocks nearer to where we'll use them then raked and sloped some of the piles of soil on the beds.....soon I can start planting them. :-D A quick shower and off we went to a garden centre. I was so shattered when I got back I went and lay down and had a snooze!! Poor old thing! I think I will have some jyp from my back and knees tomorrow!

Glad Fitz is home Jane.......he will think it blissful to be in his own bed and have some QUIET at night. I bet Podge will be pleased to see him too.

Can't believe I am first. GOOD MORNING ALL.

Didn't watch all .the match last night, felt tired, so came home and had an early night. 10.30pm I slept like a log, then someone shouted "LOOK AT THE TIME" it was in my dream, but I woke up and it was only 5.00am. I woke with such a start, I didn't go back to sleep. Was up by 6.15am :-( :-(

Great morning out there again this morning, For those who are gardening, don't over do it, I.m still aching from last week.

Ros is off shopping with Carolyn at 11.30 so I can have a quiet time on my own Might even go for a walk down the canal.

Afternoon All

Just got back from a walk to the chemist and stopped off at Te*co's for some salad, another lovely day here.
Oh Frank, I envy you being able to go for a walk by the canal, from the pictures you have sent before it looks lovely,

Even though it's warm and not summer hot outside, I think I over did the sun yesterday, had a bit of a headache last night, Still looking for one of daughter no 2 old hats which i wear in the sun , will only sit in the sun for a short while today.

Haven't been out yet. walked down the road to a neighbours and felt tottery so came home and have been sitting down since, Ros would go mad if I went out on my own and had a fall. So think I will pass, and sit in the garden.

Mandy, Why don't you get one of those Stainless steel flasks, he won't be ably to break that. lol lol. I always had the Therm#s type when I went fishing, and only broke two in many years.

Fiona, It's true what they say, when you live by something like the canal, you hardy use it. It was the same in London, Everything close at hand but never bothered to go to the sights.

No a lot of activity on here this afternoon, I bet you are all enjoying the sun <3 <3 <3

Sheila

hi lovely day

MillymollyAmanda

MillymollyAmanda Report 27 Mar 2012 14:24

I looked at the stainless steel ones Frank, but the ones i saw didn't have a handle for pouring the drink out , i thought he would be safer with one with a handle , he lays them on the seat of the van then when he brakes they shoot on the floor !!!
I think you've done the right thing by keeping at home if you feel unsteady ,the rest in the garden will do you good after all the gardening you've been doing .

Hi Sheila , short and sweet !! :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 27 Mar 2012 14:31

Hi again,

Mandy the stainlees flasks are great I have two a small one and a large one. If they shoot onto the floor they won't break at all. Why do you need a handle??Much cheaper in the long run if hubby breaks them on a regular basis.

Off out into the garden now after washing up the lunch things.

Sheila

Sheila Report 27 Mar 2012 14:36

I have just come back from a another comedy six large men over the park sunbathing in skimpy shorts all really white and singing Painting the clouds with sunshine. I looked down at one man and said you look happy and sound happy and he said its our birthdays which surprised me. It seems four were quads and two cousons. Maizie a neighbour was taking pictures of them . Jasper ran up and licked them all over.

Beautiful girl students sunbathing my ho had a birthday going for his walk
he came back and said he had never seen such beautiful brown legs after looking at mine.

I am not a sun person I can never see when I go indoors and sun glasses give me a headache.

Beryls girls are all happily married and have children and some granchildren who are really beautiful kids but they have Beryls genes poor things.

My blackbird came today sat next to me for five minutes until he saw the cat. I did not venture to lift it over the fence. Sherman not Herman Ann phoned me today he was talking about real estate his father being in it and my what that lad did not know about properties round them. I found it a bit off putting a young lad being into that nice if he had chatted about
something more youthful.

Amanda do you have your pool out now in this beautiful weather.
I got myself a blow up pool from the gatden centre. It does to dabble my feet with my glass of posh coke being ice and lemon. it will be fine if Jasper does not bite it.

i like Katerina Wit or whatever but was wishing she would have skated perhaps with Robin.

Our Alan sent me a paphlet today of garden shrubs me having two die
very quickly it seems I needed to use some special sandy type stuff which he gave me the name. I have to confess I have not watched one of his programmes. How did he get envolved on here bless him he is so well known now after the days at old Pebble Mill. Still the ground is unbuilt on like so many of the old spots the hospitals gone and the old peoples home. Monks trust wont knock anything down. I need my country cottage
Rose cottage and went and asked the lady if I could see inside and it had the most gorgeous ingle nook fireplace and window seat I have ever seen. The tiny garden was a dream.
We have a canal walk that goes right into Birmingham City almost but I doubt if the scenary is very pleasant compared to where Frank lives.
I peddled my bike along it twice years ago with the kids in tow.

I got my papers and things for the states what a game to get over there now. That is if my poor ho can get these veins put right he had a dreadful fall at the week end cutting down a tree. He fell in the same place I did. The mans coming to look for putting some new slaps down one is loose. The whole place is in need of repair. He cut his legs and knee and his arm. I had to do some first aid on poor hubby
Pandora was Beryls other daughter . the three witches my ho calls them.
They were really nice a few months back.

Sophia is to go into hospital. They plan to do a gastric band before she kills herself. Ann it was not pleasant being crushed by her in our doorway.

I am not really happy Mel I need someone to give me confidence gain and there isnt anyone. I am off people. The ones round here do not bother me. but with Mohsen and that women of my son who said to my ho she was ashamed to come into an off licence I feel very upset. I wont say well dont come because then I would loose Ashley and I love him to bits.
I miss Jessica a lot she and I have been through a lot together when she was ill and I would have liked her here for the rest of my life. I have never got over Mat dying and I am plaqued with dreams and guilty feelings that I should have done more when they let him out of that hospital.
still never mind life goes on and I go on and I find it difficult to cope when people moan about such silly things and i am aching inside..

I just hope this weather will last a while it will do us all good.
I wish Michelle would remove all her wedding photoes it makes it hard to
forget Mohsen .I have always hated his name my ho could never say it and called him possum features. Mohsen thought it sweet.

Well I have to go to Wales at the week end on the train I hate it .The journey and the change at Crew it is horrid. it seems to take hours and then I have to wait for Matts family to pick me up. I will be listening to them complaining how I should not have encouraged the relationship with Ryan thus him taking there two granchildren away.I shall just shut my ears. Mind you I did that last time and the dear lady said. I feel like sticking my head in the gas oven without my granchildren. I was not listening and said ok I will help you. It was not until she repeated what she said I had to pretend it was a chicken she was going to put in the oven for dinner and misheard her .Her hubby pointed out maybe old age was effecting my earing.

So glad Fritz is home Jane I take it his mum is a bit of a pain.

Frank you sound like you do really well after your stroke. It must be unnerving hoping it wont happen again and keeping happy when you have your off days.

Mel those thingies you brought for your fairy garden sound interesting.
I would love to see your garden. I have been to Bidford many times years ago.

I agree with William the programme on the Titanic should be interesting
how it was built and so on but I have seen at least three versions just lately of all that. People playing different characters all with one Jack in it did you know that there was a Jack on board who died and theAmericans go and pay homage after the Titanic film remembering Jack Dawson.

I saw a fantastic film at the Birmingham library about the things they got off the Titantic and the wood it was built with and how they had to have weighted chairs and things so they did not slide to much on choppy seas.
I wonder if that helped when the balkheads were flooded which caused it to sink.
I will now go and take out my sardine and tomato sandwich and lie on my swing with my insect spray the mozzes are very bad in our garden being built the lawn on wet ground years ago. Sometimes we get a group of the horrible things buzzing around it gives me the creeps.
