Frank, thanks for asking. I wasn't on yesterday because I spent the afternoon and evening at the local A & E department from 4pm to 7.30pm. I just escaped being admitted by the skin of my teeth. Carmel was with me and I didn't know what we were going to do as I am her carer. None of the family even knew we were there! I'd only phoned to see the 'out-of-hours' doctors cover service, then they had me waiting in the A & E. I'm not out of the woods yet, but it's 'personal' and I don't want to go into details here. So, gals and gals, pray for me or whatever it is you do for pals and I'll be forever thankful. I've already been through this twice before and I didn't think I'd be in this position again. When we got home (starving, good job we'd bought a cooked chicken earlier!) and collected our thoughts etc, I jokingly said to Carmel, "At least we're in time to watch Casualty!!!!"
On a more positive note, after the frost I've been in the garden all morning loping our oak tree. Bought a new tree lopper from Ald* for just £8.99 and it works a treat. Also had a new pair of ratchet secatuers, only £4.99 (Ald*)and they cut through small branches like they were butter. My green bin is now stuffed full until its collected this Friday.
Oh, by the way, hope no-one got April Fooled - and I like to wish you all a Happy April. Easter's on the way, we go to a nice service in the church we were married in. They have a wicker frame cross, and when the service ends, all the congregation takes flower/ up and place them into the cross. When it's finished it looks amazing. They can be bought flowers or better still flowers out of your own garden, shrubs, or whatever as long they are blossoms.
I admit, I haven't read any of the previous posts (except Franks - Boy Power!) so I'll hit the button and read back on what you've all been up to.

William ,is your pic the cross you have just mentioned. How lovely is that. It sounds like you had rather a difficult day to say the least yesterday :-S.At least you didn't have to be admitted and leave poor Carmel stranded.Do you have a strategy plan so that if you should suddenly be whisked in, that one of the family can get to you quickly?I hope things settle for you (the personal trouble).I will keep everything crossed for you William <3 No April fools here other than my favourite trousers doing the big splits on me :-| :-|

I got caught out this morning. I was sitting having a cup of tea, when Ros said. LOOK AT THER SIZE OF THAT BLACK DOG. I got up looked out the window, and said where. April Fool came the reply. I told you that our "BLUE TREE" had died from the frost. We decided to start to cut out the top. Johnathan our young neighbour called over the fence. that he would come round and cut it out for us. We ended up with the lawn covered in twigs and branches. Ros chopped a load up and filled the Green bin. The rest I have put on the drive, to chop up a barrow over to the allotment tip tomorrow or when ever. He also took anothert four branches off the pine tree in the front garden. Can't take anymore off as we have doves nesting in the top.
You will have to do something with yourself Jane, or you will get locked up for exposing yourself in public :-D :-D :-D :-D
Shirl, I still haven't received the e-mail.
William, I trust you are going on alright,
What a beautiful day it turned out to be. Still bright sunshine and still warm.

I must remember to pick up Fitz in the morning to take him to get his staples removed.I'm sure he will feel more comfortable with them out as I think they are pulling a bit now as everything heals.I will ask him how many he has.

Do you ever feel hungry a few hours after a good meal? We had a yearning for a chinese take away.Tried ringing only to find it is closed on Sundays :-S So that is off the cards tonight. Will have one tomorrow. I'm going to grill some mushrooms and bacon and we will have that with some nice rustic rolls that I bought this morning.Normally after a Sunday lunch we don't eat again until the next day.

Evening All,
Shirl it has actually been much warmer here today than they forecast.......17 degrees......and quite a bit of sun too. Better than your weather although rain is due, a little tomorrow and more on Tuesday.
Frank I sent you Jane's email earlier, didn't you get that either? Fancy Ros catching you out with an April fool!!
Sorry to hear you had to visit A & E William, such a long time there too. I hope things will be ok so you will be 'out of the woods'. Must be a bit of a worry for you. That is a lovely idea with the flowers and the cross.
OH is off to see that doctor again tomorrow...........should be interesting to hear what is said.
Off to see recorded Upstairs Downstairs now.

Had abusy weekend. My eldest son was over from Paris. We went and watched my granddaughter perform with her dancing and ac ting group..she was very good..They even had 4 year olds. doing their bit Show started at 7 went on for an hour and twenty mins then a break... back on at nine.. Ended at ten a very long evening for everyone. They had already done an afternoon one. That was Sat . Then they had to do it all again yesterday...Those on facebo*k might catch a group photo of her team..We were not allowed to take any photos..They will be selling a video of the show at a later date. Yesterday bought some bits for the garden....and then walked Mocka around the park..he met quite a few doggie friends.

Morning All,
Been busy this morning taxing the car and other general things.
Ann I hope hubby gets on ok today at the docs and gets a better result than he did last time with that unefficient young doc.
Willia what an experience you have had too. Hope everything goes well for you also.
Thinking of Fitz today too.
Jane I never throw away anything that is of cotton cloth as oh uses it for rags.
Pat glad you enjoyed the show but it does seem a bit long for little ones. Sounds as though Mocha is enjoying his walks and meeting other doggie friends.
Oh has gone off to get some fertilizer for the lawns and thinks it will also do my border.
Sunny here again today so it seems like we all have about the same weather.
Shopping later on............ :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-|

I am totally shopped out. After all that I ended up buying the first dress. At least I know there weren't any others I might have preferred. Met daughter in Oxford Street Saturday about 12.30 and didn't get home until 8. pm although a good hour of that was lunch and after all that trawling around the shops and deciding to buy the first dress they didn't have it in my size so had to go back to Westfield yesterday but have got it now so only have to sort out accessories.
Haven't had a chance to read all the posts, will get around to it when I've caught up on other jobs.

Afternoon All,
Have been clearing the TREE Canopy all morning. Four loads to the allotment tip. Have cut and trimmed both lawns, Only been in half hour. Sent you photo of tree trunk. Ros is out now buying climbers to go up it.
Had some bad news this morning, My Brother who is seven years older than me passed away at 6.30am today. When I think the last time we spoke it was a row. and he slammed the phone down on me. I won't be making contact with the family as it will be another bust up. They will have to do without me at the funeral. I couldn't stand an upset. (PUNCH UP) Now there are 3 out of 10.
Going to warm the beef through for tonight, with more Jersey Royals, and veg. Haven't eaten today so will be ready for it tonight.
Will go and have a pint tonight, as a send off to my BROTHER>

Afternoon All,
A bit of sunshine here but not as warm as yesterday. Had to be up early today, didn't want the windowcleaner seeing me in the shower through the open window!! At least with 2-3 working on them at once they don't take long to do.
OH got on better at the docs today. The young doctor did at least apologise to him for the fiasco last time. I didn't catch the name of the other doctor when OH told me his name and said 'Dr Who?' 'No' OH said, 'not Dr Who, Dr L**rence!!'lol The lump turned out to be a ganglion cyst and they lanced it. I think they have a tendency to come back though.
While he was there he asked what was happening about his scan and they said the Primary Trust had turned it down and he has to wait till his doctor comes back from holiday and decides what to do. It does seem that the NHS changes are going to cause more delays. where referrals are scrutinised and rejected like this. It must be difficult for doctors who then have to explain these rejections to their patients.
I hope Fitz is much more comfortable now his staples are out. It should be less painful for him to move about too.
I called in B*S this morning and found some nice comfy mule type sandals, only 1 pair left in my size and the end of a rivetted strap had peeled back very slightly. I mentioned this to the assistant and she knocked 10% off so I was chuffed as I can easily stick it down. :-D :-D :-D
Off to do a bit in the garden next. I finished my necklace watching tv last night so will send a pic.
