Much colder here today but it has brightened a bit. After lunch and Doctors I am going up the tunnel. I can't sweep again today as too many aches and pains everywhere so I shall just have a tidy in the tunnel at my own pace and maybe do a little light digging or just paint some canes.

Well the sun has finally come out.A bit late in the day but better late than never.
I am actually feeling a bit chilly.Maybe put the heating on for a bit this evening.It's on and off like a yo yo .
I will be away all day tomorrow and not back until the evening sometime.Off to the London Meet :-D.It will be nice to see people from last year and meet some new.Hannah is going to pop in so she can see her Mum and check out these strangers that she meets up with lolol.I think she worries sometimes :-)But it is an opportunity to see her just for a little while so that will be nice too.

Kim ,I think Janice is doing ok.Just going to be a very slow job which frustrates her.Still very painful too I think :-(.She will have been for Physio again today.

Jane, You beat me to it. The sun has got his hat on, here too. Been out about half hour. Bit hazy but nice in the sun.

Mel, I know the feeling. I put the new UV bulb in the box this morning, and fitted the hoses back. Tried to adjust the waterfall level, and got the water flowing through. But trying to hold on with one hand and pulling the waterfall with the other, played havoc with my back and shoulders again, Now I can hardly move.

The problem is, when I dug the pond in front of the shed, I didn't leave a lot of room, hence any work I have to do is very difficult. I often end up in the pond, not today thank goodness.

I think it will be Lamb shanks tonight. Ros managed to get Jersey royals on the Market today, and when she went to tesc# with Carolyn this afternoon. THEY HAD THEM THERE ALSO. (Sods law)

Pleased to see Liz's new home is coming together. Are we all going to the house warming ????

It's been cooler here today ,just turned the heating on .

Got lots of posts to catch up on ,had the family here yesterday so never had a chance to read any.

One garage in town has no Petrol and Tes*o's had no diesel today ,we have half a tank so we haven't bothered to top up ,and hubby had filled his van up last week , there didn't seem to be that many cars at the pumps ,i think most people have now topped up.

I looked at the doggie email Jane, how can people let a dear little dog get in a state like that ,poor little thing you could hardly see her all huddled in the corner ,its lovely that she's got the sight in one eye and she looked so happy at the end , a different dog !!
I did read your off to a meet tomorrow Jane , so have a good day .

Don't think we're doing much over the week end ,just a few jobs in the garden if it's not to cold !!

Just spoke to Janice ,and things are NOT going as well as they should be with her knee. :-( :-( She is feeling pretty miserable about the whole situation and wishes she never had it done.It seems like her scar tissue is healing so quickly it is not giving time for her to get the flextion going.She still has a couple of weeks Physio ,but after that I don't know what.I know she can't remain like she is :-S :-S.I feel so sorry for her. :-(

Heating just on low here Mandy .It has taken that chill off now.Must remember to turn if off again before bed.
I think I will be having an early night tonight,as it will be me having to do a VERY early walkies in the morning.Chris will be gone before 8 for surgery,and I will have to leave here at about 8.30 to get to Northampton to catch the train with Rach(Rose of the Shires)to London.It is going to be a long day lol

Evening All,

A bit chillier this morning, but nice sunshine this afternoon. Jane OH's car has needed doing 3 times over the last 3 years. If it was ordinary aircon like mine it would be less expensive to sort, but it is climate control which is more expensive. It is the first time either of us have had a problem with aircon, but also the first time we've had a car with climate control. :-S What a sweet little dog and so happy at the end of the video. How can people let an animal get in that state......wonderful they could give her some sight back too.

MIL saw the consultant today and is to have coating on her bladder which means 6 weekly trips to hospital, then less frequent ones to have it done. The consultant told her it is successful in 90% of people so fingers crossed it will be for her. Her legs were very swollen today and she was struggling to walk. It is since she came off her water tablets. She has to wait more than a fortnight to see her doctor though as he is on holiday and she won't see anyone else!!

We had good fun trying to copy the teacher doing our spiral rope necklaces today.......none of us got finished! We were in a particularly giggly mood.......must have been something in the coffee. The teacher seems to like our group and is arranging for us to go to a bead shop and sit and learn to make something as well while we are there. This is after the course finishes and will be free of charge! :-D :-D

I bet Miranda is glad her exams are over Kim! It's good you have been able to do a bit in the garden......I find my arms ache after stretching up pruning.......best to do a little at a time. That is good news for Rod's wife and will help her with her grief a lot I think. A little baby grandchild should put a big smile on her face. How is your other elderly neighbour who was in hospital recently?

Fiona, what a shame getting a cough and disturbed nights. I hope you soon feel better.

I've not heard that saying Mel. I'm glad you mentioned sweet williams. I want to put some in the tall pots where we sit......they smell gorgeous don't they! I haven't seen Splish Splash round here.

Liz, your new place is going to look very swish isn't it and the windows and double doors will give you some lovely views. I feel quite excited for you!! :-D :-D I bet you are really looking forward to moving your things in.

Shirl, fancy a vet being so cruel. I hate all cruelty, but I have a particular soft spot for horses (you'd never guess would you!) All the hard work they have done for man in past years, helped us advance to where we are, carried us and goods wherever we wanted to go, pulled machinery for us to grow food, get coal from the mines. I just can't bear people being cruel to them.

The temperature is dropping here tonight, no heating on........OH has just had a bath so he is hot now.......just put a cardi on myself.

I am off now .Snuggle down with my book and hopefully a good nights sleep.

Shirl it is just a group of people from GR,anyone who wants to go ,just for a little get together.It was great fun last year and I'm sure will be just as good this year.

Had home made quiche tonight. I had bacon in my half and oh had king prawns in his bigger half!!

I saw Cesar Milan on TV go around one of those puppy mills Shirl, well around the parts they would let him go! I had never realised what big operations they could be before and some of them almost in the desert, miles from anywhere so most folk wouldn't know what was going on. Some folk will do anything for money.

Off to bed now, I think I got off lightly after the gardening yesterday, not too many aches after all. Still, I am about a month behind Frank and Mel in the garden. lol Nighty night. xx

Had another lay in this morning.

Dull and cloudy here today.

Oh working in our little wood behind the west wall digging and leveling the earth that has been dumped there over the years. we have the Easrter walk coming through the garden to get back to the village hall. Vron a neighbour does the Cider and Pasty walk through the woods over the back of us across the big houses land and back to the village hall which is up by our gateway to the road. So instead of going round on te road they are cutting through our garden and oh is going to take the fence down for that day to let everyone through.

Hope Jane has a good day in London today. I don't think I would recognise London now as it is so many years since I have been anywhere near it. I have'nt seen the Dome or the big pointy building. Think the last time I went was to the Chelsea Flower Show when I lived in Suffolk and we had a coach trip there one day.

I didn't get Janes e-mail about the dog. Out of sight out of mind :-( :-( :-(

Dull old day out there this morning. not doing anything around the pond today, I know if I do, I am liable to slip, and end up in the water. My arms and legs/back wouldn't support me.

I have ordered a new "ACACIA" mimosa, for Ros. She dosen't know it's coming. The one we have got caught by the frost in the winter, even though I had covered it in fleece. and is was in the corner by the conservatory and bungalow wall. At the cost of over £30.00 you don't want to loose to many of those.!!!

I have also ordered, seven lots of beads, I paid for them all through paypal on Thursday, and some arrived yesterday. Thats what I call service. The rest are from Chine and can take upto 5 weeks to arrive.

RFos is out as usual, so I am going to get myself a BRUNCH. That will see me through till tonight.

Morning Mel and Jane would be well and truly on her way by now.

Another lovely day here and I managed to walk into two webs with the spiders still in them ahhhhhhhhhh. More washing today, it's never ending.

Jane have a great day in London with your GR friends and catching up with Hannah. Seems you two have a very close bond. I loved London when I was there and brought home some fantastic clothes. I was the envy of all my friends.

Had a lovely chat to one of my school friends on the phone this afternoon. Poor thing can't move her foot and can barely get around the house. Her dog needs walking and she's got a touch of cabin fever. Usually very energetic and on the beach everyday with Pepe. Just woke up the other day with it, no injury or bite. Very strange. :-S

Shirl I love your photo. More snow over there, what's happening????? My new pic was taken at the 2000 Olympics. We had the best time and I had a bit more energy to cope, but then ended up in bed for 7 weeks. Never mind, it was worth it.

Ann, yes she is glad they are over and so am I. ;-) My pruning efforts were very gentle, lol no stretching just trimming back the star jasmine and a few small bushes. It will be a year since Rod's death in June, so this little bub coming on the scene will be just what they need. Joy is doing well with the help of some home nursing, but still doing silly things and she cut her bad leg the other day. :-S Need to tie her to a chair for a while I think.

I love Sweet William, mum used to have beds full of them, so pretty.

It is chilly here this morning..Eldest son Leigh is over from Paris for a few days.. His daughter..my eldest grandchild is doing a showcase of dancing this afteroon with her class...So I will be off to see her perform..He has just dropped his things in and I will see him later...his youngest son is still in Paris.. with his mum..Leigh has been married before so he is over here seeing his 2 older children..Ben his middle son has a bug so cant make the show now...They will all be over again after Easter..He managed to tie this visit in with a work conference in Swindon hence only him over here and work pays for the trip..He has come across on the train with his car this time..At least the easter eggs werent wasted I bought lol...

I seem to be helping the charity shop out well both ways..working and buying.Bought some articial flowers and a lovely necklace yesterday..lol.

JUst going to hang washing out the sun is trying to peep though it had better try harder.. byeeeee

We've had a little rain this morning !! poured for about ten minutes and that was it !! lots of black clouds about so we might get some more ,we need it ,every where's so dry .

Not doing much this week end , we have been to the tip this morning to get rid of some garden rubbish, and hubby has thrown some old drills out, and an old planer , why he's kept them i don't know there's lots more old bits in the shed he could throw out .

Time for a cuppa .
