Hello everyone.
What a miserable old day :-S.It's not thr

Frank. You better get your questionnaire in soon to the Doc.If you are beginning not to want to go out and socialize then you don't want to leave it getting those med sorted .I remember quite a while ago you went through a real downer stage but then you perked up again ,back to your cheeky chappy self :-D :-D :-D.

Denise ,I hope you do get back in the saddle soon.I bet you have really missed riding. How long is it that you haven't been able to?I think you told us ,but I can't remember.

I will try and give Janice a call shortly. Not sure about going to visit her tomorrow now as I am still sniffing and coughing and I don't want to risk passing on any germs to her.

Now I have to clean the stairs :-S

Can't say that I like the new format for the 'Tree'. What's that tree in the right hand corner in aid of?! Also I had some photos of my paternal family (the only ones I have) which now seem to have disappeared, both on MY tree and the person who very kindly allowed me to take them from their tree - LUCKILY, I managed to photo a photo, and they are safely on my computor else I would be VERY fed up! Glad your sister is feeling better Jane, it's a NASTY operation, but should be worth it long term. Nothing much to report from here, life just meandering along,it's nice to have some peace! Frank, I hope you're alright.

Afternoon All,

Well, that's decision made Pat! My 'toyboy' is 6 years younger too, but he took early retirement nearly 2 years ago. I'm sure you will find other things to get you out of the house!

Frank, I think by the time we get to our ages and with what our experiences have been it isn't surprising that quite a few of us have needed a little help at times. You have the effects of your stroke to deal with too which I can only imagine what the effects must be. I hope you can pop to the docs soon and be back to the happy chappy!!

Mel your OH is certainly getting some use out of his new lathe. I hadn't heard of using wax to slow drying before.

I hate the new tree!! Liz, I eventually found my photos. You have to click on 'edit', then 'edit more details' and then on 'gallery' to find them!! Honestly, as I said to GR, you want to see your photos when you click on the name. Now, it is like taking the photos off the mantlepiece and hiding them in a cupboard!! I haven't clicked on the little tree yet, must try it. You can't even see where someone was born without clicking on 'edit'. A right pain when the site is running slow.

Annx Report 20 Jan 2012 16:19

Pat it does sound as if those fish brought disease with them that has passed to others. I asked you about the white spots as I can remember fish that were run down being infected with that. I seem to remember putting something called Methylene Blue? in the water. It turned the water dark blue for a few days and then cleared. I think it was for fungal infections that couldn't survive without light. It's all coming back to me now from many years ago!! I bet Mel will remember it.

My jewellery teacher contacted me today to let me know the summer course she is doing can be booked now and that if I signed up today I would get a 50% discount. What a bargain.......needless to say I enrolled straightaway!!

LilyL Report 20 Jan 2012 16:25

Thanks Ann, what a performance!! I'll have another go for those photos!! I've clicked the little tree! it has a red oblong shape that moves up and down when you click!! but I can't quite see why!!! not only that, but before when you entered someones name and year of birth at the top right hand side of the page, and you clicked it, the person came up on your screen, another two clicks on the name and they appeared on the tree you were looking at, but now, it just deletes! I suppose you have to go through the edit bit to sort THAT as well?!!

Just spoke to Janice. She sounds a bit more herself today but is still in a huge amount of pain :-S.She managed a bowl of cornflakes for Breakfast and 3 chips and 3 bits of scampi for lunch :-D
One thing that has happened today which they don't need is that her OH has been given the boot from his job :-S :-S.To be honest the people he worked for have treated him terribly so I think he is well out of it.

Shirl I just googled ,and realise it is SUGAR BEET.I thought it was Beetroot lolol.I had visions of the roads being red :-S :-S.

I am having trouble trying to think of what to get Chris for his Birthday. The problem as usual is he has everything. The one thing I have got is the DVD
Kings Speech .

After speaking with Janice we have decided it's not a good idea for me to visit tomorrow.

Good for you Pat.I bet you feel relieved now that you have given in your notice. It has been a long time since I worked ,but do remember one of the wards I worked on the atmosphere was dreadful because of a clash of personalities between 2 people. It made it very uncomfortable for all.

I think I had better get my head around what to get for dinner.I didn't realise it has gone 5.

In 2006 shortly after I bought my first second hand PC I signed up for an online course in basic IT tution.
Found it very useful .
Five years later Ive signed up for level2.
Should have done so ages ago.Gives me something to do and makes the PC more of a useful tool.

I was panicking there with you and Mel having birthday cards lolol
Had to have a look at my list :-DI know when Mel's is because that is the anniversary of my Mums death.
I'm not sure what job Larry (BIL) had Mandy. He was retired from Eagle Star a few years back ,but has been keeping his hand in since then.He is 63 (but a very young 63).He has been very lucky getting work.I wonder now if he will look for anything else.Trouble is they still have the youngest at Uni and he still has 2 more years to do.As you might gather Larry is older than my sister ) I think 11 years.
All you lot with Toy Boys ;-)I could do with one of those :-D(yeah ! in my dreams).

I am really pleased that your sister seems to be doing well.

I wrote a message on here earlier and it seems to have vanished funny things happen on here dont they.

Cannot remember everything I put. I think I told you that I had been shopping and that the wind was cold.

I also asked how Frank was and I hoped that everybody else was OK also.

Good on you David. Some years ago I started evening classes in learning how to use a computer.I lasted 3 lessons :-S.I just couldn't get to grips with it and felt so embarrassed as I was the only one who kept the hand in the air for help.
I muddle through .As long as I can do GR ,Emails and looking up things on Google I'm happy with that.I drive OH and Son mad by asking them how to do this and that .........they keep telling me they have told me so many times :-S :-S :-S
