One good thing to come my way as a result of Ellen's diet is that for 3 months she has had no fried food, neither have I.She has had no fish and chips, neither have I.So I must have benefitted during that time.
Maureen,Ive worked out why its slower. Now its installed you have to purchase an optional eatra speed up application. Cute or what? What was an average speed computer is now slow. This transformation must occur during the down load and initial scan.

Good morning all.
Jane - I hope Janice is a lot better soon, probably side effects of morphine and anasthetic - still a very worrying time for you.
Mandy - I hope the news about BIL is good.
Maureen - Yes thanks I had a very nice lunch with the PD group yesterday.
David - I'm afraid although I like Brian Cox I dont really understand a lot of what he talks about.

Morning All,
Dull day again, grey skies.
Well I did enjoy my fish and chips last night and it was a shame I could not share them with you. THERE WAS ONLY ENOUGH FOR ME!!!!
Selfish arn't I? No they were not cooked by the usual chap and were a bit over cooked but I did'nt mind as I enjoyed the crispy batter. I know I know I should'nt have eaten it but I did!!!
Jane any news of our Janice?? I hope she has stopped being sick and had as good a night as she could.

Morning everyone,
Jane I hope Janice is a bit better today. Will be good when you can have a short chat with her on the phone. Must be very worrying from your end. All the best for her recovery.
Mandy your poor BIL. Hopefully, they can knock out this infection so he can safely have his operation.
Ann as I said in my email, thanks for the pic of your lastest masterpiece. I do enjoy seeing your work.
Would love some fish and chips, but the doc says "NO". Keith occasionally puts a healthier version in the oven for me.
We did vist my elderly friend for afternoon tea. Was nice to catch up with her news. Me in my PJ's and OH thinking her computer needed a friendly tweak. We ended up there for 5 hours, lost her internet and caused her a few headaches. The message "If it ain't broken, it doesn't need fixing" :-S
Talk of things from space, they found some sort of moon rock in the Pilbara - northern Western Australia the other day. Now the speculation is whether it originally came from here to the moon or the other way around. Apparently, was a mineral in the lunar samples from Apollo 11 and they named if after the Sea of Tranquility. Thoughts any one???? Maybe the geologists here just got lucky.
Frank keep the finger safe today. Your Ros is very clever to be able to make her own curtains.
Night from me. Take care. Been a hot muggy day here 10.41 pm DST

Afternoon all,
I posted this morning, but now I look and see it didn't load. !!!
Finger still covered and I haven't knocked it today YET !!
Was very low this morning. Yesterday while with the nurse she did a review of my medication (has to be done every so often) All O.K. apart from my Depression tablet. She got me to bring home a questions and answers 3 page questionaire. I sat and filled it in the morning. And from the look of it and the score I got from the answers. I have servere depression. After yesterdays, BP pulse and BMi I thought I was fine. The more I think of the answers I gave to the questions, I can see how my like has changed. Will take the results to the Doctor, and wait for him to change my medication.
Ros has made curtains in the past. But the new Bedroom ones are premade, and just needed altering. They are now in situ. and the "OLD ONES" folded up ready to give to Martine on Saturday.

Hi All No news so far today on Janice.I hate this waiting ,makes me all unsettled . I will hear something later from BIL or my Niece.I just hope she has had a better day today. She thought she would be going home on Sunday but if she is not having the physio as she should it may be a little longer :-S
Mandy,I hope that infection clears for your BIL's knee and that your back hasn't got any worse. Frank ,don't go picking anything with that finger of yours and start it off bleeding again ;-)
Fiona your porch is looking good.A sink is always useful for cleaning up from the garden. We have a loo and sink just inside the back door ,so all mud and muck can be cleaned off before coming in the house.
Kim ,I would love to find something from Outer Space.Trouble is how on earth would I know where it came from lol.Was the elderly neighbour you saw the lady who had the hip replacement ,or another?
Sorry if I have missed anyone out.Liz and Sheila have been quiet recently I think.

Just had a phone call from daughter no 2 , she was shopping in town & heard another customer telling the woman at the till that there had been a bus crash in town not far from where they were, seemingly the bus driver crashed into a petrol station after having a heart attack, & things don't look so good for him either, don't think any of the passengers or garage assistants were hurt just shook up, it will probably be on my local news channel tonight.

A MAN cheated death after a bus ploughed into a Hamilton petrol station today (Thursday). The accident happened at Jet Petrol Station on Townhead Road at around 2.45pm. A number of roads around Hamilton have been closed off, causing delays for drivers in the area. The bus driver recieved several injuries and no one else was hurt in the crash JUST FOUND THIS ON THE INTERNET LOOKS LIKE THE BUS DRIVER IS OK < THATS GOOD NEWS.

Oh I missed you out David. Good for Ellen and her diet.I really really need to do something about my weight :-S.Half my problem is will power.I don't have any :-| :-|.Never had.I do admire people who have.
Something I was reading this morning reminded me of my Childhood. It was the swings being locked up at the playing field.I think that happened on a Sunday.I'm not sure about that.Would that be right?Big chains and padlocks.I think the other equipment was also padlocked.I think there were 4 swings and each two would be locked together.I am I imagining this ,or did they do that?

Family all gone home now ,fed and watered .
Fiona that poor bus driver ,thank goodness he's not to bad , doesn't bear thinking about what might have happened crashing into the petrol station !!!
Jane, glad to hear that you have spoken to Janice ,she's bound to have pain for a day or two ,i know BIL did, but once she's had a bit of physio she'll come on in leaps and bounds and soon be back home .
I seem to remember the playing fields being locked up at night .
I was thinking the other day about the string bags we use to have for our shopping !! they just collapsed when you put them down, and the shopping was all bundled in !! Also did any one have a basket for their shopping ? i had one with the rounded handle ,sort of half moon shaped ,carn't think what they were called now ,but they were an awkward shape to put your shopping in.
No ,no Liz lately ,hope she's ok, and i think Sheila is away on her weeks holiday .

Evening All,
Oh I like that David. 'won't power' it's definitely what I need!!! :-D :-D Ellen's choosing well, those are low calorie cereals too. You will be like a pair of whi-pets by summer at this rate! :-D Then Ellen will need new clothes!!
The porch is coming along well Fiona, it will look good won't it. I wish we had a toilet just inside the back door. It would save trekking through the bungalow in socks and somehow bits of twig and leaf manage to fall off your clothes don't they. Glad the bus driver was ok and no-one hurt.
Frank, it is seeing what your answers are that has made you realise isn't it. It is a good idea they do these checks, so they can make changes before you get too low. I'm sure we will all feel a bit better as well when we get some spring days. I think you always sound happy when you have your bare chest and shorts on!!!! :-D :-D LOL.
I'm glad to hear Janice is nibbling a dry biscuit Jane. Sounds like awful pain with her knee though. I suppose the sooner they can get on with the physio the better it will be for it. It's all been quite an ordeal for her hasn't it. I seem to remember the swings being padlocked to each other.
Mandy it is really disappointing when your back is nearly better and that happens. Back to being very careful again!!
I have quite worn myself out today. I went to the deer park this afternoon and decided I would go as far as the tearoom and toilets. (about half an hour) Flippin knee and hip started to ache about a quarter of the way back and the wind was against me too. Had to keep stopping to ease it. Seems ok now.....probably protested because it is not used to it as I did nothing when I was ill over xmas!! I did get some lovely pics of the deer though and the bracken looked lovely, almost orange with the sun on it. As I got back towards the entrance there was a long haired man in a long leather coat with a bird of prey on his arm on the way out. I couldn't hobble fast enough to catch up with him though to see what kind of bird it was!! Poor old thing, lol!!
OH is out for a meal at Burton on Trent with his work ladies tonight. He said it was pouring with rain there.
Will see if I can sort a few pics to send.
