Just looked at the shopping baskets on line and the one i had was called a Gondola shopping basket ,they are £36 99 now !!!!! i wonder how much i paid for mine !!

I remember those baskets Mandy.......like a big orange segment!! See, you should have kept your basket and sold your Xmas pud!!! :-D lol

Those string baskets are really handy to pop in your handbag......used to see women carrying their veg in them.

I had one of those Baskets Mandy but it was a softer version I bought in France.I do remember those hard ones,and the ends of the wicker would snag your clothes :-S

Jane pleased that you have spoken to your sister. It was another elderly friend I saw yesterday. Keith and Joel called in to see Joy today. She has been moved to a local private hospital for rehab and is doing quite well. They are going to do some work on her shower whilst she is in there to make it easier for her to negotiate. She is determined to come home - no nursing home for her yet.

Mandy I hope your back is improved after a night's rest.

Had a newsletter from my old workplace today, seems a workmate passed away in December, same age as me. I was shocked to read that!!!

Brighter here today but we have a cold old wind.

Just as I typed that the sun has gone in!!

Oh still playing with his new toy. He is making blanks for bowls and then waxing them so they dry out without cracking, hopefully. You should see the sap that comes out of the wood while he is turning the green wood. It splashes in his face and if you put your hand over the spinning wood you can feel it. Centrifugal force sends it out!! They always look wetter when they come off the lathe than when they went on. He now reckons he has about £200 worth of blanks.

My Robin has'nt come back to my hand anymore. He still looks for the fat sticks I leave him by the chicken run each morning and the one by the back door comes to the gate to the patio and will pick up the fat sticks when I throw them to him.

Pleased you have spoken to Janice Jane. She will improve soon. I wonder how much weight she will have lost in the days she has'nt eaten?? I am still trying to be good but I still don't have the Won't Power I should have. Still a lot of Christmas biscuits etc around to be eaten up!! Also I still have a tin of R*ses chocs that oh dos'nt know I have in the uti room. He will polish off most of those!!

Gosh I have just looked at my tree after Kim's comment ad yes they have changed it a lot. Kim have you clicked on the little tree picture at the bottom right?? It is all going to take a while to get used too. I have at least got the number of relations on my tree now as I had'nt on the old one at the top of the page where your name is.

Mum had one of those gondola baskets Mandy. She used it for when the travelling green grocer came as she said you could'nt get much shopping in it.

Mel I haven't got that little tree you are talking about. It was there, now it's gone!!

I added some information to my grandmother's details, saved it and then found it under my own information :-S I have just had to alter it all again :-|

Another drizzly morning.

Frank I hope the different antis suit you better..My dad had a stroke..and the worse part was having to give up his driving,he wasent independent anymore..He was aproud man and wouldnt ask for any help..

I have been cutting mine down hopefully in another 2 months I should be off them..We all need them from time to time..I was put on them after losing my grandson and comming back from the hosp the same day to see my house damaged from the man next doors burst pipe..

Well I have another poorly fish.Lost 2 weds..Went to the aquarium place twice..He wanted to test the water again..WE knew that was right as we have our own kit..I explained what the dead fish looked like..So we have to pot antibacterial stuff in the water for 5 days..this changes the water green for alittle while..How many more are we going to lose..We think we know where we picked this up from..Bought 5 cardinal tetras and 2 other fish in one .place.Went back 2 days later to say we have lost the 2 other fish and were not happy with losing one tetra as well..They said it was an anmonia high...Went in to look at the tetras again in the shop to check them.The whole tank was empty..I queried this they said they had sold them all..A likely story but nothing we can prove..
So every morning we are doing a head count.The sick fish has lost part of the back tail fin..So it has got caught,,!!!

Work didnt go well weds we are still short staffed and I went and complained said I couldnt keep working in these conditions...So had a very stressful day weds..
Today is the worst day of the week for us they are supposed to be getting agency workers in for fridays..But what agency worker only wants to be paid for 1 hour 10 mins a day..The adds been put in for the post at work but with all the checks criminal records etc this usually takes 6 weeks from beg to end..
We have also been told we will be getting some more food trolleys..These are the ones you put your finsihed tray on at some eating places.But the order has missed the dead line for the month...These trolley have to be wheeled into the kitchen and the plates scraped by us and the trays wiped and brought out..2 peo[ple are in there and should be 2 outside doing other work.....We need 3 but there is only one...Me most days lol.

Hi Kim ...I looked at my tree on here but I only have a few names.My tree is on A*cestry where I was first.

I go out to work just to get out of the house.My hubby is younger than me so he is still working...My toy boy 6 years younger...
But the way this job is going I may give it up all together..Takes me 15 mins to walk each way as well..

Thats my moan over with..I better get dressed and have my breakfast and head off to work lol catch you later

I haven't handed my questionaire into the Doctor yet, then I suppose it will be a chat. Then he will have to decide what dose he will give me. I always try to appear full of fun on the thread, but deep inside, I am in turmol. I'm always screaming at the T.V. and swearing at myself when doing jobs, if things don't go just right. I am getting to the stage that I don't want to go out and socialise. Enough about me. How are you lot ???

Pat, you seemed to be very unlucky with the fish, In the past when we had them, all the fish we bought were left in the bag for a few hours before being transfers into the tank, let them get use to the surroundings.

Mel thats good about all the blanks the OH has, He will have try selling his bowles at the local fetes in the summer. Help towards all the Chicken/Bird feed.

Haven't looked at family tree for ages, I feel that I am getting towards the end of what I can find. Will have to look at it again, and see what I can find.

Jane, Glad Janice is over the worse of the operation. THE ONLY WAY IS UP BABY !!!!
I heard from Liz yesterday, she is fine, as is Ian.

Going back to my book now, only a few pages to read. It froze on me yesterday. Had to go on line to SONY. and they talked me through the problem. and we got it sorted.
