Miss Molly had a dolly who was sick, sick, sick
So she called for the doctor to come quick, quick, quick
The doctor came with his bag and his hat
And he knocked on the door with a rat-a-tat-tat
He looked at the dolly and he shook his head
And he said "Miss Molly put her straight to bed"
He wrote on some paper for a pill, pill, pill
"I'll be back in the morning with my bill, bill, bill."

My dad used to sing this to me when we had Jelly for sweet.

Jelly on a plate jelly on a plate
With a wibbley wobbley wibbley wobbley
Jelly on a plate

Candles on a cake candles on a cake
Blow them out puff, puff, puff
Candles on a cake

Sausages in the pan sausages in the pan
Flip them over flip them over
Sausages in the pan

Sweeties in the jar sweeties in the jar
Gobble them up gobble them up
Sweeties in the jar

Money on the ground money on the ground
Pick it up pick it up
Money on the ground

And this is another one he used to sing to me.

Horsey, Horsey don’t you stop
Just let your hooves go clippity clop
Let your tail go swish and the wheels go round
Giddy up! We’re homeward bound

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Dull as ususal here and it may have rained in the night.

Jane here you go:-

Down by the river where the green grass grows,

Pretty Polly Perkins bleaches her clothes.

She laughs and she sings, and she sings so sweet.

She calls, "Come over", across the street.

He kissed her, he kissed her, he took her to town,

He bought her a ring and a damascene gown.

What about this rhyme, what day of the week were you born ?
I was born on a Friday ,so i'am loving and giving , and i like to think i am .

Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

The ned bit that goes behind you ear on my glasses fell of yesterday evening and I can't find it. Now I shall have to go and get new ones as the sides are like wire adn I have had to put a peice of tissue round it so it dos'nt cut in. I am sure the optician can put a new end on these old ones as I had it done with my last pair. Last time I had new ones I had these as my new lenes as they were sunglasses but I found I never used them. This time I know it will be new frames too. MORE EXPENCE!!!!

Morning all/Evening Kim.

Poetry corning, I gign't know many clean ones as a boy. !!

I see the snow is still lying around, waiting for the next lot. !!

We had our pancakes last night, I only had two. I left Ros to do her own. Don't know how many she made lol lol. but she bought a plate in the lounge with a few on.

No cupboards today Mandy. I'll do another when Ros is out, otherwise the kitchen get to the point where there is no work surface left. yo put anymore things, so I start laying then on the floor. When I start on the dish and cooking utensil cupboard. I bet I will find things, that we haven't used since we put them there, 15 years ago :-D :-D :-D Could do with one of those roundabout things, where you can see what you have got.

I think Ros is making Marmalade today, She has a couple of those tins in the cupboard nd she bought a load of sugar yesterday. So the new found space will soon be filled <3 <3 <3

Have ordered flowers for tomorrow. I had to tell Ros, or she would have bought new flowers yesterday, the ones in the vases are just about passed their best.

Anything exciting happening today. NOT HERE. book, computer and tele. another day in paradise.

Iv'e corrected it now Mandy thanks. My brain is ahead of my fingers as I type. I should slow down a bit and get things right.

It is raining here again and it is really horrid out there. The bantams did'nt want to rush out this morning like they usually do.

Must do Hogwart now.

Frank those tins of Marm*de are really good and you get sooooo much out of a few bags of sugar and a tin. It is my favorite marmalade but I don't have it very often. I also add a tablespoon of treacle to half of it and make it into a dark marmalade. Other times I add crysalized ginger chopped very small so you have orange and ginger marm. The lemon one is good too if you can get it. Not all shops stock it.

How many people know the real story behind the song HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

Happy Birthday to You", also known more simply as "Happy Birthday", is a song that is traditionally sung to celebrate the anniversary of a person's birth. According to the 1998 Guinness Book of World Records, "Happy Birthday to You" is the most recognized song in the English language, followed by "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow". The song's base lyrics have been translated into at least 18 languages.[1], p. 17 The melody of "Happy Birthday to You" comes from the song "Good Morning to All", which was written and composed by American siblings Patty Hill and Mildred J. Hill in 1893.[2][3] Patty was a kindergarten principal in Louisville, Kentucky, developing various teaching methods at what is now the Little Loomhouse;[4] Mildred was a pianist and composer.[1], p. 7 The sisters created "Good Morning to All" as a song that would be easy to be sung by young children.[
The combination of melody and lyrics in "Happy Birthday to You" first appeared in print in 1912, and probably existed even earlier.[1], pp. 31–32 None of these early appearances included credits or copyright notices. The Summy Company registered for copyright in 1935, crediting authors Preston Ware Orem and Mrs. R.R. Forman.[citation needed] In 1990, Warner Chappell purchased the company owning the copyright for $15 million, with the value of "Happy Birthday" estimated at $5 million.[5] Based on the 1935 copyright registration, Warner claims that the United States copyright will not expire until 2030, and that unauthorized public performances of the song are technically illegal unless royalties are paid to it. In one specific instance in February 2010, these royalties were said to amount to $700.[6] In the European Union, the copyright of the song will expire on December 31, 2016.[7] The actual American copyright status of "Happy Birthday to You" began to draw more attention with the passage of the Copyright Term Extension Act in 1998. When the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the Act in Eldred v. Ashcroft in 2003, Associate Justice Stephen Breyer specifically mentioned "Happy Birthday to You" in his dissenting opinion.[8] American law professor Robert Brauneis, who heavily researched the song, has expressed strong doubts that it is still under copyright.[1]

The song that the two teachers sang

Good Morning to All"
Good morning to you,
Good morning to you,
Good morning, dear children,
Good morning to all.

Afternoon everyone.
It's snowing again!........Ah Fiona I was the little girl with a little curl :-D and so was Hannah. She used to love it when I said that rhyme and then rubbed my finger around the middle of her forehead.

I was expecting to get my car back today....but guess what .One of the parts that has come from France is not the right bit to go with the other part :-S :-S :-S.So they are going to modify it !!!.That is 2 weeks now .Plus they haven't been able to do the service and MOT as the engine is out.So I will have to book it in again :-|

Fitz has been and has just left to go and see his Mother.I noticed that one of his front tyres is quite flat.So I made him promise he would stop at the garage and sort it out.He said he thought the car was driving a bit odd,but he wouldn't have done anything about it...One day he will come a cropper :-S

Mel ..It came to me in the night that rhyme,,slightly different from yours
Down by the river where the green grass grows
There sits (so and so) washing her clothes
She sings ,she sings, she sings so sweet
She calls to her playmates down the street
(then the name of friend) come to tea
What a jolly time we'll have at half past three.

I just love these old rhymes. It brings back lovely memories.
I think it is Ann who said a lot of them are skipping songs.

The birds are going crazy "feeding' There is not enough room on the coconut for them all .They are queuing up on the branch lolol

The little girl with the curl was made for my daughter, she has very curly hair and when she was bad she really was horrid :-0 and the horsey horsey one I was singing with Harry on Sunday.

Did you enjoy Patsy Cline David, I have a big collection of CD's ranging from classical to boy bands but country music is my favourite.

Children can say some embarrassing things, I remember taking my son swimming years ago, there was a black boy on the edge of the pool and my son turned round to me and asked why that boy was all dirty.
