And to all my friends on here, sorry I haven't been around but we are still all caught up in the untimely death of Carmel's son and all the arrangements, phone calls etc. And I'm sure you don't want to be depressed over that.. However, I look in every day to see what you are all up to and I read all Frank and everyone elses emails, which keep me cheered up.
So, hope you all have a good day. C Y A L

Morning All an dEvening Kim,
Yesterday I was so depressed..................it was raining here then we had sleet and then we had hail and then rain again. It was like it all day.
Jane so sorry to hear Chris has a slight bels Palsey, how irritating. It must be strange for a doctor to know whats wrong but good in the sense that he can do something about it straight away and what luck you had those antibiotics.
You were lucky with the weather last night too on your night out.
Poor Pat still struggling with the two dogs. I had one of those twin lead connectors for my two jack russells when I had them.
Frank you are kind to buy the tank of petrol for Martine. I hope her hubby gets on ok.
Rollo I have never been on a sleeper train but once went on a steam train that I remember and that was on a school outing.
We have a tractor run today here going from the village hall which is up the top of our road and we have said they can park the tractors up our driveway road as there are about 45 of them. They are having lunch in the village hall. I must go up and take some pics as there will be a lot of vintage tractors there. I bet there are loads of Massey Fergi's. Shame the weather is not good as it would have been lovely to have a fine day for this run. A friend's hubby is leading them on the run. O the sun has just popped out, perhaps it will be a bit nicer after all.
I got really cross with myself yeterday, first I did,nt want to cook dinner, then when I started it I dropped the box of flour getting out the cupboard. It went all over the floor and I had to clear that up whilst cooking. I was not a happy bunny. You would have thought that oh could have done that for me but no he just came out to see what I was shouting about and went back in his study!!!

And the froth of the Guinness to you too Jane LOL.
It was like a railway station here on Friday, family popping in and out from 11am. A lot to organise and think about for the funeral in Skegness on the 27th. The last one to arrive was granddaughter Siobhan, who came with our two greatgrandchildren, Ralph and Maggie, and they stayed on after everyone else had gone. What a great ice breaker, they had their toy boxes out (that we keep here) and there was fun, playing, laughter, all the things that go with little children. After clearing up when they'd gone, we had to admit they were a great relief to us for a while.
To get out of these four walls, after the rain stopped yesterday, we had a drive over to Daventry to have a look around and a meal in our favourtite cafe (mentioned on here before). We left about five, and then the heavens opened! 45 minutes of driving through rain that was more like fog (and still some twerps with no lights on!) and we got home just as it stopped again. Today, it's a cross between rain and snow, can't make it's mind up!

Morning All, Evening Kim
Gray dull and wet day, had a shower of snow about 3 am, but it's all gone now, I was up & down 2 or 3 times last night getting drinks of water and cough medicine , my throat was driving me nuts, so feeling weary this morning,
Daughter no 1 & family not coming down for dinner, daughter been up & down through the night with Sofia running temp of 40, It's probably a reaction to the MMR jab she had last Wednesday, the doctor did say Sofia might get a temp or a rash as it was a live vaccination, as long as it's one or the other it's ok , but she was to contact the NHS if Sofia has a rash & temp the same time, Thank goodness for Ca*pol & Ibuprofen
I need to use up some apples that are in the fruit bowl, probably make an apple crumble. and custard for sweet tonight , daughter no 2 and boyfriend will still be down.
Coffee time :-D :-D :-)

Just cleaned out the big chickens with oh. All nice and clean and dry now. He has put two dustbin loads of woodshavings in their house from his turning. He is on BIG bowls at the mo from the tree he cut down the other week. He gets them ready for full turning next year when they have dried out completely. If he leaves them as logs they take longer to dry.

I always feel so sorry for the little ones when they have to have these jabs. Always remember my son having one when he was tiny and his little leg and botty went so red!!
William I hav'nt heard the word twerp for ages now. Mum and dad used it a lot when I was young. It is quite a nice word really........... :-D

Mel I often call someone a twerp.Usually Chester lol.I think it is great word.
Poor Sofia .IThe jabs are so important and yet they make the little ones feel so miserable.I see the number of Measles has increased so much because of parents not having their children vaccinated.
William like you say children re great ice breakers and can take your mind off other worries. You don't have time to think about the sad things when there are children about lol.Are you driving to Skegness William ,or sharing transport with family?
Typical Mel.How bad of OH to leave you to clear up all that flour......Just what Chris would have done too :-S :-S...His reason would have been that he would just be getting in the way :-S :-S :-S His right eye is worse today and is watering a great deal. His mouth ,I don't think is worse, but is noticeable.I'm not sure if he will go to work tomorrow or not.I think he will decide later today. He's a bit quiet today.
Well Hannah and I have chosen the frames for my sunglasses. So they have been put away with my records for when I'm happy with this pair. The girl gave the frame a bit of a tweak to stop them slipping down mt nose a bit.I did say I was finding the reading a bit hard, but could drive ok in them and middle vision fine. She was very impressed :-D :-D.Told me to persevere and it should be fine.I think that is why they give you 30 days trial. I think I'll stick some soup on for lunch .We aren't eating until this evening.Just Chris ,James and Me.Hannah is out to eat now and her train back to London is just before 5...I have a joint of Pork .

Pat!!!!! what have you been drinking ....... you really do have the hiccups ........ :-D
Hope Chris's problem clears up soon Jane, you don't expect to go to your surgery and find your doctor unwell.
You are a kind soul Frank, helping out Martine, you know what they say, what goes around comes around, so hope you have some good luck as well.
Son came over with family yesterday, Finley is really growing up, came in walking like 'jack the lad' went straight behind the sofa where the little bike is kept and was whirling around the room, then reversed it back to the wall .... said he was parking like daddy, then rode it forward to the wall and said that's how mummy parks :-D
Are you decorating the bedroom yourself Shirl. I like the colour green, it is a very restful colour that's why years ago the inside of canopies that went on babies prams was always green.

Afternoon everyone,
We've had a little rain here this morning ,but we have managed to sort a few things out and take to the tip ,and called at sons for coffee .
Nice to see you popping in William and hear that the little ones have helped to ease your sadness a little ,have been thinking of you both <3
Fiona, i like the sound of the crumble :-) i haven't made a crumble for a while now , might do one this week when the family come for tea . At least you know that its the injection that causing the high temp for Sofia ,as you say thank goodness for the old C*lpol !! Hope you feel better soon too.
Jane, bit of worry for you with Chris, i think i would be quite too!! What can cause this? ,stress any thing to do with it ? and look how busy he's been ,you only said the other day that they made a c*ck up and he had to see all those extra patients.
I see Pat has the hic ups :-D :-D
I saw some lovely tiles i liked yesterday afternoon in our local tile centre , just wished i had saved up when i was little ........only £120 a square metre !! and we want about 8 square metres!! oh well will have to keep looking :-S :-D

Pat you could have another dog to bath .Chester is in need of one big time :-D.Hannah says he is smelly :-S :-S( how rude) poor boy .I hope he didn't hear that :-|
Mandy I don't think it really known what causes Bell Palsy .He certainly has had enough on his plate lately, maybe a Virus(who knows). He has made a decision not to go in tomorrow.I think because he is waiting to see if it gets worse.Plus he feels he mouth is all not quite right and to see patients just yet he wouldn't feel comfortable...He never ever takes time off..so I give him a big thumbs up for making the right decision.Bless his cotton socks.
I love the sound of Jack the Lad Finley Maureen :-D :-D.Quite a character lol
Where is Frank ??

Here I am at last.
My, what a lot of snow we have had. It was snowing like mad when I got up 7.30 am and continued till well after mid day. We must have had 3 inches, but thawing now, just slush on the road.
Martine came for lunch about 1.30 pm. It took her over 1 1/2 hours to get to Oxford. Usualy 45/55 min.
She's gone home now to walk the dogs. She enjoyed her lunch/dinner. Roast beef with all the usual, she cleared her plate, that made me think I haden't given her enough/or she was hungry. !!! She had more than me ;-) ;-) ;-)
Dish washer on now, so will relax in the armchair and have fourty winks.
It's FIFTY FIVE YEARS today that I was called up for National Service. I remember it, as though it was yesterday, Where have the years gone ???
Glad to see you around Will. Time is a good healer, love to Carmel.
Give Chris my regards Jane and hope he sorts this out soon. Must look it up on Google.
Hope everyone is well, see you later.

Those Daffs are brilliant Mandy.I bought some and within a very short time they started to open. Chris's nose is now feeling numb(on the affected side) he says it is all to do with the same nerve. You are right Mandy .he never takes time off ,even when I think he should have.I think he feeling a bit sorry fpr himself at the moment. But not making a fuss ,like I would do.He must have diagnosed many people with the same thing.
Maureen .love the pic :-D :-D
