Jane I just can't understand why he never came out last night. He had'nt touched his food at all. I have taken out the boards in the inner bedroom bit to give him more room as oh said he may not be able to get out of the hole now!!!!!!!
I do hope he is ok as I worry about him so much.

Been busy lately sorting a few things out so have missed a lot of posts and look what happens when my back is turned.......no Frank! I hope he's alright and will be back soon.
It's good there is some history about the dog Fiona. It will help to explain any odd behaviour she might seem to have. I have seen a couple of tv programmes that featured dogs with OCD. One was fixated on rocks when taken for walks, would get too excited by them and would just stand obsessively barking at them and not seem to hear anything around them. The other chased shadows and was looking for them all the time. It sounds as if she is doing well though as it is early days for her yet and settling in to new surroundings and with new people is bound to be unsettling for any dog. Her alopecia will hopefully improve now she is out of the rescue home too. She is a lucky girl to have found a good home!!
Can someone email me Fiona's pics please. :-D
Glad you are feeling a bit better Mel. I think with all these nasty bugs about lately sometimes we just get a tiny dose that makes us feel 'off' for a while. Every time OH comes back from his meetings at schools he gets told to wash his hands !! lol. Well schools and children are little germ factories aren't they. :-S Fingers crossed you won't get the 'bug' too Pat. Get the antiseptic wipes out! lol.
See this Hedgehog a few years ago that weighed 5lb Mel. It says he was four times what his weight should be and that the vets might need to give him a tummy tuck once he's slimmed down!! I never realised the distance they cover each night, so I expect when you set him free he will soon trot the weight off!!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-493355/Four-times-proper-weight-George-5lb-hedgehog-goes-crash-diet.html
I went up to J28 on the M1 today and for quite a few miles there was a 50mph restriction due to animals in the road!!! I never saw any though and a few hours later the signs were still there and still no animals. You wonder sometimes whether they just forget to switch them off! :-| :-|
I changed our broadband package last night so we can go wireless with the laptop. Boy what a nightmare to sort what was best for US.....all they want to do is sell you extras you don't need!! I could hardly understand what was being said, got passed to 3 different people, had to ring back twice as the putting through didn't work or they cut me off and I still didn't get one thing sorted with them!! It's with the same provider we already have and it took over 3/4 of an hour. :-| The good thing is the first year's broadband will only be £3.25 a month whereas we pay just over £8 now it has gone up. :-)

Hogwart has been out tonight already. I put him in a little of his favourite tinned cat food. Only gave him about a desertspoon full and most of it has gone. It has a very strong smell and I don't think he can resist it.

Ann you have been busy.Hope all is up and running smoothly. As for lit up signs, yes I'm sure they can be left on ,long after the danger or whatever.I know in the past on Motorways I have said to Chris make sure to keep to the restricted speed limit because the signs warn of something..lo and behold there is nothing !!
I am going to say Night Night (not that I'm off to bed ) but need to go googling :-D :-D

Gosh Ann hogwart is not that big and I have cut his food down now for a week or so. It is just that you put the food in and think "is that enough?" I must cut him down but if I do he has a party and scrapes everthing on his floor up. The sheets of paper I put down in his cage are all scewed up in the air. He has even parked his water bowl up the side of the cage before now!!

No, the one in the paper is a proper little 'porker' Mel!! I suppose Hogwart's got used to building himself up with the good food he's been getting at your 5* accommodation and keeps looking for more. He hasn't got a belt to get tight like us! Still, it does sound as if he's ok now which is good and less worrying.
Happy birthday to your daughter Maureen and it will be good for her to go out for a meal like you say. Painting v HW......I know which I'd prefer. :-D
We are all booked up for Anglesey now.......a nice cottage near the sea and a sandy beach. I pay small subs to Ben*nden health care which I signed up to at work and have never used the rewards that go with it so applied this time and got 10% off which is nice. :-) I have decided to be more 'savvy' this year. ;-)
Orf to bed now.......was woken by barking at 6.15am so I need to catch up. OH wants me to type up the bones of some notes for him to 'tweak' tomorrow as I am quicker than him..........I knew he would before long!!
Hope everyone has a good sleep too, including Kiah and that William''s cold soon goes.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Hello Frank,
Brighter morning again here today with some sunshine.
Hogwart came out last night and has left me a HUGE wee or two or three and some of the other stuff so I am a happier bunny this morning.
Going to give him just cat food tonight.

Morning All, Evening Kim
Frosty bright sunny morning, got a taxi up to the surgery to see the nurse for my 3 month blood test for my kidneys, no problem with giving blood today the nurse at the doctors is always good everything is fine, blood pressure good, had a nice walk back down hill all the way , posted MIL mothers day card on the way down, it will be a little early but better than being late it was great to see the sun a little chilly though my ears were tingling when I got into the warm house. can't wear a hat on my head yet and my jacket didn't have a hood. just had my hot chocolate and watched a bit of tv, need to hoover and a bit of dusting. Still not got the strength to do my windows and they are filthy the sun shows every bit of dirt up.

No nasty bruising then today Fiona :-D.I expect you love to able to get out and about now, after so long of just not feeling up to it.Especially when the sun is shining as it seems to be all over the UK today. I like the sound of your tea tonight Mandy.I'm doing my Quick and Easy Paella.I have a pack of Prawns that need to be used (I got them for Jess) as she doesn't like the Chorizo smoked ham and peppers that I use.So I'll do the separate one again for her.
I hope Frank is enjoying this lovely weather in the garden doing some of the jobs he said were needing doing :-D I must get the next lot of washing out now and have a cuppa :-D

Morning/Evening All,
A lovely sunny day here, makes you feel better and more like doing things! :-D
Yes, Mandy it does look a nice quiet place, the beaches look quite deserted on g*ogle earth so not being busy will suit us!! It's many years since I've stayed where you can hear the sea.....will be nice. The cottage is next to a church so Sunday won't be so quiet, but there is a pub that serves food close by as well as village shops. Like Jane says........just need good weather!! :-D Have you decided which it's to be yet Jane......Antwerp v Brussels? I intend to go to Brussels sometime as I like the pictures I've seen of the old architecture, I don't know much about Antwerp though. Do you have your car back now.......I've lost track?? OH is still waiting for the heater part for his......2 weeks now!! :-S
That's good Fiona, getting out in the fresh air, good news at the docs too. I had to post a card for my sister's birthday today too.
I have to check what I've got for OH's birthday on Sunday when he goes out today. Might get him a Hubby card today and some gold letters for 60. I liked Mel's idea of a cake so will have a look at some when I go out.......not putting 60 candles on though!!! :-0
Off to the shops now......BBL

Anglessey sounds really nice Ann, when are you going.
Talking of dog behaviour whatever happend to that lovely dog whisperer. can't even remember his name. Thanks for the photos Fiona, she looks a very healthy, sweet dog. I can forward them Ann if no one else has yet. Mandy's usually pretty good at that.
Friend phoned first thing this morning after opening her pressies and was very pleased with her painting, she said it will have pride of place on the wall.
I thought Frank would probably be in his garden getting on with jobs, if this weather stays fine I shall try and get in mine by the end of the week.
Loved Les Miserables so much we are going to see the show in the west end, it's really booked up, must be more popular now with the film, the earliest we could get was May, still, that's something nice to look forward to.
How's poor old Rudolph, still sporting a red nose :-(. My voice is still not back to normal, I don't feel like I've got a head cold but I sound like I have.

Ann you can get the candles with numbers on so you would only need 2 :-D :-D There have been 3 of our OH's with 60th's lately. I think I have changed my mind about where to go with Janice......Lille looks very nice and is just an hour and 20 mins on the Eurostar direct.It'.s not too big a place either so hopefully not to exhausting. Also I have to remember Janice's knee.I have seen a nice hotel which used to be a Convent. On certain dates the return fare per person is just £69.Which is a bargain.
The sun is still shining but the warm heat had dropped off.I could just see the girl from next door through the hedge and she was stretched out on a lounger on their terrace !!
I bought a big pack of antihistamines today ready for the old Hayfever symptoms.
Just off to chop up some things now for the Paella

Hi everyone. Good job this a typing effort, after all my coughing yesterday my voice was completely gone this morning. We had to go to the opticians about my glasses and I had to get Carmel to explain the problem as I was speechless for a change! Short of another new pair of glasses, they have fixed me up with a spare arm off a ladies pair of specs. I think I'm starting a new trend. However, unless you were so close as to make me feel uncomfortable, you'd never notice.
Who was on about road humps on here recently? What gets me about them is that there seems to be no universal standard. It's like they have been made up on the spot by whoever regarding size, height, length etc. So you have no idea in an unknown area what to expect. In Polesworth, North Warwickshire (maybe even in Staffs or on the edge!) I won't go from the A5 up the hill to the village, I always leave the A5 at Baddesley and go the country way round. The other way has so many humps and they must be the highest going. They could outdo Alton Towers rides :-( If you are coming down the hill, it's even worse unless you sit with your foot on the brake to stop your car rushing headlong down and getting seasick. I think the chicane ideas are the best with little breaks and give way signs.
Jane, what do you take for your hayfever? I get Loratadine on precription from our surgery, but being a gentleman, I'm not going to ask if you still have to pay for your prescriptions. I never had hayfever when I was younger but my doctor was saying that a lot of people are getting it now as they get older. Maybe when we had the Clean Air Act come in, we also left the door open for other things. I've been told that's why there is more moss and lichen these days, I don't know if that's true.
