Good news on the eyes front then Jane!!! I bet you felt like skipping on the way out, I know I would. lol As you say, you would have been fretting until the appointment if you hadn't gone private.
I bet you are itching to try your new computer Fiona and can't believe it has finally arrived.
We got a new iron today. Didn't want a heavy one or any whistles and bells. We had a look in Sain*burys this morning and bought a basic one that just steams, puffs steam and squirts water........£3.84, the cheapest I have ever bought!! We thought at that price it could be a spare if it wasn't very good and we'd get another but we've tried it and it seems fine.
I managed to take a wrong turn on the way to Grantham thinking the lorry in front was taking the same turn but it wasn't and I ended up having to follow it anyway. It turned out to be a 'good' mistake as it was only a small detour and I came across a brand new retail park with a Ma*alan and T K Max*. I think I shall be making the 'mistake' again next time I go so I can call in. lol It was quite foggy on the way back till I got to Melton Mowbray. Just south of Melton I spotted a lovely old yellow stone house I'd never noticed before as the trees hid it......will see if I can get a pic next time.

Fancy you eating those pies Shirl!! Did you like the Red Leicester cheese too? One of my favourites and we haven't any in now I fancy some!! At last you have a bit of sunshine and will see the cobwebs like I can here. lol
My word Fiona, your OH soon got the computer sorted. You made me laugh with your 'bigger tree'......you can see a few more shoots now can you. lol
I think we are off to bed soon to watch a bit of tv. Both with aching backs and me knees after more clambering up steps and bending. OH heard from an old work colleague today that one of his staff when he worked had sadly lost her husband at only age 31 with a stroke.

Annx I can see more family branches all at once because the new screen is much bigger than the last one, only problem is that my old family tree software is not compatible to the new computer, so I have bought some new up to date Soft ware as I now have windows 7 , and will try and send it by Gedcom, I have never done this before but other half say's he can do it.
well It's time to say goodnight. night night xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Morning Fiona and All,
Sunny here today and really spring like. I forgot to shut the chickens in last night as I was busy doing jobs. They must have thought it was their birthday this morning when they woke and could get out the house at daybreak. I did have the leccy fence on though.
I did a mass of ironing and washing yesterday, thats why I was'nt around. Feel quite pleased with myself!! Think I may tackle some gardening today as I have'nt really done any yet. Keep thinking about the border but never getting up there to do it. I walk past it everyday when I go to feed the bantams up the top garden and things are growing well but I have'nt cut the dead off yet as I thought we may have more snow and it gives the plants a bit more protection.
Washing on the line and windows open for fresh air, what a treat!

Just a quicky this am. Our buyer has pulled out of our sale! Apparently the are worried about Insurance, as we have the river Barle two fields away! So,back to square 1. As Mark sais, at least you're not in Japan Bahrain or Libya. He's right of course, but disapointment is rife!

Morning All,
Dull again here today. I need to do loads of washing too Mel. I love it when you can let the fresh air blow through the house too.
Oh Liz, what a year it is becoming for you!! Things have a way of working out for the best and it does take the Laura pressure off for a while. Just keep picking your way through it all.
Oh has been driving me nuts lately.......I'm sure he thinks I am his 'memory'!! lol He can't say his head is full of important workstuff now can he. Yesterday we went out with the shed, garage and backdoor unlocked, which he always takes care of!!!!!
Frank, enjoy your day and not too much digging at once........don't want you having those dizzy spells.

Hi All
This is my second attempt at sending this as my broadband connection is doing strange things. The weather here is dreadful with thick fog and I am sitting next to the radiator which is on. Guess thats what we get for living "up north" Sorry but baby still not arrived yet. DIL seeing consultant this afternoon so maybe there will be some developments. They asked us to go down this weekend to help and DIL does not want us to sleep there as she is afraid that she will go into labour and we will see her in distress so they have booked us into a local B&B. Hubby is not amused but I have tried to explain that very pregnant ladies can have strange ideas as their hormones go haywire but he is not happy. Just wish baby would come NOW Liz sorry to hear about your house. Maybe a better deal which will make everyone happy is just around the corner.

Snap Fiona. although in my case I used to go away and make and eat my dinner waiting for the computer to start up. I'd got so used to a slow computer that I can't believe one click and up it comes now, amazing.
Good news Jane, so worth the money for peace of mind. I must go and have my eyes tested. My dad had glaucoma so they do that puff test every time I go. Been to the dentist too, aren't I good. Cost £85, ouch, that hurt more than the hygenist ...lol.
That was lucky Ann, whenever I take a wrong turning, I drive around completely lost and usually end up where I started. Like the last time we met up.

Have been reading since lunchtime. Eyes starting to ache, so I thought I would come and pester you lot !!!! Been on Ebay looking at all manner of things, can't believe what's on there for Sale.
Maureen you are a good girl, going to the dentist. I have to make an appointment, but with only six of my own teeth. It's £3.00 a tooth for him to look at them !!!! So will leave it as long as possible. Ann, now you have found a new way to get lost, I bet you be getting lost more often.
Anne, Do hope the baby comes soon, I can understand your OH. I think I would feel the same. plus "MORE EXPENCE" for you.
Fiona, you realy do get to enjoy your grandchild. Wish Lewis lived nearer so we could see him more often. But he does phone us a couple of times a week to "WIND US UP" He's a right little B
Where's LONG JOHN this afternoon, not out for a long lunch somewhere I hope.!!!
Mel, you seem to be getting the better weather at the moment. Watch out or we will all be booking that Caraven, to get away from our nasty weather !!!
