Afternoon all.
Just popping in again.Well the morning has been spent on the phone to the Ombudsman,FSA,CAB,Solicitors,Mortgage Lenders .You name them we have done them.
Complaints left with Ombudsman,FSA.Complaints Dept for GE Money (there I have named them).
Next it could be the Media!!!!

Thanks Sheila for asking Michelle ,but I think we have done what we can for now.
Can't stop as I am now dashing off to have my roots done.

The sun is shining beautifully now ,but it feels a bit nippy.

My new computer is up and running. It's whizzing around everywhere, can't believe how quickly everything comes up, and no more waiting for the print to catch up with my fingers.

Poor Alfie. I took him this morning to the vets for his SNIP !!! Might have guessed it wouldn't go smoothly, after an hour the vet phoned to say he only had one B**l which was really tiny, the other one is still inside him somewhere and she didn't want to open him up, as it would be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. So we will have to wait a few more months to see if he develops a bit more and try again. KERCHING.

Hi Everyone. Had a very upsetting conversation with Laura this am! She is at her wits end with her marriage, the business not doing well and was relying on us living about 30 mins max down the road! I had to tell her firmly that Ian was my main priority, and that I had to balance out was was best for him and for her, but she just got more and more upset, accusing us of being selfish and never having offered any family support, and so on and so on! All of which is very unfair and not true, We helped her sort out her first divorce (!!!)) baby minded when she had to work at w/ends when Polly was little and do the best we could. Spoke to Mark afterwards, and he feels that Laura is an adult and can't expect us to devote ourselves to her and live where we don't want to be. I think that leaving her husband, finding a job and us child minding is at the bottom of this, and quite frankly we can't be a party to that. Now, we are beginning to wonder what to do for the best. Frank, please take care, see the doctor if your symptoms persist. That's all for now, feel a bit down to say the least!

Well, just back .....went for a little walk around the field at the back and both of us nearly did ourselves a mischief getting over the new higher gate!!!! We had a look at the pond in the middle to see if there was any frogspawn and there was. It was so thick it stood above the water a couple of inches in places. I was wishing I had a jamjar like when I was little. lol Tie a bit of meat on a string and dangle it in for them when they hatched.

It sounds as if you have a long process to go through with Hannah's house, Jane, but she will feel better for doing something. Will she have to stop the sale now?

Sorry to hear business is down Sheila. As you say some people are having to watch what they spend.

MAUREEN........welcome back. My word a supadupa fast computer.....must be great. It's a pity Alfie will have to go back, poor little mite.......the vet should have only charged you half this time!!! lol

The Japan disaster is absolutely awful isn't it. I see that thousands of bodies are being washed up now. I felt so sorry for that lady looking for her 99 year old mum......she couldn't even find the exact spot where her mum's house was. There are quite severe aftershocks too......I would be so fearful of another even bigger one. It must be worrying about the nuclear power station too.....new developments every day.

Many years ago a cat took up residence in our home.
We thought it was a she cat..I said to Ellen if wer'e keeping it we should get her neutured.
I took her to the vets for that purpose.
I returned in the evening to collect her.I noticed the shaven patch on "her" side.
How much do I owe you I asked?

Nothing they replied with a grin. It's a neutured tom.
True story.
Pays to know the difference.

Don't over do it and knock yourself up .

Hi Maureen, nice to have you back , poor little Alfie ,well i say little, i bet he's grown quite a bit .

Oh David !!! well at least it saved you a bit of money .

When i was out in the garden i happened to look up and laying on the covered up garden furniture was a black cat fast asleep in the sun ,if Toby had known it was there he would have had a fit , i walk up to it and spoke to it and it hardly moved ,just settled down and went back to sleep .

Better sort tea out now Pork loin steaks with veg tonight .

Another long session on my tree. The weather is still wonderful and we had our first cup of tea in the garden, or rather the building site that will be the garden when hubby finishes his transformation. We have to wait until after easter for fencing man so it is going to be a long job.
Sheila thanks for the message only problem Im not Anne Merrett. I would love to look at your tree but do not think it would help!! Please do not forget to rest.
Frank Hope you are feeling better now.
Jane Hope Hannah is feeling better now.

How upsetting for you Liz. Mark is speaking with good sense, Laura from stress and emotion. She is an ADULT and what would she do if you and her dad weren't there? I know you want to help and am sure you would do all you could to support her, but expecting you to move where she dictates seems a bit much.

Anne, bits of my tree are in a mess and I need to spend some time on it. I seem to have mixed up 2 people of the same name born in the same place in the same year!! lol

David, that made me laugh. lol Reminded me of someone I knew whose cat went missing. A neighbour told her she had seen it dead in a gutter nearby where it had been run over. She went and collected it, by now bedraggled, wet and muddy all over the white fur patches. Tearfully, she held a little service for it in her garden, saying what a good cat it had been and buried it. A day or 2 later, her cat re-appeared on the doorstep. She never did find out whose cat she had buried.

OH has gone for a snooze in the conservatory after his efforts in the garden.......before he goes off to footie later. It is lovely and warm in there.

Oh dear Liz, sometimes we can do too much for our kids, although I'm just the same, any problems and they're straight on the phone to mum but things have evened out more now and I'm calling on them as much as them on me. It's hard to say no, but you sound like you have your priorities right. Pour yourself a large glass of wine, it always works for me.

Well, Alfie's home and got his head stuck in my empty humous pot, licking every little tiny bit. The vet only charged me for his ID chip so not too bad. we will have to wait a few months now and see if his 'bits' have grown. The vet said he is so cute he was everyone's favourite there today. If you look at a she cat they nearly always have a saggy belly, that's one way of telling.

Sheila, naughty girl, put that lawn mower away !!!!

Are you feeling better Frank?

Hello all,
I feel a bit brain dead and just can't seem to get the oomph to type .I have read all your posts though.
Liz I do think Laura is way out of order speaking to you like that.I'm really sorry she is having problems, but do stick to your guns.

Ann the house will stay 'sold' for the moment.Hannah has informed the lady at the estate agents and put her in the picture. It would be lovely if the buyers are prepared to hang on .I don't know if the estate agent will say anything to them just at the moment.
I am getting quite worried about what all this is doing to her.She hasn't even told her friends.(I think she is embarassed).I said she must talk to at least one of the girls. She is close to the edge with it all.The thing is if she loses the house by repossession or declaring bankruptcy it will affect her future so badly. This is what is upsetting her more than anything.Like she said she has done nothing wrong (except for buying the house with ex ) !!! I say no more.
I won't waffle on any more ,I will just waffle off lol
I have my hospital appointment tomorrow afternoon.I could really do without that.

Must go and stir the spag bol.Hannah is leaving at 3.30 am for Dublin.I just hope she manages to have a good time .She bl*** well deserves it.

Back from shopping and caught up with your posts.

Maureen nice to have you back on board sailing your new pc!
Love to Alfie. I wonder if he knows how close he got today to loosing his tomhood.

Liz you stand your ground with that daughter. She has to remember she has her whole life ahead of her and you should now be enjoying your retirement without her hanging round your necks. I think she is being very self centered about this and is'nt thinking of her poor dad at all. Hope Ian is feeling better at last and things are still improving.

Sheila you naughty girl let Michelle or hubby mow the grass. Thats not resting it's hard work!!!
Do as you are told for once please.

It sounds like most of you have had a nice day today but it has been overcast here all day. We had a hard frost last night and I had to clear ice out of the birdbath today before cleaning it.

Jane what a worry for all of you with this house business. I would like to be on the other end of your tongue when you get your wind up!! Hope everything pans out ok in the end for poor Hannah. It will be a blessing when the bl**dy house is sold.

They were collecting for those survival boxes in M*rris*ns today. thought they might be and was ready with my money.

Bought a really naughty chocolate fudge cake, feeds 8 it says!!
It will only be feeding two in this house.................................

Got wraps for dinner, salad and salmon (tinned) for me and seafood platter for OH with king prawns too.

Mel, that sounds a BIG cake!! lol I think I'm off to bed now, feel done in after the painting, gardening and climbing the gate. The field was hard to walk across too. Since it changed from a wildflower meadow to cattle grazing it is full of holes and clumps of soil hidden by growing grass. No need for those special 'fit' trainers, feet wobbling everywhere. lol

Toodle pip till tomorrow......xx

Just saw your post Fiona. Looks like you are hot on the heels of Maureen computerwise......will keep fingers crossed.......been a long wait.

Thanks Guys, you have boosted my morale and resolve! We will go on with our plans and do what we feel is best, as you say Mel, Laura has her whole life ahead of her and at our age we should be able to enjoy our retirement and NOT have this sort of burden put on us. She keeps saying that she wants us to be part of their everyday lives, but as Mark said 'Mum do you want that'?and quite honestly with their busy lives, the answer is No!!! now and again, but NOT on a daily basis!!!! Ian, a bit depressed by all the upset, but apart from that, doing really well; peeing problems are betterish, but time will cure that. Must away nearly time for Silent Witness, VERY spooky last night, wonder how it will end!!!!

Not more snow Fiona !!
At least its good news about the computer , it seems ages ago you said you were having a new one .

Jake and Chelsea love those little boxes of raisins ,i think Jake takes some to school for his snack time .
Jake had his eyes tested again on saturday and got another new pair of glasses his eyes have improved ,he might only have to wear his glasses for another year or so.
As son is colour blind he asked the optician if Jake would be too , the optician said no , mothers pass on colour blindness to sons and fathers pass it on to daughters ,i didn't know that !!
