Hello Mel ,Anne and all
I am still in my dressing gown ! Tut Tut.I have been up though since just after 9.I decided to put the beef in on low and then slob on the settee to finish my book.I thought it wouldn't take long ,but I have just finished it about 15 mins ago.Just peeled the potatoes and veg,so I think I had better get washed and dressed now.

Anne the heat patches/pads are Dee* Hea* ones. They stick directly on the skin.I get a box of 4 so always have some in the cupboard. The heats lasts a good 8 hours or more and I have found them the best.

I have a four legged pain !!!!!! he can smell the Beef lol and he's being a real nuisance

Afternoon everyone,

We have had drizzly old rain this morning , family came for coffee and have just gone ,we have decided not to go to the coast ,not much fun in the drizzle, and i was looking forward to fish and chips too , oh well there's always next week if its better weather .
I'll have to have a hunt in the freezer now for something for tea .

Mel, i don't think i could have shot a little Bunnie ,they look sweet little things ,only thing is they do grow into big bunnies!!!!
You sound as if you are a good shot !!

Anne, we keep thinking of the poor people in Japan too, you carn't believe that here we are doing our normal things and in Japan just total devastation .

My OH says that the death toll will run into the 400,000s at least. It must have been really awful for everyone concerned. You just did'nt stand a chance with that wall of water and most of the houses being made of wood if you did'nt drown you would have been clobbered by something or squashed. It dos'nt bare thinking about does it...............

Afternoon all
we said prayers for Japan in church this morning, all those people living and dying, it's such a nighmare. I don't think I would feel safe at anytime living there if I was aware that there was going to be earthquake anytime of the day.
It's hard to believe OH and I were in Sendai just about 29 years ago when OH was in Merchant Navy, the Gas tanker ship we were on was probably there or very near to where all the devastation is now. at that time I was not even aware they had earthquakes.

No more snow since yesterday, think we have been lucky and missed it again.

Bought some flowers in Morr**ons yesterday and the smell was lovely when I went into the kitchen this morning, now you can only smell the chicken, thats a great smell too.
Had lunch , now I need to iron OH work shirts.

Jane Report 13 Mar 2011 13:54

I can well believe that number Mel.As Mandy says there are we going around our normal everyday things, and at the same time the nightmare that Japan is suffering .As are lots of other countries too.I do feel so lucky that I live here even though I moan about it sometimes.I have a cousin who lives in Japan but I think he is far enough away from the disaster area.
I remember when we were there are friend said that Japan was due for a massive earthquake in the next few years. How right that was.

Things are cooking nicely here.I think it will be a mid afternoon meal.Hannah had a bit of a flap on just now as she couldn't find her passport for her flight to Dublin. But big sighs of relief when it turned up in a file.I remember 3 years ago when we went to Portugal Hannah (again) had lost her passport but only realised the day before we were due to fly.Major Panic!!!!!!!!.I can't believe how lucky we were to be told by the passport office if we were at Peterborough Office by a certain time she would get a replacement passport. We managed it by the skin of out teeth, and it cost a bomb lol

Chris has been busy planting seeds in the garden.I bet the rabbits are watching lol

Well its just as well we didn't go out as its now pouring with rain here, hubby's watching the football and i'am knitting dolls clothes for the little ones dolls .

Franks quiet today ,perhaps he's busy cooking his beef joint .

Hi Everyone

What have I started! Thought I might tidy up my family tree papers and do some cross referencing(?) In three hours I have sorted 6 people and there are more blanks than I care to consider. This is going to take months. It has stopped raining now and has warmed up.
Jane Thanks for the info re heatpads. I will definately invest.
Must stop now and start to prepare dinner.

I use a wheat filled bunny on my knees when I go to bed at night. Since I have been doing it I have'nt had any trouble with my knees. I pop her in the micro and give her 1 min 30 secs wehile I clean my teeth. Walk therough with her held against my back and she goes on the knees when I get in bed. OH bought her for me for Christmas year before last.

I have been known to pop her down the back of my trousers when my back is bad!! in the waistband!!

Lol, I can just picture you giving your bunny a piggyback Mel. It's amazing how a bit of heat helps though......I have my trusty hot water bottle although that isn't as safe as it might burst. My word, your OH better watch out.......bullseye Mel!!! That little bunny better keep looking cute as well!!

I might get some of those patches too Jane, they would be good to take on holiday as I always seem to overdo it with my back.

MIL said she fell off a box pegging the washing out yesterday and broke the laundry basket. Apparently she was impatient and couldn't wait for FIL who was on his way to help. She's being treated for osteoporosis and should really be careful.....could break a hip, but I don't think she realises.

I think the Japan disaster is dreadful my next door neighbour keeps on at me it is the end of the world. I really do not want to think like that.
I have just come back from Crufts dog show I went with a friend who
entered his black pug dog but he did not win. Now very tired. me

I watched Birmingham v Bolton and enjoyed the match Birmingham
beaten at the end .Glad Man U won though yesterday. Like to see them get the cup

Well on the way home we passed the old peoples home and I do not know if I mentioned it but the aunt of Jedwood lives in one of the bungalows and she was saying that Jedwood could win the European song contest in May with a song called Lollypop .they are just waiting for a final vote for the contest but are representing Ireland. However this same lady lold me they were in the jungle but they were not something to do with a agent letting it out and it was a secret.

My daughter thinks David is so cute wanting to get his wife a cleaner.
My friend Josie cleans for £5.50 PER HOUR.DAVID she said it is best to look in shop windows but always get a reference. Agencies are very expensive. There ia a lady who comes in our shop and shes got a man cleaner called Horatio he came complete with a frilly pinnie from an agency and makes her a cup of tea before he goes home but he charges
fifty two pound per week. It amazes me where do people get the money for things like that. This gentleman is about 26 years old and very nice looking I am told. But she does have to wash his pinnie out everyday she says I fling it in the washer with my tea towels on a cool wash. My tea towels need boiling so it is a good job I do not have him . Well I dont want him he would unerve me I think strutting around in his pinnie .

Jane I tried some heat pads for a bad back and found them good
What was your top like .

Pussie willows I remember them used to love them .I used to love the long hot summers when young sat in the front garden aged eight with my white pure cotton dress floral with puffed sleeves a frill at the front tied at the waist in a bow at the back and a pattern of canterbury bells all over it.I wore it out. My mum put it in the rag bag and I took it out later made a shoe bag of it at school.
I remember pegging all my liberty bodices on the line about six and a kid called Piggie asked if he could see our pups and he nicked all my liberty bodices my mum was fuming she dashed off to his house and told his mum when piggy got home he got a slap across his ear and after the deed was done he said to his mum I took them off the line and put them in the kitchen in a wash basket. He never spoke to me again. I did see him years later he was called Peter Haines but he was called piggy because of his funny nose. He did get handsome but his nose spoilt him.

I have written three pages of my book while lounging in bed I have called it Witches Brew and it starts off in 1939 because that is the year I was born and remember my childhood days and the war. I am telling the story and I am the witch I start off with casting a spell from a book on my pet cat
after the arrival of aunt Mugwort my mothers couson who lives in a remote cottage in the lake district. Have to pick an area yet but will do that later. I expect it will be rubbish but will keep going .
My couson contacted me I found her on Genes. We talked on the phone and she told me about aunt Sally and her Witches Brew cafe and goings on. Making steak pie for tea with swede and potatoe mash so will go
and dish it up xxx

Hi Everyone

What a glorious morning! Have just beern for a lovely walk in the sunshine and hubby digging happily away in the garden.Spent a very long time on my tree yesterday and sorted lots of things.Looked at my very early research and reolised that a lot of it was questionable to say the least.Have relied on other people too much so doing some things again.
No baby news, things have calmed down again so back to normal at the moment.
Mel please don't shoot all the bunnies, just some.
I hope Hannah is ok Jane. Its good that her mum is there to help.
Frank Do take care of yourself. Sounds as though you have been doing too much.
Off to sort lunch

Morning All,

Glorious sunshine, might do the same as Anne and go off for a walk in a bit. OH is shipping rubbish to the tip at the mo. Well, my old iron doesn't work either so as Frank would say.......more expense!!

Poor Hannah Jane, there must be something that can be done to end the misery. Has she told the mortgage people they are affecting her health and ability to do her job to pay the mortgage. I hope she can find a way out of it.

I hope your daughter is improving Fiona and that she doesn't have to have the injections again. Gettings stressed about the needles won't help. My OH hates injections too.....even watching them done on tv!!

Frank I would see the doc if a bit of rest doesn't sort you out. It is easy to overdo things when the sun comes out. I wish I was thinner!! Thanks to you and Liz for the e-mails.......I always have a giggle reading them.

Well I have just rollered the baby blue on the bathroom walls so I will see if OH fancies that walk.

Oh Jane i hope there's something that can be done to sort this mess out for Hannah ,not good for her all this stress.

Frank, get yourself off to the doctors , you know we all worry about you , and its what you would tell us to do .

Hello out there I hope everyones got sunshine although it is very cold. Fiona do you still have snow .I hope your daughters problem with her hair improved it is such a nasty problem.I have such thick hair and so can amagine how stressful that would be
Shirl how are you coping without og keeping on top of it all I hope.
Poor Hannah I was telling Michelle she was going to ask around being a solicitor what steps she could take . Michelle says they get requests everyday for more help from the bank but she said the banks do not help .
Michelle works longer hours and did not get any bonus this year due to the shake up and complaints about the big bosses getting big fat bonuses.

Why did Hannah split up with her fiancee Jane. Michelle does not want
anything off Mohsen even though she paid out £8000 pound for his keep when he came ,bought him clothes, food paid for driving lessons and a heavy goods licence. The brother Adel phoned he is going to Canada
he said Mohsen is a beast of the worse kind .He offered his mother a kidney but so far the mum is very sick and they are not doing any transplants so was mohsen lying I do not know .I worry about Michelle wanting to go to Tunisia not to get him back she said but to kill him.
Now I think about loosing that poor baby was proberly a good thing.
Then to say he could not have children. Michelle only ever wanted him.

The dreadful problems in Japan make our problems seem little but they are there and life is not easy for so many people in this country. Our business is failiing slowly people just do not have money to buy themselves a drink nowadays.

I suffered going to the dog show was so tired today had a job to get out of bed. But I am going to mow the grass.I typed something late being bored but it did not get noticed but was bored resting I saw a message from Frank late. But had fallen asleep on the computor it is the medicine.Everyone is down and gone to bed maybe.I watched the skating
but fell asleep so watched on the repeat later.

Michelle tried to buy her own house several years ago but the morgage company would not lend her enough and she gave up the idea. I think she saved and saved and could only get someones rubbish which would have cost a huge amount to improve it.

Anne all over my genes front it says Anne Merrett wishes to view your tree.
But do not worry I have very little to view and if you do not remember asking it does not matter to me or you. lol My brother thinks I am mad even thinking about aunt Sally the witch he said she was a harmless old lady and not even a relative we called everyone aunty he said.
I will still research and write my story.

Mel all this reference to guns and shooting upsets me. I am a towny All the rabbits I see are pet ones. I do remember my uncle in Martley used to shoot rabbits. i would be hopeless with a gun proberly shoot myself. The Magnolia sounds lovely on the wall.

Jane what a job pulling hair out of ho s back. Did you do it with those
strips. I did that once with a strip on my husbands leg and he went beserk.

Back from the hospital, daughter no 2 ok, no needles. thank god says she. doctor has given her a stronger dose of steriods, bald bits a little smaller, can take years to show any great improvement or maybe never will.
She doesn't need to go back till August again gives her pleanty of time to get over her degree at uni and think what she is going to do about the furture. we sat for almost 1/2 hour before seeing doctor and it took 10mins
to talk to doctor.
lunch time , we are starving potato's in the oven . need to grate some cheese and organise salad.

Frank, please rest !!!!!!!!
