Good heavens Ann, what a day you've had!!!! I absolutely agree with you about OH's! If I lose anything, 'I' either says exactly what your OH said, OR starts pulling the house to bits searching and driving me mad!!! I know he's trying to be helpful, BUT..... just leave it alone! I always tell him that if I need some help I'll ask, (that goes for everything!) If I don't ask, than he can rest assured that I DON'T need any help!!! but he does like to be 'busy/bossy'! As for your phone!!!!! I had hells delight trying to top mine up back in the summer, and in the end I HAD to ask 'you know who' for help!! of course he smugly did it correctly without any trouble and had a look of triumph for quite sometime!! Years ago, when I used to go over to visit my parents, my mother and I would sometimes go for a walk, and quite often if 'I' was around he would come and find us, to make sure we were alright!!!! Why on earth should we not be? feeling left out was nearer the truth!! I'm all for devotion but that's ridiculous! parents used to laugh, I felt cross!!! We've been married for 49 (!!!) years next year, seems hard to believe! Thanks for the photos Ann, your frost was about like ours.

Been out this afternoon as I had to send a parcel and missed the van yet again today.
Went to Holsworthy but before I went I thought I would look in the shop down the road to see how the wreaths were going.......
They had all gone and he asked me for more so I am now wiring away to get more done.
Hav'nt caught up with the posts from today but loved the pic from William of the spiders web and the lovely lot from Ann of this morning on her car ride.

Evening one and all,
Thanks for the photo's, I have sent my coments.
It's been like being on "COOKHOUSE" duties here today. I said we were going to pop down to see Lewis and Harvey tomorrow. Julia will be away on business in Nolfolk till Friday. WELL, Ros said it would be nice if I made a big SHEEP SH##PIE So outcame the onions, carrots, two trays of mince. defrosted the mince, browned the onions boiled the carrots in tiny pieces. Added the mince and all my add ons. Did a large saucepan of potato's and grated a large block of cheese And I was on my way. Then I peeled about a pound of brussels, skinned half dozen carrots, and a Massive swede.. Thats tomorrows dinner sorted. All veg in bags in Fridge. Then I had to start all over ,getting our dinner for tonight. I am totally CREAMED CRACKERED. I have left Ros to do the washing up tonight.
Not guilty of getting involved. My moto is you had it last, you find it !! That way there's no trouble, well not always. lol lol.
PAT, Do hope you haven't hurt yourself, do you need a rub down ??? I'M FREE !!!
Haven't moved out the house today. Would you believe our silly neighbour. She put on a massive coat and scarff. Went out and HUNG out her washing It was stiff on her line before she got it indoors. IT'S still out ,. At this rate it will be there till the rain comes to thaw it out. !!!
Missed the Local and main news chatting to you lot.!!! Will try to catch News at 10.
See yoiu later

Just watched the Midlands News on TV and found out why there was a problem getting to Nuneaton today. A lorry carrying deadly chemiclas caught fire and has even meant that the surface will have to be repaired. This was M6 Northbound just after Junction 3 towards 4. They are still stranded there and it looks like it won't clear till about 10pm tonight. If I'd have gone to Goodyers Lane Bridge I would have seen all the traffic. They were using Corley Services as a rest area, no vehicles were moving at all. So, as bad as it was getting into Nuneaton, I'm glad I wasn't on the M6 traffic!

Quite right Frank on the losing/finding front!! I think we all have our own way of carrying on but! I'm afraid I'm not very good at being told what I can or can't do particularly by OH! Asked -yes - told- NO! You've certainly had a busy day on the cooking front, and I hope you have a good time tomorrow. Goodness William I think you were brave to go out in your car today - I was going shopping but thought better of it - will bite the bullet and go tomorrow. A tiny bird bashed itself against one of our windows this afternoon, we thought it was dead, but it fluttered a bit, so we put it in our barn with some straw tucked round it, and blow me if it didn't recover and fly off! so that was a good result, we both felt well chuffed!

Jane, it was right alongside Corley services, they were using it for everything, just leaving their cars/trucks and going off there. Lord knows how they'll sort all that traffic out! Lily, the main roads were fine, dry in fact so there was no problem driving and we are just off the main road in our Close.

Thank you Kim, Liz, Jane, Pat and Shirl for your cards. They are all together on the window sill at the mo. :-D
Liz, if we are out and OH waits in the car while I pop in a shop, often I will bump into him on the way out! If I say 'what's the matter', he'll say he thought he would walk back with me! I know him too well to fall for that, he's just got impatient with waiting and come to see where I've got to!!!! LOL. Yes, he pulls the house to bits too!!
We saw a dusting of fine snow in Hinckley William. We went up the A5 to Lutterworth after we'd finished in Nuneaton and the whole length of it coming the other way was a solid stationary jam mostly of lorries, right back the motorway slip road! We wondered what had happened and were so glad we were going the other way.
Pat, I can well understand you getting upset when you listened to that, especially at this time of the year when he's bound to be in your thoughts. That fall must have hurt on the hard ground.........I expect you will have some colourful bruises! I have seen people get 'legged over' with those extending leads you can get as well. Hope you have a nice Christmas meal tonight.
Jane, it sounds like you have been a 'maid of all work' today. I do like the sound of your log fire! I miss listening to the spits and squeaks that wood makes as it burns and watching it too.
Mandy that must be a real nuisance for your OH as he must use his phone a lot.....fingers crossed they get it sorted. I bet Chelsea is so excited to be an angel and will be thrilled to have you watching. :-D Will you be able to get a pic of her?
That's good that your wreaths are going down well Mel ....... I bet you would sell loads round here.
Frank, you are very good making such tasty meals to take with you. I bet they really appreciate it.....I know I would.

Morning one and all,
Not so bright here today, but very frosty. The clouds look like they may hold a surprise for us later in the day.
One line of frozen washing still out.SILLY MOO.!!!
We have a natural gas fire in the hearth, but will all the plants and flowers on the kerb, we can never light it. !! During the day, when we are only in the lounge we rely on f the three bar Halogen heater. very efficient it is too, and not to expensive to run.
I have the wall heater on in the bathroom, as I am going for a shower and shave. WE should have had a radiator in there, but thought we wouldn't need it. How wrong can you be :-D :-D
Postman just arrived, so will see what cards we have received
see you later.

Mel, have we had a photo of all your wreaths yet ??? That reminds me I haven't had any lunch yet. What shall I have .
Have just emailed an order for Ros's Godmother in the IOM. She was 87 this year. We send flowers every Birthday and Christmas. We find it better than trying to find something she would like in the shops. anyway what do you buy an old person in a nursing home ???
Brightened up a bit here, but the frost is still around. Will have to remember to get the veg and pie out of the fridge, to take to Harvey's.
I suppose all the girls and boys are busy with their jobs.

Thanks to everyone for the Christmas cards. Shirl. yours will be a good one to copy, you might get it back next year :-D and thank you Mel for your encouraging comments, I'm never really sure they are good enough to send. I've been like one of Santa's elfs, closseted up in my little art room painting away.
I think rain is on the way for tomorrow, it's going to be wet and warm, well, warmer which I prefer to this frosty cold weather. :-D.
We'll be counting down soon, I'm more or less done, just waiting for things to arrive from Am***on.

I'm now trying to get into the Xmas Spirit. The tree is in it's stand ,the fire lit,I usually put some carols on and have a glass while I decorate .But I will have to wait until Chris gets back in an hour as the tree has a major wobble ,so I am leaving well alone. It needs the clamps tightening up .I have tested the lights and they are fine(phew)
My machines have gone now .You should see all the muck and debris that got washed underneath the washing machine :-S :-SI will give that a good scrubbing tomorrow. It's too blooming cold in there today.
Thanks Maureen and Mel for the cards.Maureen,it's another cracker :-D :-D Mel ,a lovely sparkly one .I made a mess of my carpet when all the Holly and Berries fell out lolol
My hands and face are itching now so have had to take an Anti Histamine. It must be the tree :-|
I have another load of Laundry to be collected this evening.I better make sure I don't get too used to this lol

I seem to have been chasing my tail today. As i have had use of the car I have been in and out buying this and that.Chris bought a Turkey Crown at Waitr*** this morning and a Gammon (I didn't like to say I have already got one).So we have 2 now lol
Laundry has just been collected ,and I have only just got dinner in the oven.Tray Baked Pork Steaks with loads of veg and potatoes all sprinkled with Thyme. My Tum is making hungry noises :-D
Mel you should have seen Chris's face when I said your card was from you ,OH and Hogwart. He said who the heck is Hogwart. When I said he was a Hedgehog and that you had taken him in,he said oh but they have fleas lolol
Right I had better crack on again.
