Morning All,
Thank you David! Sadly, I don't look the same now, but am just thankful these days that things aren't worse!! :-D. I'm like you with the knees except I can't kneel down either and have to bend over instead. Is Ellen settling any better in the new place?
Jane I recorded the ceremony and whizzed through the slow bits this morning. Take That were good, Annie Lennox, The Who and I liked Eric Idle. I still love Ray Davies' voice. The Spice girls didn't look very safe trying to posture and pose on top of the moving cars!!
Your poor niece getting reactions to bites like that, bet she avoids anything with wings now.
Off outside now to do a bit more in the garden before the rain comes. Jobs to do........BBL

Afternoon All No sun today :-S Just cloud and a bit muggy feeling.I have got through half of the ironing now but am still faced with a large pile. My poor hanging baskets on the front of the house are going to have to come down as the flowers have died off :-S :-S
Ann I have a feeling Posh Spice had a bit of trouble keeping her balance at one point on top of the Taxi. She didn't look too happy to me.Mind you I wouldn't have looked happy either if it was me up there lol

Shirl you are right Ray Davis was a bit difficult to hear.I think the lad with the hair might have been someone of X Factor or some programme.(not sure) I have just gone through Franks emails lolol wink.He is a naughty boy sometimes isn't he :-D Well my afternoon has been totally non productive.I was upstairs in the loo about 1.30 and thought I heard James calling. did think it was a bit early for him after working last night .Anyway when I came downstairs I could see Fitz sat out at the Patio Table plus his bottle of wine and a huge bag of crisps. The was the afternoon gone.James and Jess came and joined us .We discussed all sorts of issues ranging from political correctness ,to the Olympics,to family issues,to all Fitz's capers in the past etc.It was a great few hours :-D I am now just about to get together all the stuff for the Paella.

I'm just having a bit of a Boo Hoo moment.I have hung on to my old paper driving license for donkeys years. My new one has arrived today (the photo one).I know we have to move on but I did love my old one with the plastic sleeve and a curl of Hannah's hair in it.It was a curl taken from her first hair cut about 27 years ago!!!
I think the only thing I'm pleased about is the fact the 3 points I had have now been removed, after more than 10 years lol.My 3 points were for speeding ....37 mph in a 30 (in Cranford Fank)
Kim hasn't been here for a couple of days.Has anyone heard anything from her?

Evening all,
Its been a muggy day here too, we've had a little sun a times ,but the sky is so black now it looks like we might be in for a storm .
We really enjoyed the closing ceremony last night ,we sat and watched it till the end , i thought the spice girls looked a bit wobbly on the top of the taxi's too , the taxi's went round a bit quick !! perhaps they were trying to make up a bit of time !
I have my paper license Jane, why did you have to change it ? think i'd better check the date on mine and see when it runs out !! Just checked and they run out when we're seventy ,looked at the passports too they run out 2015 and in an envelope with them i found sixty euro's !! left over from the last holiday !!
No, no Kim or a couple of days , i hope she's ok.
I wonder if Maureen has had a paddle yet :-D

In 1990 I got a TSO in Gateshead.Cost me 3 points and a fine.
I was the only car on the road,or so I thought.I went through a red light. A police car came out of no where and pulled me over.I'd to sit in the back while they showed me on a little TV going through the light. To confirm it was me they did a close up of the car to show the car's registration number.
I'll never under estimate them again.

Evening all,
I thought I had better pop in, DON'T WANT YOU WORRYING.
Not a great deal to report. Went down the Canal again yesterday, forgot to take my stick :-0 :-0 :-0 Not easy walking now without it, and on the Canal parth with Hundreds of people trying to pass you. We only stayed an hour.
Jane, Don't mention Cranford. Back in the sixties I was driving down passed your house and caught up with two old biddies doing about 15 m p h. The only place I could pass was entering Cranford. And to my surprise there was a speed trap. Got pulled in opposite the Pub. got a ticket. Then the old girls had passed me, and I had to folloiw them all the way to ISLIP (THRAPSTON) I ended up late for an appointment in Peterborough. Thats the only three points I had in all my years of driving. (STILL GOT MY OLD PAPER LICENCE) in my wallet. for indentification, should I need it. !!!
Had that Loin of pork tonight again. Cold with fresh veg from my garden. Runners, Broad beans, peas, and potatoes. Carrots were shop bought. The loin was on the bone, the most tastey bit of Pork I have had in ages. (Morriso#s) They do good meat.
If any of you find my Emails are a bit near the mark, let me know. and I will censor them !!!!!
Looks like rain tonight. and I have watered everywhere.

Morning/Evening All I think we have had a fair bit of rain during the night, but now it is quite sunny.I just put a load of washing on the line so fingers crossed it stays dry. I'm waiting for the people to come with the dehumidifier/s.I hope I don't have to wait too long(like with the plumbers lol)

Morning All,
Sunny and dry here, wish we'd had your bit of rain in the night Jane. :-S We didn't and none is forecast for today so I'd better get the watering can out for some of the newly planted shrubs and plants. Then there is some washing needs doing.....and sweet peas to pick!!!!
OH has gone to a first meeting of the Independent Person advisors........one day a right scruff in his faded, muddy old 'gold panning' clobber with split shoes, the next all smart in suit, crisp shirt and tie.........a rare sight these days!!!! :-0 lol. We are out for lunch today and he said he wants to change first..........says he's not used to a tie now he's retired!!! I can see his point after having to wear one every day for over 40 years. A bit like bras, tights and high heels for us ladies!!!
Frank, I hate crowds around me but sometimes you can't avoid it. People can be so rude these days though, pushing and jostling you and some parents let their children run riot. It's a nightmare if you are a bit unsteady, have dodgy joints or have just had an operation. I have thought a WHITE stick could be handy at times.......or a cattle prod!! :-D
Better have a quick look at these emails now ;-)...........I'm sure they won't offend!

Men are here and it is now getting a bigger and bigger job :-S :-S.The dining room wall end of the lounge has got to be stripped ,skirtings taken off ,plus the back porch. They said all tiles will have to come up asap and it could take possibly a couple of months to dry. There will be a huge dehumidifer in the kitchen ,a big fan in here and another big thing in the garage. There could be more ,but I am keeping out the way at the moment and quietly having a little breakdown lolol.Aaaarrrggghhhhh!!!

We were supposed to be having Laura's 18month old Springer/Labrador dog for two weeks while they are on holiday, BUT, this morning she rang to say that her friend has offered to have 'Stella' for the whole two weeks! whew! Although she is a lovely good tempered girl, lively is a word that comes to mind, and bearing in mind that Millie is 9 and starting to feel her age, and we are 109, the thought of thislively dog was beginning to seem less attractive by the day! so to say we are relieved is an understatement! Oh dear Jane, it sounds quite a mammoth job! still at least you won't have the worry of that leak and not knowing where it's coming from, and it is summer, well, what passes for!! Today is sunny and warm, tomorrow?!!!!!

Morning and Evening all,
No rain here last night. I was out watering everywhere.
This morning I have picked fresh, Runners, Broard beans and Peas. and dug a root of Potatos. All prepared for dinner tonight. Roast Chicken.
I have also cut my front lawn and cut the edges. The neighbours edge on my side is so bad, I trimmed that as well, and lifted my mower over to his lawn and cut up the side near my boarder. Might shame him into doing it, but I doubt it. LAZY SOD !!!!
Ros has popped to Tesc# for bread (the loaf we had went mouldy) milk and odds and ends. Then I can have some lunch.
Jane Glad you had words with Madams brother, what were his reactions. LITTLE C#W !!!! Knowing how well you have treaded her over the years.
David, It just goes to show. "BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING" It will come to the point where you won't be able to have a Crafty PEE in the hedgerow. !!!!
Liz, That must be a relief for you and Ian. As much as you might love the little dog, when it comes to excersise two or three times a day It gets a bit much, especially for you OLD FOLK :-D :-D :-D :-D
Ann, the worst problem is, Even with a stick they still BARGE pass you. I now tend to stand my ground and make them go round me
. One silly thing on Sunday. An extra large Electric wheelchair with and extremely large woman in it. Parked right in the middle of the canal path. It was like a ROUNDABOUT. One bloke said have you broken down ??? When she said no. He said " Well move your bleedi#g arse" I did have a laugh together with a lot of others.

Big Brother indeed Frank. You never know who’s watching. There used to be CCTV cameras everywhere, even in lay byes. Now I think its evolved to those Google street watchers. Now a real policeman on patrol,he's hard to find.I notice they walk around in twos.Is that for their own protection?
