We had runner beans yesterday. I picked to many, but we managed to eat them :-D :-D :-D Still a fair few to pick, and lots of flowers. Must dig some potatos, still got two rows and three bags. My peas are filling out now, and the onions seem to be getting bigger. Ros picked some spring onion this afternoon,

While THEY wre out shopping she bough three dahlias in bloom, ready to go in the garden, will put those in tomorrow.

I had a day watching the olympics. I use channel 450 and click up the all the events. thoroughly enjoyed my day.

OH often says 'you pick' when it comes to things like tiles or furniture, but I often make him come with me to look now as he doesn't always realise what you have in your mind's eye isn't always available so it becomes a compromise! :-)

Well, I didn't get a top! Mostly long sleeves and woollies in stock now so I'll make do with one of my old ones. I want a lightweight navy blue cardie and saw one I liked that was a jacket style for £45!!!! I left it on the hanger at that price.......be bound to ruin it in the first wash. :-|

Off to bed too now......hope the ones having trouble getting their beauty sleep have a good night. I had a funny dream last night where I dreamt I fell asleep! OH asked if I had a dream in that sleep too! :-S

Morning All an dEvening Kim,

Yet another dull day here today. We hav'nt really had much summer this year have we?

Arn't we doing well on medals this year. I have even been watching some events which I don't usually do. Oh has had it on all day and all evening. He likes the rowing mostly and has got quite excited at some of the events!! The cycling he also likes.

Think it is a day in the tunnel today as there is bound to be more runners to pick. We had them last night with dinner and I still have a load in the fridge. Shall have to put some out on my table.

The family ate me out of eggs last week!! so I only have a half dozen to put out on my table. At the mo there are cues out there and toms and courgettes so beans will top it off nicely. Also had some nice sized spring onions with pleanty more to pull. A lot of flowers always fall off my runners at first Ann. I have to keep sweeping them up in the tunnel.

It is now 10 and guess what?......still waiting for the Plumber :-S :-S.

I think we must have had a fair bit of rain in the night.Hopefully that will be it now and we will have a dry day..
I'm just going to fill a couple of buckets to put in the bathrooms for flushing the loos if water is off.Then sit and takes a few deep breaths 'calm down,calm down ' LOL

My cold is gradually going ,i'am not so bunged up now.

Just waiting for hubby to come back from looking at a job then we should be off to Norwich ,he has to order some more windows in Norwich so i thought i would go with him and pop into As*a on the way home .

Hope your plumber turns up soon Jane , just give him plenty of tea , might make him work quicker :-D :-D

I am just going to the bottom of the garden for a dam* good scream.No Plumber today.It's tomorrow now.The Boss forgot to let plumber know he was supposed to be here today and has sent him off on another job!!!!!!! :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S.I did say I'm wondering how reliable they are.Lots of apologies and he admitted it was his fault.Even so ...not good enough :-S
So another day waiting.I think I will go and look for some new sandals.I did get a pair the other day but could do with another for the hols.That'll cheer me up

Morning HAPPY JANE and all, good evening KIM. Jane a good scream will do you a world of good. Mind it doesn't attract the neighbours, they might call the POLICE thinking Chris is doing you a mischief, with the garden spade !!!

Been on the slug/snail walk this morning, all that I found in the front garden went into the road,hoping they will get crushed. The back garden lot went in the green BIN. recycle the B things. Good aren't I !!!!

Put the dahlias in this morning first thing, will have to give them a good drink. Very wet and humid. I came in from the garden, sweating like a pig. The shower beckons so that my next job ;-) ;-) ;-)

Ros has gone of to the scout hut for the day. working on this patchwork project for the chapel. Keeps her from getting under my feet, No T.V. today unless I watch the Olympics.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Mandy. Colds this time of year seem to drag on, don't they ??

Had Ham and Eggs for breakfast this morning.The last lot of Eggs from Tesc# seem to have very runny whites, is that a sign of them being OLD ??? When you break one into the pan, it spreads all over the pan.

You beat me to it Ann, I was going to suggest the special paint to Jane too, I think there might be one you coat the tiles with and then you can use normal paint, that would probably give you a better colour choice.

Your fingers must be a lot greener than mine, I have two very small, the size of olives, tomatoes so far, that's it.

You should have a look on e.bay Ann for the cardigan, they have things on there you can't get in the shops, I looked for ages in the shops for a jacket for the wedding but nothing seemed right, I got a really nice one on e.bay at a quarter of the price too.

Sandals!! what about the walking boots you had last year ,will you need to dig them out :-D

Hi all,

First of all, to Frank, I confess I didn't read all your emails :-( By the time I had got back into my emails there were nearly 200 waiting to be read (or junk deleted!) So I put my hand up on having to delete several of them as I just hadn't got chance to view them all.

My computer saga has me agao, to say the least. My old faithful of 6 years crashed and although I was able to reload Windows, it was an old Explorer version that wouldn't support my internet ISP. Anyway, I wanted a new faster all singing and dancing PC, I thought I'd earned it. My den had had a makeover, new carpet, new desk, new decoration, what better than a new PC to top that. Aldi had their new Medion Akoya in so I thought I'd have some of that, my old machine is a Medion from Aldi & had served me well.
I went to set up the new PC thinkinbg it would just load everything ready for me to get to work. Not so. A black DOS screen annoumced that no bootable partioned had been found. Several prods pokes biffs etc got me no joy. I packed it all back up & took it back to our Aldi store and got a replacement, thinking I'd had a 'MONDAY' machine. Got the new one home and exactly the same. I phoned their helpline and they didn't know what the problem was. About tirn, and a refund from Aldi. Meantime, I am using a laptop that I am a custodian of for our local Carers group.

Anyway that's my latest tale of misery. Now I've got my security ware doing a check up of everything so I don't get any gremlins in this one.

OK, so I'm now going to get the washing in and hopefully they local pigeons haven't pooped on it !!!

I have made the decision on the tiles.We will go with the first ones I chose .Ann the grey one that Chris and James weren't keen on was exactly like yours.I actually bough a whole box of the first ones so we can lay them out and get a really good idea of what they will look like.I will take a pic later when I put them all down again for Chris to see.If this Plumber doesn't turn up tomorrow I don't know what I will do :-S :-S But I think he will.

Lots of Flying Ants have emerged from the patio and Lawn this afternoon.I had to come in for a while until they all flew off.I always think it's funny that they all come out one group after another.Horrible things :-S
All the pots and baskets and Tomato plants were having a major wilt so I have just given them all a big soaking.Chris will to the bottom of the garden and Greenhouses later.
James and Jess are out for their meal later.Jess has just gone to glam up :-D
I'm quite pleased they are going out as it'll be just nice with Chris and me as long as he doesn't come home in a winding me up attitude lol.
He sent me a tongue in cheek email earlier saying "Is your day improving dearest"
I think he was testing the water lol eg is it safe to come home :-D
My lounge is looking like Steptoe's Yard,and I can't find a blooming thing.

Frank I couldn't find the Netball thing on google.I was brilliant at Netball in Senior school.I was goal shooter even though I was so short.I loved it.I think because I was little I could duck under the waving arms of the person trying to stop me Shooting a goal.I seem to remember Ann saying she was Shooter as well.Am I right Ann?

Maureen ,your Patio looks brilliant :-D....I remember many years ago helping my Dad do our Crazy Paving patio.I would love to know if it was still there .Probably not as it was about 46 years ago.God that sounds scary lol as it just seems like yesterday.

HELLO THERE its been beautiful today here

i am looking forward to my holiday my friend Brandy just arrived back from Ireland on the ferry to Hollyhead and she said it was lovely and calm the sea and there was caberet a cinema and bar and lots of iris musicians playing so hopefully the same for me. I am looking forward to it. it takes about four hours and then we get our coach to Dublin the hotel is very good we paid a lot for this holiday.

I treated myself to a pair of fairly high wedge shoes in deep red patent from a well known store and bought several nice clothes. The first I have had for ages.Lots of saving up. My coller was to give a little support to my neck after I was in so much pain recently and my neck is so much better.

Jane i hope you enjoy your holiday I went to Northumberland years ago when the children were small. So many lovely castles to see.

Well I am going now to ring Beryl the Peril who did not like a bird deposited in her bag at all and is giving me a hard time I do not know why it was not me who put the bird in her bag but thats me everybodys punch bag .

I still have not got my teeth another impression needed I was not happy on the phone have to go tomorrow again for a glooping session have made a strong complaint I do not know if I will get them for my holiday.See what I mean about bad luck and its not anything to do with me.Miss the NHS is only three teeth so whats the problem with that
lab that makes them the dentist a lovely lad said it was a perfect impression.

Next week I am getting my hair done really curly after moaning about perms in the past
but the last perm did not stay nice very long my hair is so strong.

Nice to hear from you William......you have been busy!!! I hope you manage to get fixed up with a pc that works properly......I had my heart in my mouth when I set this one up and it is 4 years old now so I hope it doesn't croak it.

The day started well with £25 from ERNIE and the in laws enjoyed their treat of a meal out today and FIL seems a lot brighter since the doc told him exercise was good for him to do to improve his back. He has started back doing a few of his RAF exercises in the mornings again. :-)

Then I drove to the other side of the city to go and look at Mat*lan, parked the car and glanced down as I got out......flat as a pancake tyre!! :-| I decided to nip in the shop first, then there was nothing for it but to get the tyre pump out of the boot and try and get enough air in it to get me home and to the tyre place. I started treading the thing up and down while 3-4 chaps walked by and was about to get a hernia or serious oxygen deficit when a voice called out would I like some help blowing the tyre up. Would I.......oh yes please and a young man downed his backpack and took over. :-D He asked me how many people had walked by without offering help. He was nicely spoken and dressed and said he had had a drug problem in the past but had been clean from heroin for 3 and a half years after 14 years addiction and said he always tried to help people when he could now. He said he helped a lady in a wheelchair once and she had told her people would swear at her for being in the way. I was quite moved by his attitude and told him he had done the best thing he ever could in getting clean and back into work and wished him all the best for the future. With just enough 'air' in the tyre I set off for home and the tyre place in the rush hour traffic and got there 5 minutes before they closed!! They know me there and quickly sorted me out, but the tyre had shredded inside so I had to have a new one. They charged me the same as last time as the chap didn't have time to do a quote (£74!!!!......MORE EXPENSE and goodbye ERNIE win!!!) lol

Hope your plumber arrives and is on time tomorrow Jane.
