Oh right Mel, It should do the trick by tomorrow morning,if not, I soak some cotton wool in the 'C' and apply it to the affected spot. (my dentist's suggestion) and that certainly gives relief. Do hope it clears up soon, nothing worse than painful teeth/gums.

Hi all,
Had a good time at the festival, not seen so many people in the village. The police put no parking signs everywhere, The local farmer opened up two fields as car parks. They were packed.
We tried to walk down the tow path, but with so ma ny pushchairs and people we couldn't move ,so turned back. Will try again tomorrow, when there may be less people.
I see the thread has been busy as usual, will catch up tomorrow.

Morning /Evening All
Glad it was a great day yesterday Frank.Hopefully it will be just as good today :-D The sun is coming out now and it is another nice day.Looks like we will stay dry all day.I just hope London is dry this evening for the closing ceremony. Chester not looking too lively so I think Chris will just take him around the back field.
I am off for my shower and hairwash now,and then I will look at the ironing pile :-S
Mel I hope your Gum is easier this morning and that you slept well after the Whisky.
Kim I hope Miranda came home in a reasonable state after her evening out. Pat will almost be at the end of her holiday now.I bet little Mocha has missed her.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Not a bad morning here after yesterdays thunder and lightening. I went to bed at 11.30pm last night and thats early for me. Slept till just before 7am and got up for a wee and went back to bed. Woke at just before 10am!! so I had a really good sleep. Not much pressure on the front tooth this morning but still a lump at the front of the roof of my mouth. Teeth have closed up a bit too and don't feel quite so weird. I think the whisky did the trick and I only had a small one but kept swilling it around the area well before swollowing it.

That's good then Mel.It sounds like it going down now.You just to be careful now not to bite on anything too hard for a while.
Mandy are you just having a chilled day today then? It feels very warm and sticky now, plus dusty as they are harvesting the Oil Seed Rape in the field across the road.I have had to shut the windows in the front.I'm still looking at the ironing pile :-S Chris asked just now where all his shirts are!I think that was supposed to be a big hint lol
It seemed a lot of men in the Marathon were having problems with exhaustion just now, flopping and wobbling all over the place at the end. I was very disappointed last night not to actually see Tom Daley receive his Bronze Medal.I waited up for it :-S Looking forward to this evenings show and seeing all the Athletes together again. Well done Great Britain I say for hosting a spectacular Olympics.I know it has cost us an obscene amount of money, but as long as the different venues etc are used properly after it has all finished and that the government stops selling off all the playing fields and encourages youngsters to get involved in sport then I will be pleased.I remember when I went to Canada it seemed that every young person would be involved in some type of sport.I felt it really put our country to shame.
I think that is enough political speak from me now lol I hope everyone is having a good day :-D

Mandy ,there's nothing wrong with being a little lazy on a Sunday Afternoon......was that a title of the Kinks record "Lazing on a Sunday afternoon'?? I have been just the same.Jess and I have been sat out having long chats about this that and the other. She said it is nice that she never sees me and Chris argue!!!! Bless her .I did put her right and said we do have our moments but they are not loud shouty arguments.I think her Mum and step dad have humdingers :-S
Now I love my little Robins. But one of them has just pooped in my wash basket and on one of Jame's tops.I have rinsed the top and Chris is just hosing out the basket lol Dirty Birdies :-S

Jane it is actually Sunny Afternoon by the Kinks from 1969 the year my son was born.
The tax man's taken all my dough, And left me in my stately home, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. And I can't sail my yacht, He's taken everything I've got, All I've gots this sunny afternoon.
Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze. I got a big fat mama trying to break me. And I love to live so pleasantly, Live this life of luxury, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. In the summertime In the summertime In the summertime
My girlfriends run off with my car, And gone back to her ma and pa, Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty. Now I'm sitting here, Sipping at my ice cold beer, Lazing on a sunny afternoon.
Help me, help me, help me sail away, Well give me two good reasons why I ought'a stay. cause I love to live so pleasantly, Live this life of luxury, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. In the summertime In the summertime In the summertime
Ah, save me, save me, save me from this squeeze. I got a big fat mama trying to break me. And I love to live so pleasantly, Live this life of luxury, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. In the summertime In the summertime In the summertime
I did laugh about the robin popping in your linen basket. Thats the kind of thing that usually happens to me, or they aim for things hanging on the line!! :-|

Oh I love the Kinks, think I have that on an LP somewhere. I think we've all found we've been singing the wrong words to a song for years at some time Jane!
Mel, it looks like your tooth is getting better, fingers crossed. Maybe another dram tonight to make sure? I have to be in bed by 9.30pm most nights, then as soon as I'm there I can't sleep for ages even though I'm tired. :-S Mind you today I feel exhausted and only managed a bit of watering outside. Perhaps it's this stuffy heat we have here today, but I think it may be the hay fever tablets making me drowsy. My bites are like red blistery 5 pences now, very raised and hot and they itch like mad. Every time OH drops his hand on my shoulder he gets told off as I've plastered them in bite cream too and don't want it sticking to my top. :-S I think it will be an early night for me, so I may be watching the Spice Girls in bed.
Frank, it sounds like the Festival is a big success.........I was wondering where people would park.
I will send you the pic Shirl.......and try the vinegar treatment!!!!

Ann it sounds like you are really allergic to those bites for them to be as big as that :-S I remember you having something similar (maybe last year)? My Niece has had to hospitalised with bites when was on holiday abroad .She always gets a terrible reaction and ends up with Intravenous antibiotics :-S :-S
I am desperately trying to keep myself awake for the closing ceremony ,plus really hoping to see some shooting stars later. But I think we are going to have too much cloud to see anything.James is working in the summerhouse ,so I have said to Jess if she hears little snores coming from the settee ,to wake me up.Mind you it may also be Chester snoring too lol.Not that he will be interested in the ceremony or shooting stars :-S
