Well I have been clearing all the tops and things again for the Plumbers,but I just found out it is Wednesday they come and not tomorrow.That's fine by me as I can do a bit more washing tomorrow and clear the decks properly.
The drying machine is coming on Friday,but I think I might see if they can change it until saturday now just in case the plumbers don't finish on Thursday.

I have just put the fan on here as I have worked up a bit of a sweat :-S.Also been cooking dinner.It is still nice here .We just had one little shower earlier.But when James was on the A14 coming back from the Woodlands Hosp he said the heavens opened.He had to see a consultant about a wisdom tooth and will have to have it out under General Anaesthetic :-S.His last one was done with a local.So it will be between 5 to 8 weeks.

I took a pill last night and had a great sleep.Just woke once at 3 then went off again.I woke much more refreshed this morning :-D.Frank I hope you have a better one too tonight.

I did enjoy the Athletics .But the eyes get drawn to a certain part of the men's anatomy ;-)There is an awful lot of movement going on .Now. Ladies wear sports bras to prevent that happening.Maybe the men could find an equvilant .Mind you that would take some of the fun away for some of us ;-) ;-)

It's been a lovely day here ,no rain so far ,black clouds about though.

I am all stuffed up with this cold today , i feel really tired too, i'am sure i i close my eyes i'll be away !! then i won't sleep tonight .

Well i must say Jane, the eye does get drawn down there :-D :-D i always think it must really hurt to get them bumped about like that with no padding :-D :-D

I need to and clear up the lawn .Chester has done a few Poops .Chris wouldn't be impressed to see I haven't picked up lol.
My Sister has been to see her consultant (knee).,and he is pleased now with the way it is going.Slowly but surely :-D.He did say it may very well be another 12/18 months before it will be as good as it is going to be.

Oh Gawd Chris is home .I'll dash off quickly with the poop bags :-S

Chris came home in a real grumpy mood :-S :-S Trouble at Mill ,me thinks :-S Told him not to have a go at me and to just bo* off for a while to chill :-D.He has gone :-D
He hates all this disruption too in the house,but like I said he will have to put up with it for weeks and weeks ...and get used to it.I just say how it is.I can see the next few weeks though being a bit stressful.And Fiona has been putting up with major disruptions for a long time now !!....I am ready to go on holiday!!!!!!..just a few weeks :-D

I did a lot of ironing this morning then oh wanted lunch so did that. Cleaned all three chicken houses out this afternoon and another lot of washing of sheets. Only ours to do now. I did'nt go shopping as I had this eye so I shall have to go tomorrow and if it is still reddy bluey black I shall have to put some makeup on it. It is only from the corner of the eye to about half way across and in a wrinkle :-S :-S

Got blimmin indigestion late afternoon and then cooked spag bol for dinner. Did'nt do the garlic bread as I thought that would be too much. Only put a small amount in the spag bol too.

Did I tell you I found the missing bantam yesterday. she was sitting on 13 eggs.

I think I am repeating myself, now I know I am getting old.......

Dull and miserable here today so I think it will be shopping day. It's not raining at the mo but the clouds are very grey.

SNAP Mel. We had rain in the night, but everywhere is overcast and damp. Getting better by Friday they say.

No one around yet I see apart from Auntie Mel.

Another bad night slleept till 4.30 am and just layed till 7.00 am Had three cups of tea. Will get something to eat and take my tablets later

Ros is off to town with Carolyn. She's having her feet done, then shopping, will see her when I see her, about 3/4 pm, Nice quiet day No T.V. I can read a doze to my heats content.

Had a surprise visit this morning. Conrad had just dropped Jan off at Luton Airport (she has gone to see Julia and Lewis in France) He stayed and had coffee, and watched a bit of the Olympics. Now on my Lonesome. !!!!

Yes Jane I can catch up during the day, but then I won't sleep tonight. Catch 22.

Just finished a marathon iron, nearly six hours, I'm sure people pull everything out of their wardrobes just because I won't be here next week. A bit of extra cash will come in handy though, will be able to treat them to a meal.

Patio is finished, have filled in between the slabs now, it just needs tittivating (think that was one of Frankie Howerd's words) around the area where I've trampled on plants. Then I can get my garden table up. Will take some photos, might have some before ones somewhere, so I can do a before and after.

Hope the eye isn't too sore Mel, that must have been some rub. :-0

Maureen I bet you are right about people getting you to do extra ironing lol......Fitz makes me laugh as he takes his shirts to a lady for ironing(his wife doesn't know !!!)He is naughty :-S
I have accumulated another pile as all washing is now out of the garage.Just the last lot in the dryer and one lot on the line.I won't be able to use the garage for the next couple of days.
Does anyone know if tiles on my kitchen walls can be altered colour wise instead of having new ones .?I think I have decided on grey anti slip tiles for the floor.Light grey.I'm not sure how much I am expected to spend as it is like for like and as the tiles already here are over 20 years old I haven't a clue :-S.I think these are £4.34 per tile and they are just about 12" square.I must get Chris to measure up properly for me.
I can feel me getting a bit het up now lol.At least the weather is looking better for the next few days so I can be out in the garden.When the jack hammering happens I will get James and Jess to take Chester out for a while as I don't think my neighbour can have him.

Pork Steaks tonight with our own carrots and peas.Potatoes are those in a microwave bag with a Mustard and honey dressing.I think they are new at Tes**
Tomorrow may very well have to be Takeaway.James and Jess are going out for a meal tomorrow evening.They were going tonight but when I explained the upheaval in the kitchen tomorrow they realised they would be better going out then.

Thanks for the emails Frank, those photos are fantastic. I tried the google game and knocked everything flat the first time too!! :-D Then it got addictive and I eventually knocked them all down but still only 2 stars. I think you musty have to go like a bat out of hell with your fingers to get 3 stars. Anyway I had to stop before I got RSI. lol.

Well done with your patio Maureen! I don't know how you have managed to do all your ironing after doing the patio, but I bet you are really glad it is done now. Jane, naughty Fitz getting a lady to do his shirts. :-0 OH does that job thank goodness, but I have to finish off some of my awkward tops at times. He is brill at shirts though and to think once he thought he would never be able to do ironing!!!

We have about a third of the weed control fabric down now and have started putting the gravel back on it. A major hold up though.......it needs riddling and washing first as it is full of dirt!! We went and bought an old fashioned metal riddle this morning which is just the right size for swishing around in a humper full of water, so OH says he feels like he is panning for gold now!! lol. We both got soaked doing it this morning as it started to rain, but we stuck at it and then jumped in the shower after. OH has gone to a match now and I think I am going to go to the big M*S which is only 3/4 mile down the main road......if my legs still work. :-S

Found a tiny 1/2 inch runner bean today but a lot of the flowers are on the ground. The cucumber plant has suddenly flopped too after doing really well. I wondered if something had got at its roots as there is no sign of pests on the foliage.....any ideas anyone?

Well, I'd better get going.......looking for a new top to go out to lunch with the in laws tomorrow.

Jane you can get special paint for tiles if you look in places like B*Q. I have never used it, but imagine it is better than ordinary paint. I will send you a pic of my light grey tiles on my kitchen floor when I get back. It might help give you some idea what they will look like. :-D

Ann,my beans are about the same size .I keep measuring them against my thumb nail
Lots of flowers and touch wood they are not dropping off.Looking very healthy at the moment.The carrots seem to have little holes in where something had been burrowing.But I just chop those little bits out.
Good luck with finding a new top.

PS Chris doesn't like the sample tile!!!!!!!.My answer was well go and choose yourself :-D :-D.........MEN!
