Jane I am so sorry about what happened to you yesterday. You were so looking forward to their visit and seeing Ethan again. I would have thought by now they had sorted their problems out as there is another child on the way. What did she think she was doing speaking to you like that. I hope you do hear from her with a big apology!! :-| :-|

Don't worry about sounding off on here either as thats what our thread is all abaout now. Supporting each other with our problems. It is so nice to know that someone is listening to you.

Well another scorcher today here and I have to go to market this afternoon to get some bits and pieces.

The bad news is the new puddle is still leaking so it may be made into a bog garden!!!!

Frank you did make me laugh about tomorow for the windows!!

I looked at mine yesterday and thought I must clean those tomorrow. You don't notice things when the sun is not shining that you do when it does. With all the rain and wind we have had my windows outside are filthy and it is a wonder I can see anything out of them at all. Think I may go and do them now as tomorrow never comes.

Just been out in the garden feeding my tiny fish in the corner of the pond and oh looked in the new puddle and there was a baby lizzard inthere. He got it out on his finger and I took a pic of it. Just going to download it and if it is any good will send.

Have sent one and a pic of my tiny fish I kept in the tank over the winter which were the first fish in my new pond. They have really grown since they went in there.

Another scorcher today, got up early and did a few jobs while it was cooler ,i keep looking at the ironing pile but that will have to wait ,it's far too hot to do it now ,got the fan on and Toby is cooling off ,he's still giving me the eye after his bath yesterday LOL

Jane, glad to hear that you had a good nights sleep after all the upset of yesterday .

Oh what a bu**er about the leak Mel, still a bog garden will be nice .

We still haven't patched up the spa ,lovely hot day and we could have been sitting in the bubbles !!

Hello Jane, was shocked to read the goings on. I'm so sorry you were treated in that way. Rachel should be ashamed of herself for her hurtful comments to you and all the kindness you have shown them as a family. Hugs from me. I think Chris is right - too much sun for her and she needs help. I hate the stress too of family upsets and that poor little boy. He must be so confused at all the ranting. Glad to hear that the plumbers are coming to fix your leaks. I wish you a peaceful day too. xx

We had some news about Joy. She actually has had a stroke and although the hospital did brain scans THEY DIDN'T CHECK THEM!! She has brain damage on the right side. These hospitals are useless over here unless they are in the private system. So now we know why she has been falling. It hasn't affected her speech, but her body must be in shock. This news has only just reached the local doctor. Unbelievable.

Miranda's friend poor Jacob (not the ex) jumped from a city building and has only been identified today by his young brother. The police wouldn't take it seriously at first, but people were screaming out that he had left suicide notes. He was very talented and had so much ahead of him. It is incredibly sad and maybe a warning for the authorities to take all such incidences on their merit. Daughter has not shed a tear yet, but I feel it will hit her soon. I feel so cold inside and just sad for his parents and friends. Just no rhyme or reason for these young deaths.

My gosh but your weather is warm. I remember my mother used to do the housework in her petticoat and underwear. My father used to laugh his head off, but I think she was going through menopause too so probably some hot flushes happening as well.

Our little foxies used to shake themselves everywhere after a bath and you could see all the little spots on their bellies. They did smell good, but used to race around the yard rolling in dirt and whatever else.

Mel thanks for your photos, they have just come through. He is a tiny little fellow and your fish look so healthy.

That is terrible Kim , fancy the hospital doing the scan if they don't check them, no wonder poor Joy was falling about !!
And that poor boy having to identify his brothers body .

No we haven't sorted out the spa yet ,i think hubby is going to try sticking a patch on tonight , and we have decided to put the pool up !! so fingers crossed there's no punctures in that !!!

I have been in the shed pulling it all out ,boy am i hot !!!

Kim, I keep thinking of that young boy, what a tragic story. I hope your daughter comes through is allright. It can affect people in different ways.

Tonight we are having a Salmon salad with cold new potatos (I JUST REMEMBERED I HAD GOT THEM ON) not boiled dry PHEW. !!!

Will have to water everywhere tonight, it's so dry.

The BLOOD# CAT has found a spot where I haven't put the holly and orange peel, flowers up and dirt over the lawn. THE TIME HAS COME TO ACT. !!!!

No contact Frank.It won't be the end of the relationship .I know how she blows up and then comes down again .But this is the first time we have come to blows.So where she is now ,who knows.But I will not be chasing her.I have done enough for her over the years the same as I did for her Mum before she died.It will be alright in the end I'm sure.Her OH is fine without that Credit Card.He has others.I don't know where he is either now lol

Kim .Poor Joy :-( that is appalling that it was not picked up she had had a stroke!!!!!!!!
And how sad for the brother of the young lad to have to identify him :-( :-(.It gave me the shivers reading that.

Lots of Thunder flies around this afternoon.Little blighters .So tiny but don't have make you itch :-S.It is actually feeling sticky now in this heat.Like Frank it is too hot for outside.I have thebig fan blowing on my back and Chester is stretched out on the floor in front of the floor fan.James has just got up and is now flat out on the settee catching the breeze from the floor fan too.

Mandy it must be a shed day.Fitz had turned his out too and everything is now in it's place .I was most impressed.I went down for a hour this afternoon.They have most comfortable reclining garden chairs.I could have quite easily nodded off.His Mother is now in a rehab unit in Corby and is starting to be mobilized.

Mel thanks for your latest Lizard and Fish pics.Not sure I would have fancied holding the Lizard :-SThe sun has now gone in and the cloud is taking hold.It has suddenly become very muggy.I think an uncomfortable night is in store :-S

I've now turned the fan off for a while , as yesterday i had a terrible headache and i wondered if it was the fan !! i did sit in front of it for quite a while :-S

Salad again tonight with new pots and some thing or other ,i haven't decided what yet !!

Ho so hot today cooked in the garden still we should not moan after all that rain.

When you think last week we had temperatures of 16 /17 and all of a sudden we are more than plus 10 degrees higher :-0.It's a shock to the system :-S

Our first tomato is almost ready :-D :-D.Two days of sun and suddenly they are now changing colour.I picked two cougettes.One normal one and one Ball shaped one.So they will be part of dinner tonight.

Mat is thirteen months old I have a photo somewhere will fish it out.

Sherman went off to a college he was very bad at maths and his rich daddy sent him for private coaching.

April is sweet Jane she seems to have settled but always in trouble.
it seems according to Jess today she went off without her packed lunch
and wearing trainers but her left foot was different from the right.
Jess tried to stop the bright yellow bus that takes her to school but the driver would not stop I think she wore her pumps at school.
Ryan said April is knitting me winter socks one is a mile long he said how about casting that sock off and she said Oh silly billy Ryan i have lost the pattern you will have to have it If I find it. Ryan said well why have you kept knitting she said I get defrustrated doing nothing.

I said today to her what are you having for tea and she said Pot roast
i said lovely and she said not really i took the lid off while mummy was out at the store and the cat ate some. So have put the lid back and will not tell mummy. Then she added Ryan had a big plate earlier.

I did not answer my head goes weird when April is on the phone.
She gets really degregated if I say anything or something like that.
poor Jess I bet she put her heart into that dinner for Ryan

O just answered the phone and it was my nephews friend saying they had arrived in London he said who was the old bird in the Union Jack
I thought Queen Victoria had returned as a ghost. I am still shaking as those big bright lips loomed towards me. i said oh take no notice Beryl is like that. he said well I have something to confess I found a dead bird by one of your trees and popped in that vanity case she bought.

oh my goodness I am not ringing her but cannot wait to see what she did when she opened her vanity box she hates things like that. Going to read more threads .Jane hope you feel better chuck your such a nice person

Evening All,

How HOT it has been. We were out in the garden by 7.30am again. I did more planting and some tidying of other plants while OH started clearing some of the paths of piles of soil,rocks , bricks, slates and rubble. Then I watered lots of things. We had several 'breaks' sitting in the arbour with ice cold drinks! :-D Then I was struck down with HAYFEVER.....streaming scratchy eyes and nose to match! I realised it must be the field over the fence as it has turned into a hay meadow with all the rain......cows can't eat it fast enough. I said to OH that I wouldn't be able to see my carvery let alone read the paper! Anyway I took a tablet and went and showered to get rid of any pollen and by the time I'd done the streaming had stopped and I just had bloodshot swollen eyes!! lol. After lunch we did some shopping and have lazed about since. OH did some weedkilling and has gone to a shareholders meeting at his local footie club.

Jane, glad you didn't have a restless night after yesterday's 'todo'. I bet she will be wishing she could wind the clock back now. I hope she ttries to 'mend' things with you soon. I bet Fitz is really enjoying his new freedom while his mum is recouping.

Sheila I would love to see the look on Bery's face when she finds that 'surprise'. I bet she will get called Ginger Spice in that dress!!

Kim, what a shame about that poor boy and his family and how awful that his younger brother had to identify him. You would have thought someone older would have volunteered to do that. Fancy them not reading Joy's scans......dreadful. They obviously couldn't have given her the correct treatment for a stroke could they.

Frank I can just picture you in the garden last night with the OLD BATS for company!! lol. Only kidding, I like to sit out on a hot night and watch them too. It sounds like you need to have Lewis's water gun at the ready for those cats! I have put them off for a while by watering with a weak solution of J*yes Fluid......they don't like the smell of that. It is so annoying when you plant all up to have them scratch everything up again. We said PERHAPS TOMORROW about putting the rotary spike in.........I didn't fancy a weary OH wielding the sledge hammer at it while I was holding it! :-0

I wish I had the courage to do a round the world trip.......as Pat says, you must have so many memories from it.

Mel, your home reared fish are much bigger than I expected and look really well too. It is a pity about the leak.......if it is a fibreglass pond could you try a car fibreglass repair kit?

Mandy, sheds are BOILING hot this weather.....you did well to get it cleared out with it so hot. No wonder Toby is keeping an eye on you! lol........he hasn't forgotten 'the bath' yet has he! :-S

Well it's early to bed for me if I want to be 'early to rise'. It seems a lot cooler now so I will have a potter around the garden first.

It is nice and cool outside now but so hot in the kitchen. Oh has gone to bed and I shut the chickens in about 10pm. Just caught up with your threads.

Ann you have been busy today. Hope you have a good nights sleep and are ready for the fray tomorrow. We are waiting for some new pics of the new garden.....................................

I have been up since 5.30 .I was wide awake so came down and have been reading and watching the crime channel.It is cloudy at the moment but I have opened up all the doors and windows.It felt so stuffy.

Ann your pots look so pretty.I love the colour.

When James gets home from work I am going to nip to Tesc* and see if they still have those Relaxing Chairs that Fitz has.I really want one now :-D.
Chris has this morning off so I'm hoping he will sleep for a while yet.I think he needs it.
I think I will have another cuppa now and my Banana.
