Mel Fairy Godmother Report 2 Aug 2012 09:29

White rabbits.

A pinch and a punch for the first of the month and all that.

Was whisked off yesterday with all the girls to the garden centre for lunch and a good look round without any men to worry about. Then we went to a patchwork exhibition just outside Launceston. It was only 5 mins from the gaden centre but down a farm track to a lots of stone built barns but some lovely little outlets there. ONe lady did felt things, you know like they make the felt with the pin bashing thing. She had all sorts there, angels dogs sheep flowers in brouches and hairslide and much more. The quilting was fan tabulous and one had the fairies at the bottoms of the garden on it. Heather and I fell in love with that one which was up for sale.... but the work in it was really beautifull, £450. I don't think they really wanted to sell it. There was some great cushions but so much just on display. They also had a cafe there but we were just too late for that.

Nice morning today with quite a bit of sun and I think it may be Boscastle today.

Hope all are well as I hav'nt read your threads yet. Not had time ..........

I have to get off the pooter in a min as one of the sisters, daughter is in Australia , Victoria, at the moment and she wants to ring her on the ipad.

Nice day here so far. We only had a couple of showers yesterday and have been quite lucky with the weather whilst out. Perhaps a litle rain at night and then a cloudy morning which then clears away or is just dry.

So glad to find the problem with our Fiona. Hope she is soon on the mend and am sending love

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3

When I tried to get on here quickly yesterday morning I think it was I got the Site under maintance sign so gave up.

Not sure I like this new layout and colour as I am finding it tiring to read. I much prefered the soft green backing and writing.

Morning/Evening all,

Out spoending again mel, you are getting as bad a Pat. You will have to start leaving your ourse at home.
I agree with you about the layout, not good for my eyes.!!!!

Ros has gone to have her ROOTS done this morning, so I will have a new woman
:-D :-D :-D :

Can't wait for the mothballs to turn up, I think I will stuff them up the cats ar#e, perhaps that will keep them away.

I ordered a T bar Clamp from eBay last week. 900mm it turned up today 600mm. What's up with these people. Have sent them a curt note :-( :-( :-(

Ros has a line of sheets on the line, and the weather doesn't look good, will have to keep my eye on it.

Morning everyone,

Very bright here this morning the sun keeps trying to break through the cloud.

Family here later for tea , i'am doing the Beef Cobbler again ,just cooked the beef and prepared all the veg, will do the topping later .

Mel, hope you have another good day out , that Quilt sounds beautiful, it sounds a lot of money but when you think of all the work that goes into them its not really.

I had to smile at your posting Frank , when reading it quickly i thought you had told Pat to leave her a*se at home LOL :-D :-D :-D i had to read it again :-D

Is it my eyes ? or have they changed the back ground colour slightly , it still seems bright though .

Maureen Report 2 Aug 2012 13:56

I've had trouble on here too, couldn't go my usual route, why change things for the sake of it, can't see that it has improved anything.

Nice for you to have a bit of girlie company Mel, enjoy your day out today.

Not sure what to do with Coco one of my cats, the one that poos under the front window, just caught her pe**ing on the kitchen floor, thought maybe she'd had a fright out the back and didn't want to go out there but she is quite happy going in and out so don't know why she has started doing this or how I'm going to stop her. I remember my mum years ago when the cat pooed in the house she rubbed the cat's nose in it, think it worked. but seems a bit cruel.

The car is in for a service so will go and pick it up soon, no nasty big bill to find, I pay it monthly on a Customer Service Plan, which gives me 10 per cent off parts too.

That meat was very cheap Mandy well worth getting, no good for me though, I hardly ever eat meat.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Aug 2012 16:56

It is absolutely chucking it down here :-S Good job I managed to get the washing in :-D
Maureen ,how old is Coco? It could be she has an wee infection/cystitis.Or a kidney problem. If she hasn't done it before it sounds like she might need a little trip to the VET :-S.

Mel ,you are a day late with your Pinch Punch lol it is the 2nd today.I hope you have had a good day today.

I had a lovely time with my friend Gill this morning .We sat in her garden with our coffee watching all the birds being busy .She has a little string of Union Jacks up above her front door (for the Olympics).I thought they looked fine. But apparently her neighbour said it made the place look like a council estate!.......How rude is that :-S :-S.They are right at the end of a Cul-de-sac next to a small wood so surrounded by lots of big trees.I didn't see the bunting until I was almost outside her house.
Oh no !!! it is thundering now.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Aug 2012 18:19

Amazing! After all that rain and thunder we have an almost clear blue sky.It looks like a lovely summers evening now lol

Have we heard from Shirl lately?and William?I know it is easy to miss posts but I just don't think I have seen them for a while.

Frank Report 2 Aug 2012 19:01

Don't talk to me about the B ##### rain Jane,

I heard rain on the conservatory roof/windows. I ran out to get the "whites" in including a load of my pants. All pegged seprately on the line. by the time I got it all in, I was soaked and the washing damp. I put it (the washing) on the airer in the conservatory, and the sun dried it off, I had to go and change. Then out came the sun, so I enptyed the washing machine of colours and put them out. Ten minutes later the heavens opened and it all started again !!!!
Now in a pair of shorts and bear chester. It's turned very muggy.

Had Pork slices, Jacket Potato and B/Beans. for tea. The worst pork slices ever. Tough as old boots and no flavour whatsoever. Will have words with Morriso#s butchers next time i'm in store. Ros won't like that. ;-) ;-) ;-)

Hope you all had a good day today

. Don't know what to surgest about the cat Maureen, but if it continues, it will stick the house out. Can you shut off the cat flap when it's out ??? Leave it out for a few hours, so it can do it's thing

Evening All,

Think I overdid it a bit in the garden yesterday......legs and back were a bit sore, hot and achey.....was 1.00am this morning before they felt comfortable. OH was the same. I didn't do as much today, but OH, bless him, has fetched all the weeds and moss out of the block paving on the front. He had just got one leg in the bath at teatime when I asked him to reach a jar of gerkins in the kitchen for me!! lol. Then I couldn't open it, so had to take it to him to open (by now in the bath!!) They nearly ended up in the bath with him!! :-D

I was meeting up with friends tomorrow for brekkie at the garden centre, but one has to move her horse that was ill recently to new stables this weekend and needs to find some rubber matting for his stable pretty quick so we've put it off for a couple of weeks..

Mandy, that was a bargain you got with the meat. I think it is a good idea to have a spare freezer anyway in case one goes wrong. Always handy for bargains too like you say.

Love the pic of Oscar on 'his' chair Maureen! lol. Something seems to be the matter with Coco doesn't it.....maybe an infection? That's a good idea to pay for your car servicing like that, spreads the cost.

Jane, isn't it your friend Gill that had the Cocker spaniel puppy? Your burglar alarm man sounds like our electrician. I'm dreading calling him in to connect the waterfall up. OH will disappear and it will be me that is like a nodding dog!! lol.

Frank, I will keep you posted on the Festival nearer the time!! ;-) ;-)

Mel, it sounds like you are having a good time this week and the rain is holding off too. OH and I have had happy times at Boscastle, stayed in the Wellington there and remember when you got in bed it moved a couple of feet away from the wall as the old floors sloped so much. It didn't matter whether you ran and jumped in or carefully slid under the covers, it would move! One of the makeover programmes on the telly did the dining room up after those awful floods they had.

Yes, how are Shirl and William?

Jane

Jane Report 2 Aug 2012 19:37

Nothing worse than tough Pork is there Frank :-S Makes your jaw ache for one thing and it gets stuck in your teeth.
I hope your pants dry off .No good wearing damp pants. You don't want any chaffing(sp) in the delicate areas ;-)

I have spotted some runner beans today ,just about the length of my finger nail. All the plants are now at the top of the canes and all looking very healthy. :-D.More flowers seem to be coming .I can't wait until I can pick them.
Dinner ready now ,so must go and dish up.

Jane

Jane Report 2 Aug 2012 22:24

Anne .Fancy you remembering that.Yes it is Gill with the Cocker.Jetta.She is an absolute darling and a right little pudding lol.Such a gentle and sweet natured dog.She is 3 now!!!!
I have to go to bed now.I can't stay awake another minute.
Night Night x
