Well overcast here, Went to go and water the greenhouse ande thew heavens opened, only for a few minutes, but I got wet. It's very cloudy here and I expect we will be house bound within the hour. !!!!

I was reading the paper yesterday about that MP who said the opening of the olympics was too left wing. Why don't her get a life. and stop complaining about our COUNTRY. He can allways SOD OFF to another Country.
I went to the pub yesterday lunchtime, and someone told me the channel Nos on SK# that the BBC has for olympic coverage. For the life of me I can't remember. ANYBODY KNOW ???? therre are about 10 stations. I think dementia is setting in :-D :-D :-D

With Julia and Lewis in France, Harvey is coming for lunch (if you can call it that) He can only eat Meat(NOT PORK), Potato, peas and carrots. all other veg play his stomach up. What with him and Conrad, I don't know what we have done, bringing them up.. Both are now under the Hospital for tummy trouble.!!!! We won't eat till late as Harvey is going to do a couple of Jobs for me, that I can't do.

Lovely sunny day here ,family came this morning and we sat out and had coffee while the little ones played .
Son ordered some new caps for us for the spa hopefully this will help ,We hope !!!
We also bought some new bunk beds for the girls bedroom ,at the moment they both have single beds so this should give them a bit more room in their bedroom for their toys !!

Jane ,have a lovely day with Janice and family ,i hope it's sunny for you like it is here so you can go out into the garden .

Hope you are enjoying your day with Janice and OH Jane, and that the weather is a bit more settled than here, just had another down pour so have come in until it stops, really want to get on with the patio, had to get another 6 bags of Ballust from W**kes, a young lad came out and put them in the car, I said it was a pity I couldn't take him home with me so he could unload them, he agreed, said it would be better than staying in the store. It seems to be taking shape now, there was a time when I hadn't a clue what I was doing, just have to get the area level now then I can mix up the cement and lay the slabs, probably not today if it keeps raining on and off.

Quite liked some of the opening to the Olympics, some of it was boring, just couldn't stay up for the parading of all the countries, seemed to take ages and was only on the B's so I gave up and went to bed.

Invite has finally come, will be going down to the caravan in Dorset with daughter and family for a few days on the llth August, fingers crossed we get some decent weather and the weekend after that up to my other daughters for a family get together, perhaps we could arrange something for then Jane and Ann, and anyone else who could make it.

Just going to have a quick look on my e.mails while it's still raining,don't understand what it means when Facebook says I have notifications pending .... help please........

Well that bright spell didn't last long, think I'll give up in the garden now and have a glass of wine, if I do go back later I can always blame the wine if the patio isn't level ;-)

At least I've got a chance now to catch up on all the posts

We've had some heavy showers this afternoon, been fiddling with the pool, now the salt machine's not working .......i give up :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Maureen , you'll have muscles on your muscles with all the heavy lifting you've been doing ,slabs are heavy things to be lifting about ,watch your back.
Fingers crossed you get some nice sunny days for your time away .

It is quiet , Jane and Frank have family visiting today ,i think Mel has been getting ready for visitors tomorrow .

Poor Fiona must still be having her bad headaches ,i wonder if all her extension is finished yet.

Here I am :-D.What a wonderful day it has been.Janice and I have spent most of it just laughing our socks off .I am exhausted now.That is what a visit should be like :-D :-D
They have all just left to go back to Tewkesbury.Janice is walking a lot better now and the swelling on her leg has gone down a massive amount.Still a fair way to go though.
Both of us got caught outside in a tremendous downpour with thunder.We got soaked even standing under the Gazebo.It was hilarious.
I can hear thunder again now,but not sure which way it is heading.

Maureen, you have done really well lugging those slabs.......bet the wine helped a lot.....good anaesthetic! ;-) Watch you don't pinch your fingers between them when you lay them. How nice for you to get a break down in Dorset......it will do you good to have a change of scene and hopefully some sunshine for sunbathing. Yes, a get together would be great and with anyone else who could make it. Had to chuckle at your Happy Farmer!

I really enjoyed the opening of the games, but after an hour and a half started to get a bit bored and tired so went to bed. OH watched the lot.

Yesterday I decided not to go to Stratford on Avon with OH (good job....the traffic was horrendous, a festival of some sort!) I went to Frank's son's neck of the woods in Rutland and did 3 Garden Centres. I bet the girls have been to them all Frank!! :-D I had a nice jacket pot at the Greetham one. :-D I found the 'Red Lady' shrub I had been looking for.......haven't dared tell OH what it cost yet!!! :-0 Well having found one at last I could hardly go home without it could I!! :-D

Oh Jane I would love to be a fly on the wall when Aunty asks about the visit to your place!! lol. It is about time you got an apology. though .......or bunch of flowers. Good you had a nice visit from Janice today and and some laughter. I'm really glad her knee seems to be on the mend at last. I kept meaning to ask about your poor eye. What a nuisance it hasn't cleared up, but hopefully this lot of antibiotics might send it on it's way. It is horrid when your eye keeps running and the pollen doesn't help with all this fine weather.

Round here, but more towards Hinckley the Ragwort seaon is here with a vengeance, the stuff is growing everywhere and a couple of fields are absolutely full of it. You'd think the councils and owners would pull it out with it being so toxic.

Shame about 'Onslow' passing away. I loved his character in Keeping up Appearances.

Early start again tomorrow......OH's car is in again for the brakes this time.....MORE EXPENSE as Frank would say. I think I better turn in soon.......I'm pooped as there was a party in the garden with live music over the back last night until gone 3.00am!!! :-S

Sunny, but cool here today. Daughter attended Jacob's funeral, such a sad occasion and not without incident, but I will tell that story another time. Such a tragic loss.

So surprised and saddened to read that Onslow has passed away. I loved his character. I have the full boxed set and he has made me laugh so much for years. My son will be very upset too. I didn't know he'd been so ill for many years. He was always strong and hefty looking.

Jane sounds like you had a delightful day with Janice. I am so pleased she is walking easier and in less pain. As for the other two, they should have been far more honest and up front with the aunt. I wonder what the story will sound like? ;-) Probably totally different to your version. I hope she comes to her senses one day and gives you the huge apology you deserve. I still have the cyst in my eye too. That's been there since last year, but it is very small and doesn't rub any more. I hope the antibiotic cream will do the trick.

Maureen I will write something on your fb wall. Can you see the different things I post? You should be able to. I really love Once Upon a Time as well. It has become my favourite show. I can't really get into all this reality tv, there is just too much of it.

I didn't see the Opening Ceremony, but from what I saw on the news it looked marvellous. Everything British and a really clever production by the team. They are to be congratulated. I should have taped it, but I have been staying up late watching some of the events. I love the pool centre and all the event venues are brilliant. The countryside is so pretty over there.

Mel when do your visitors arrive and Pat when do you go to Majorca?

I know that 2 of my B Brothers actually had a fight at their other Brothers Funeral !!! Shame on them I say.There is no excuse at all for not being respectful during a funeral even if it kicks off somewhere else afterwards

What sun, !!!! Ros, decided to start on the back borders this morning, just got her seat thingy and tools in postion, and down came the rain. It happened to her all afternoon yesterday, doing the front garden. In and out like a fiddles elbow !!!!

Mels relatives are turning up today I think, so she will be busy.

Had one of my night last night. In bed by 11.00 pm up again at 12.45 am. sat till 3.30 am, watching Spanish police in action. Managed to stumble back to bed and slept till 6.00. tossed and turned for an hour and got up. Feel like a zombie now.

Harvey put a new valve in the toilet to stop it whistling every time the cysten filled he also tightened the tap cluster in the basin, that kept moving around. I couldfn't get to it, but he did both jobs in 10 minutes.

He rang Julia and Lewis while here, Lewis was having one of his "OPPOSITE" days, He had Ros in stiches !!! They both gave Harvey a list of things for him to take over in the truck in two weeks time, Tennis racket, balls,more trainers, Bransto# Pickle, Boveri# ox# bist' sun cream. LARGE joint of BEEF. which he can put in his mobile freezer.!!!!!! The things he's got you wouldn't believe. His truck will be loaded in the back. !!!

Had smoked mackeral for supper last night, so that may have been my problem.

Pork fillit for dinner tonight, new pots from the garden, broad beans (for her MAJ) peas,carrots, cauli.

Funny old day here sunny one minute ,rain the next and a bit of thunder too,and first thing this morning it was really chilly .
Woke up this morning with a thumper of a head ache !! i think i slept to sound ,two tablets seemed to have done the trick.

You're right Frank, will give the patio a rest for a few days now, daughter has been with Harry, he is such a little character haven't seen him since the wedding and he has changed in that short time, more a little boy now less baby. Son popped in yesterday, I was showing him what I'd done so far and he showed me how to level it, he made it look so easy, wasn't quite the same when I tried to do it.

Wouldn't you be better of going to a nursery Ann, there must be quite a few around your way and they are a lot cheaper, but they probably don't have the choices of a garden centre.

Will take a look at my e.mails in a minute, don't say it very often but I do enjoy your jokes Frank keep them coming ;-)
