Maureen, Onslow, was MRS BUCKETS brother in law. in Keeping up appearences. I must google him, I have a feeling he lived in Northants, not to far from me. Do you have a spirit level ??? and a long piece ofr wood. ??? they will help making sure your swlabs are level. Ask Mandy's OH his the bee's knees on that subject.
Pat you have a good time on your holiday, don't worry about Mocha. He will be fine.
Mandy, I haven't had T in the H for donkey years. Ros won't eat it. I must do a small one for myself one of these days !!!

Yes I remember him in Keeping Up Appearances, he was Daisy's husband, think they are having a rerun of it on one of the freeviews.
I have got a spirit level that was how son was showing me how to level it he just made it look easier than it was.
It's turned out to be a nice day today but I haven't been in the garden and it forecasts rain for the rest of the week, think we had our summer last week :-0

It looks as though we could be in for a deluge any moment here :-S I have just put the light on. Pat I bet you can't wait to get away to some nice sunshine now.We will all be feeling envious. I don't know if this has been suggested ,but when Mocha goes off to kennels it is a good idea to send something with him that smell s of you and OH.Maybe a bit of clothing like an old jumper .I think when Chester went for the first couple of times and he was very unhappy they put him in with another little dog which helped a lot.
I feel so tired this evening .can't stop yawning.James is the same and he has to go to work in a minute:( I think the black clouds have just passed us by(for now) I can see some patches of blue :-D
Mandy I hope that Toad in the Hole is as spectacular as your usual efforts :-D.It's been an age since I last did one.Tonight Chris and I are having the same as we did yesterday as I had 2 bits of chicken left and the veg.The only difference is instead of Potato wedges it is baby new pots.

I see Pat is getting the hic-ups.!!!!
Jane at the moment we have bright blue sky, earlier we had one hell of a downpour. Ros just managed to get in from the garden. I knew Onslow was from arround here somewhere. Thanks for that will save me keep thinking of it.
I have cleared up after dinner, it was very good, even though I say it myself. Two clean plates says everything.
We didn't do very well in in diving did we ???? Those Chinese are something different. Have you seen them play Table tennis. ( NOT THE DIVERS) can hardly see the ball !!!! Just made me smile , thinking of the divers playing T T under water.
Conrad called this morning. Boughjt his Merc in for an oil leak. He brings it to Northampton so he can come and see us. They give him a car to use, so it's their petrol. !!!
Hope your relatives allright Mel, and they are settled in. How long are they staying. ????

Frank ,it is good to see clean plates.I had 7 yesterday :-D :-D.Scraped clean :-D I had such a great time with Janice.I showed her the email of the dogs and we were in stitches.James came downstairs and said he thought it sounded like there were 2 wild animals down here. That's how loud we were laughing :-D We get on so well together.Lots of chat about out childhood and the things we did to eachother in temper. She threw Mums perfume in my eyes ,and she lives with a scar above her eyebrow when I bashed her head against the pebbledash wall when she was about 3.I also made her jump in a Cowpat (because I said if she did I would)......She did......I didn't :-D :-D.I got a right telling off from Mum and Dad:(

Evening All,
Yes thanks for the emails everyone.....starts the day with a chuckle! :-D A nice photo of the rainbow Frank......it seems ages since I last saw one.
Maureen, we do have a nursery the other side of the village that is much cheaper, but they don't stock the more unusual stuff I have been looking for lately. I bought a couple of Hebes and some of their own eggs there this morning. I admire you tackling slab laying on your own but it will be very satisfying to have done it. I have only ever 'helped'.
We were the same as Ros this morning Frank. After we took OH's car in for the brakes, did some errands and came home we went in the garden. Great big raindrops so we legged it to sit under the arbour, then dry for 15 minutes, then rain again!! No thunder though and we did get quite a bit done, as much as my back wanted to anyway! :-D
I have been watching the badminton and phew the men's doubles is so fast too. I used to play a lot in my slimmer youth and still like to watch it. I have watched a bit of the equestrian events too. I do hate those steep drops/banks for the horses though, too much weight gets thrown on just their front legs. One poor thing slipped, hurt it's leg and the rider came off. The poor horse was lame after.
I bet you are in 'holiday' mood now Pat, and ready for some more reliable sunny weather. I bet you will be a bit sad at leaving Mocha at the kennels the first time, but I bet he will be fine with a few of his toys. Will they be feeding him his usual food or theirs?
Another early night for me I think. It must be all this gardening and early starts making me tired. It will be afternoon naps next!!! lol. OH has a hospital appointment tomorrow for the nerve tests. I should imagine he will get the results after they do it.

Morning all,
Sunny, but very chilly today. The python is back. Came for a visit onto the patio straight toward my Ragdoll, whilst the black cat was crying at the back door. When my daughter let the cats in, it slithered slowly behind our garden shed. Just likes us or wants a feed??? :-0
Frank the young lad had given up guitar and music and joined a youth group which has turned out to be nothing but a cult. My daughter was involved early last year and got out quickly. The kids seem to suffer depression after the encounter as the elders push for money. A tithe of your income to be precise, they are only kids after all. I went there for a healing, but when I didn't get better they said I was demonised. Just parasites!!!
His parents said no youth group people welcome, so what happens 50 turned up and stood outside the chapel giving out pamphlets. Miranda told them to **** off and respect family wishes. It seems this is the main cause of his suicide as he changed dramatically after joining. They should be investigated by the police. The father made some very pointed remarks in his eulogy, but apart from that it was a lovely service as funerals go.
Pat that sun can't come quickly enough. Mocha will be good, he will settle in and that tail will be wagging a'plenty when you get back. How long are you gone for.
Mel I hope you are enjoying your company.
I did leave a message on Fiona's fb too, but I see other people have as well. I am really worried about her, but don't want to pester her with emails.
I am enjoying watching the events. A local lad is competing in the boxing in the heavy weight I think or maybe one level below that. He went to school with my daughter and has only just turned 17. The folks must be very proud and he is said to be a medal chance. He is the cousin of footballer Tim Cahill.
Nearly time for dinner, just some fried rice for me, but lasagne for the others. Have a good day everyone. 6.48 pm AEST

Morning and Evening Kim,
Oh what a terrible story Kim, Why is it that no one has reported it to the Authorities. They can surely shut this type of thing down, and prosecute the ring leaders. Young children are so easerly taken in by this sort of thing. They think it's the answer to all their troubles. Nice to see a local lad doing well in the boxing, and I know of TIM CAHILL.
Jane, I bet the household is in chaos when Janice is with you :-D :-D :-D That's something my Family never did. Such a shame when you think how many of us there were, and the things we got upto. and so many things to have had a good laugh about.
Mel, Enjoy your day with the visitors. Will you go to the coast or country.????
Maureen, Bring us back a silly hat. :-D :-D :-D Have a good time and don't get drunk !!!!
Ann I keep flicking aroung the Olymic chanels, catch a bit of most sports. The venues are great, it's a pity about the seating being unused. They should just give them to anyone who wants them. They have already been paid for I assume. !!!! Glad to see the FORCES allowed to use them too.
Plenty of rain here this morning, SO MUCH for our summer :-( :-( :-(

Thanks for the info for fb Pat, will try it in a minute. Just think of it as a holiday for Mocha too.
I've always been the gofor up to now Ann, but son seems to have a lot of work on and time with his family is precious so looks like I shall have to soldier on on my own. I often go to a nursery when up visiting my daughter, there's a house in one of the villages just outside Bedford that leaves sacks of manure out the front and request you leave a small donation, I usually come home with a few sacks.
At least it's nice to know the old snake didn't come to any harm Kim, still wouldn't want it hanging around though. These cults seem to be a law unto themselves, it amazes me how people get sucked in.
To my surprise I have been watching some of the Olympics, and enjoying it, the gymnastics was great but I don't understand how once a score has been given they can then change it because the country aren't happy with the score, watched the hockey, nice to see GB winning for a change.

WON'T be cooking tonight.
The F & C van will be round about 6.30 pm So have decided to have that tonight. Very good it is too. Always fresh and crispy batter and chips. It makes a change now and again. and not bad price F & C £5.20 fish cakes (ROS) £1.50 each.
Been raining here on and off all day. but very warm outside.
Been looking at the auction site for Come# Built in cookers going for about £150.00 Store price over £500.00. all new without packaging, free delivery. Must look there when we need a new cooker. Won't be long as the glass door seal is gone. and have to wedge it closed with a piece of wood.!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D Still works though. Much to Ros's dissapointment. Need to save some pennies .
Everyone is very quiet today, How are you all.
