Morning all,

What a FANTASTIC show they put on last night. Two fingures to all the doubters !!!! I went into bed and turned on the Radio, and some idiot was saying how POLITICAL the opening was, refering to NHS and the BAN THE BOMB sign. Don't they realise it was through the times of British History. I can easerly get out of my tree, over these people.

Anyway, Nice morning here, a few clouds that might build later.

Glad you are all keeping busy.

My runners are about 2 inches long, (Be ready for XMAS) Broad beans are in abundant, Ros will be feed up with them.

Had Lamb Chops last night, Leek and cabbage in cheese sauce, Broad beans, Peas and carrots. It's great being able to have a good gnaw at the chop bones. They were so sweet and tender.

Off for a shower and shave.

Yes Frank .I agree .It was a brilliant opening.I gather a lot of folk seem to think it was 'boring'. :-S.
I managed to stay up for the whole thing (just.)I have recorded it so will be able to see the few bits I may have missed when I nodded off lol

It's a bit cloudy so not sure how it will pan out today.Our beans only just have a few flowers on so are well behind both you and Mel..Our peas have just about finished and courgettes have not been brilliant.I did like the ball shaped ones.
Must get off to get more food in so BBL

I felt a bit concerned about the Queen last night.She looked so blooming tired and not really taking much notice of what was going on.There was one moment when the camera was on her and Philip,and she was picking at her nails lol.Then when she did her little speech to open the games she said it with a very flat voice almost as though she had not energy to do it.She was probably wishing she was back home tucked up in bed.The pair of them just looked exhausted.
I did love the bit when Charles and Camilla had a fit of the giggles together :-D

Have been to Tes** .I had to get more antibiotic cream for this eye cyst that I have now had for months :-S.Chris is wondering if I might actually have to have it removed !!!!!!!!.I really really do not fancy having that done as it would be done under a local :-0.But it is getting me down now .It looks unsightly and my eye waters all the time.
It isn't very sunny but I think I will still go and put my old shorts back on

Been nice and sunny here this morning, we are filling the pool and as for the spa !!! :-( :-( say no more :-S

Just pottering this afternoon , getting a few jobs done and then this evening we're off to see sister and BIL.

Oh was surprized they were aloud to do that jump from the copter. I did'nt see the end I went to bed.

Have had the whole of the spare room out today so now I just have to have a final hoover up and thats ready. Still have the hall to clean and the bathroom but that can wait.

I have to do church flowers this afternoon now so I better go and see what there is to pick.

Shame about your spa Mandy.............but the pool will be nice.

LOL Mel the Queen didn't jump.......although maybe she did and that was why she wasn't looking too chirpy ;-) ;-)
I did notice she had a kind of Fascinator thingy on her head.some feathery thing.I have never seen her with one of those.It's always hats.

I think you have cleaned enough for now Mel.I have just had a good hoover through downstairs.Might have a flick with the duster later.It's only Janice coming so I don't need to have a spring clean lol.She knows what I am like :-D

Chris has just dug up all the Garlic.They are HUGE !!!! Now hanging up on the outside of the Summerhouse.I think Janice will be going home with some as there are a lot.I'm sure Fitz will not say no to a few either.
Our Peppers in the greenhouse seem to be going soft so I will have a google now and see if I can find the reason why.

Afternoon all..Not a lot of sun about today here.

Watched most of the games thingy last night then went and watch the rest on I player.

Have been doing alot of cleaning today..Done some gardening then thought as the sun wasent out I may as well catch up with my ironing.
Decided to re iron some of my holiday stuff,,and caught one top..will have to just wear that one around the house now

Jane..I noticed he queen picking her nails too,I dont know how they sat though it to the end..
Not away until next sat still keep changing my mind what to take lol..
Im not paying extra for any more allowance..

The sun is trying to come out now may take a glass of wine outside and hope..

I'm sure you will enjoy your glass of wine Pat in between sun and cloud :-D

My Sister arrives about 10 am tomorrow and then her OH will be off to somewhere near Cambridge to see his Daughter and her little boy.Then at some point after lunch Janice's youngest ,Matthew and his Girlfriend will be joining us .So now it will be 7 for dinner in the evening.Just hope I have enough vegetarian stuff for Matthew :-S.

I did enjoy my wine tho..Dinner on Lasagne and garlic bread and perhaps another glass of wine..Hubby doesnt like white so all mine lol..He is a sleep on settee with Mocha at the moment,,resting his eyes as he would say.Just taken a photo of him lol

I wonder whats wrong with your peppers then Jane ? those stuffed peppers with bacon and cheese i did the other night were really tasty.

Any news on her ladyship? did she get to her aunts ?

If you have a look at today's Daily Mail her heir has almost assumed control of "The Firm" since her Jubilee.

He and Andrew appear to be falling out.

Haven't seen any of that David..This year has just been quite a year for the Queen and Phillip.They surely can't keep going at this pace.I couldn't do it at 58!!!.
Think it will be an early night for me tonight.Chris is champing at the bit for food as he wants to go to bed soon.

Mandy.Her Ladyship and OH have turned up at the Aunties .I think they will be going back to London tomorrow.Her Aunty rang me earlier .They have mentioned nothing about the 'visit' here.So Helen (Aunty) is going to just drop into a conversation ........"Oh by the way ,did you see Jane" ??? and did you have a nice time? !!!!!

I knew it would be an early night for me tonight.....I'm off :-D

Just popping in to say night night.

Morning all and evening Kim,

Been raininghere but it is not dull. We have blue sky with big white fluffy clouds and sunshine then grey clouds and a little rain.

Today on the list is the kitchen which I spend most of my time in and so do visitors!!. I never sit in an easy chair but always at the table.

Hope all are well and have been enjoying the nice weather we have had over the last week. It is bound to rain this week as my SIL is coming down, it always does it seems lately.

Well Janice and Larry have just turned off the M6 and are now on the A14 so will be here in about 15 mins.
I will no doubt pop in again sometime during the day.TTFN
