Morning all,

I am a very aching old man this morning. Can't bend at all,

I was in bed by 11.00 pm still awake at 2.30 got up and sat watching T.V. till 6 00 am tried to go back to bed, but only dozed, was up again by 8.00. Ros says it servews me right, for doing the Gutters and windows in two days. Should have left more time between jobs.

Today, I won't be doing a thing. I could do with a good Massage. (ANY OFFERS) you must be gentle with me. :-D :-D :-D

Ros's old sewing machine has given up the ghost, it was bought for her by her Mother for her fifthteenth birthday. SWo not done bad. !!! I have bought her a new one which turned up this morning "TOYOT#" I didn't know they made sewing machines, but Ros said they are very good. Gor loads of Extra's with it too. She will be pleased, as she can't do the quilting without one. MORE EXPENCE.

Jane I would assume you are up to your neck it dust and rubble by now.. Will they be finished today ???

David, You didn't upset anyone I am sure. I sent a lot worse to the "GIRLS" and I haven't had any complaints YET !!!!

Another beautiful day here today. I think my lounger is calling for me and my book.

Another warm day here, plenty of sun shine after a very misty start ,when i looked out the window first thing it was like a sea mist rolling in .

I think i've just worked out why the other spa kept deflating , i think the caps that hold the air in each layer were on wrong !! :-S
When i looked inside the caps they each have a number on the inside !!
the out side spa cover has big numbers one to three printed on it and i think they should match up :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S wait till i tell hubby :-S it will be all my fault !!!!

Oh dear Frank, well i hope you rest up today so your not so weary tomorrow ,enjoy your day on the lounger with your book and have a little doze .
My sewing machine that i got from the car boot is a Toyo*a ,nice little machine ,does what i want .

Oh Jane, not more problems !! if they dig up today ,will they get it all done so you can use the kitchen over the week end ? you'll be in a right muddle if not !!

Have just bought a T BAR clamp on Ebaqy. The conservatory door joint at the top is opening up, so I will aradite the joint and clamp it together, and put a "L" plate on either side. That should hold it till I can afford a new door.

Jane, Dosen't the plumber have one of those water diviners, that show where the pipes are. ???

You can guess where I've been for the past week, basking in the sun in the backgarden. I love this weather. I have been doing a bit with the patio when it's in the shade, have done my back in a bit though lugging those heavy patio slabs about and a bag of sand is really heavy, about the only time I could do with a man around, no offence Frank, David and William

I haven't had a chance to read all the posts, but hope everyone is well and enjoying our summer at last.

I have bought a garden table, the one that was in Ealing, he had it on for £50 and had no offers then he put it back on for £25, I have looked up how much they are in Ar**s, B & * etc. and have definitely got a bargain.

Will go and have a wander down the garden now and see if I can do a bit more,but should really give my back a rest today.

Still no news from Madam Strop.I did get a call this afternoon from her Aunty in Oxford to say she was on the way to her.I know the plan was they were going for the weekend.(not sure if she is with OH or not).I have told her Aunty what went on the other day (she is disgusted).But I have asked her not to say anything to Rachel.It will be interesting to see see if she mentions it.
It is a beautiful evening.So nice eating outside all the time at the moment.

No bells here this morning......I asked Mel a while ago if her OH was ringing for the Olympics? The Sputnik alpine sounds interesting Mel.....look forward to seeing a pic. I managed to get an evergreen dwarf Azalea yesterday, healthy and reduced to £3. My word, it sounds like you have a busy time ahead with your visitors.

We did a bit more work outside this morning, but it is all catching up with us now in aches everywhere so we went out for lunch and then to see MIL. It seems someone has told them to get their prescriptions delivered so they were full of their praises. We told them they could do this ages ago as well. :-S Sigh!! FIL seems to still have quite a bit of pain with his back so they are off to the docs on Monday.

Jane, I haven't had an email or a photo of Chester either. :-( It certainly hasn't been a good week for you has it, but it will be good for you to see your sister on Sunday. I bet she isn't impressed with Rachel either. I hope her poor knee is a bit better now.

Maureen, it sounds like you are 'clearing the decks'! I hope you were 'walking' those slabs, one end forward then the other and not trying to lift them. Some of the older slabs can be very heavy. That's great you got a bargain with your table after all then. I must admit I wondered if William had seen Katerina as well!

Forgot to say that one of my photos was printed in the local paper today. :-D They are running a competition for pics of reflections and I sent my Liverpool one of the old buildings reflected in the glass wall of the new ones.

I think I may watch the opening ceremony with OH......it's a bit cooler in the lounge now.

Well it is now the count down to the opening of the Olympic Games.Not sure I will be able to stay awake until midnight when it finishes.So I had better see if I can press the right button on the controls to record it.I will be lucky to stay awake for the first hour lol.No doubt I will have a few tears at some stage I just hope it is a stupendous success.

Well I have had the curtains down in the little loo washed them dried them and ironed them and put them back up. Then shampooed the carpet in there. Shampooer broke and leaked all the soap out right across the kitchen carpet so it has been shut outside untill it can be house trained or it can go altogether.

Did a load of ironing and changed the bed in the spare room. Did three or four lots of washing, lost count but when you have washed there is another pile of ironing waiting to be done...... :-| :-|

Have had the opening ceremony on but getting bored with it now.

Off now so may see you in the morning.

They are coming on Monday so only two days to get it all clean and tidy and the caravan too. Told oh I am not cooking for them all.

Still dry here but the skies are a bit cloudy today and I am wondering if we may have a shower today.

I am on church flowers today which is a nuisance as I wanted to get on with the house.

Forgot to tell you we have had a Spitfire flying over the last couple of days. You can hear it coming as they have adistinctive sound.

The bees are busy in the wall up the garden and have seemed to settle in.

I HAVE RUNNERS BEANS BIG ENOUGH TO PICK UP THE TUNNEL !!!!!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D also picked 6 cues yesterday and three courgettes. I did go up there till late to water.
