Morning my lovelies, How the devil are you all,???
I am in shorts as usual, ready to go into the garden for a read.
KIM, what a tragic story, I hope it dosn't have any long lasting damage to your daughter. Thank god the only suicide I knew, was an old chap. (He did a lot of driving for me.) He found he had CANCER.. Got up in the middle of the night, got dressed in his best suit, collar and tie, went into the garage and gassed himself from the car exhaust. Just couldn't face the future.
Smashing photo's mel, Have replied to you.
What time are you expecting your visitors Jane ???
Pat, It was a good job you never came with Ros and I when we flew around the World in 2007. We set off from Manchester to (in order) New York/Las Vegas/Hawaii/Sydney/Boreno/Bejing/ Agra/ Dubia/Cape Town//Cairo then back to Manchester. We left on 27th Feb and arrived home 21st March. This was all paid for by my Youngest and his Partner. When they were realy in the money !!!!
Glad to see you around Liz, all tidy now I expect.
See you later.

Afternoon All,
I was up at 7.30am this morning and out in the garden with OH!! More progress and planting, hose all in now, but by 11.00am we'd had enough and were ready for a cool shower. Now I'm off to a place near Nottingham that has just 1 left of a purple small shrub I want.
Will catch up with the posts later. Roof down and shades on and aircon on the feet I think. lol. BBL :-D

Well hi Frankl how lovely to see all those places.
Oh my gosh Beryl arrived in a union jack dress really short made a few people look but what was funny she thought the games started today in London. I said it is Friday you daft B//////g////er she said never mind I am in fashion. she said I wondered why Cassie said what you wearing that today for mum.
Beryl went up the road for fish andf chips. My hubby fancied some so we sent her off with a simple order 2 fish and a cone of chips and for herself a piece of cod and chips. So she comes back with pie and chips for all of us saying the fish was not cooked. I thought she meant it was not fried but no she poked it and decided the fish needed cooking longer. the man in the shop who is very nice told her to go before he pelted her with chips
Im hoping she goes soon I was going to have a nice lazy day sunning myself need a sun tan badly .Berl covered herself in cooking oil so I guess shes hanging around to fry in the sun.a piece of old cod sorry thats naughty.going to read some more threads then braving the outside

Well a few more jobs done while Ros is out. If she knew she would go mad.
Been up the "BIG" steps to clear all the guttering of the moss off the roof. It was nice and dry so came out easy, sweept in the gutter so ready for winter !!!!. The lazy neighbours gutter is full and overflowing with moss. I will cut a bit of chichen wire and wedge in the guttering to stop all his rubbish washing down my gutter. Cleared the top of my porch roof of the moss also. Have also nailed a large piece of Chicken wire to the top of our back gate, to stop the Bloo## cats jumping over at night. When you are in bed with the window open you can hear the gate rattle, and think someone is out there.
I can't stop drinking water, I have had eight glass's so far today. and still feel parched.
I sat for a while in the sun with my book, but it's too hot just to sit around. Will go and find something else to keep me out of mischief, :-D :-D :-D

It must be a day for dog washing :-D i got every thing ready outside to bathe Toby ,it started off well :-D wetting him up was no problem , he stood still while i did that ,shampooing him was a bit iffy ,then when it came to rinsing him off :-S thats where he went dolally :-S :-D he wriggled out of my grasp ......he chased round the garden as if the wind was up his kilt :-D :-D :-D he ran in the kitchen door .....because i had forgotten to close it !! then into the conservatory ,after a lot of calling i did eventually get him back outside and rinsed him off after a fashion !! He's now sprawled out on the tile floor drying off :-D :-D :-D Remind me not to try and bathe him on my own again some one !! :-D :-D
I see Beryl's up to some antics again :-D :-D

Well I can't even begin to describe what a disastrous day it has been. :-S :-S Just to cut it very short I am upset. Rachel totally lost the plot (anger wise) with Darren. She asked me to remove him from my property !!!!!!!.I refused.Told them to ******** stop the argueing and that I wanted both of them to stay but how dare they bring their problems here. She turned on me and said I was siding with him and that if he didn't go she would.............I told her to go and come back when she had calmed down and how dare she speak to me in the way she did.So she has gone and we don't know where she is.She has gone off in the hired car with Darrens phone, all his cash and a credit card from his wallet.Darren said it was better if he went as she wouldn't come back here if he was here.James took him to the station and he has gone back to London. She was so awful in the things she said to me.Said she thought better of me!!!! Rude mare. I just hope she and Ethan are safe .But I do not want to speak to her right now.Chris thinks she need some psychiatric help with all her issu es. I have supported her since her Mum (my best friend) died back in 2000 I have cried buckets :-S.I just can't stand these kind of things. I had to ring my neighbour because I was so embarrassed at the thought they might have heard the commotion .I shouted louder than I have ever done :-S :-S Now feel a total wreck! :-( Good news .......we have the go ahead for the plumbers to do the work.
Sorry for being such a misery. It's not like me .But this has upset me beyond belief .I just can't stand all this nastiness. And I didn't hold back either verbally.(that is not me).I hope all this makes sense (have had 3 glasses of wine)

Heaven's Jane, how awful, like you I find domestic upsets VERY distressing, well, any upsets actually. I think Rachel is clearly completely out of order to be so rude and unpleasant to you, rowing with her husband in your house is bad enough, but then to turn on you like that is totally unacceptable behaviour. I agree with Chris, I think it sounds as if she needs some sort of help, but even so, no excuse for appalling behaviour. I do hope you feel a bit better and as for where she is and what she's doing, that's really up to her - only worry as I see it is that little boy, but again Jane, he is their responsibility, and frankly you can't be made to feel guilty on that front. At least the plumbers are coming - so that's a bit of cheer!!!

Oh Jane, how awful for you!! Fancy behaving like that in your home too and saying nasty things to you. It makes you wonder what that little boy has to listen to at home. I would try not to fret about it if I were you, I bet she didn't mean all she said in the heat of things, just get yourself another glass of wine!! ;-) I suppose hormones and pregnancy don't help, but if things were like that they shouldn't have visited and she does need some professional help to sort things out one way or another. She sounds either manipulative or genuinely thinks that no-one sees her side of things even though they DO.You are trying, rightly to be neutral as it is their business, but she wants you to agree with her and do what she wants to strengthen her position or she feels betrayed. Well, she has a huge helping of humble pie to eat now and I hope she at least lets you know she and Ethan are ok.

Jane, Just relax, We all know you are not that type
I think I would have thrown her out on her ear, How dare she come into someones house and lead off like that. Sounds to me that she needs a Blood# good hiding. That would be my answer to it :-0 :-0 :-0 :-0 You enjoy your wine, and hope she comes to her sences and rings you, to apolgise, and come back for the night.
Mandy I can just see you trying to hold on to Toby, when he was all suded up. If thats the right word. :-D :-D :-D My old Labrador, back in the 60s loved to jump over a six foot gate/fence and go off to Wickstead Park. He would swin in the lake, and get covered in disel oil. Being a GOLDEN one, I had to drench him in the garden and shampoo him 4/5 times to get all the oil out. Then the job to get all the shampoo out. before drying him off with towles and the hairdryer. I have never eaten stuffed peppers. Peppers play havock with my indigestion, so I stay well clear of them.
The Bloo## CATS have dug up Ros's plants again. I have replanted them, and covered the area in HOLLY and orange peel, If that don't stop them, I don't know what I will do :-( :-( :-( I've got my own thought about that.!!!
We have a troublesome dog over the back somewhere, All it's done all day is BARK BARK BARK. I have called over three times today to ask them to stop the dog barking. Then it started up again tonight, so again I SHOUTED SUT THAT BLOO## DOG UP. It's now gone nice and quiet.

Sheila, its a wonder Beryl didn't ask for some old fish and chip oil for her TAN as well.
Frank, you and OH get more alike by the day......told not to do something and like naughty schoolboys do the opposite ;-) It is a good job you were careful with those steps. I bet the pussy cats won't like your chicken wire.....hope they don't get caught short with the shock!! :-S
I went off to collect the shrub I 'd found this afternoon and it showed 31 degrees in the car so the roof stayed down and the cold air turned up! First problem was queuing traffic onto the M1 so I carried on past to find another way. It seems lots of other people had the same Idea so it was crawl nose to tail for about 15 mins along the ring road. It was ok after that but the garden centre was BOILING!! I got a few things as there was a sale on then went to pick up the shrub. The girl had to phone someone and it took ages and I was about to ask for oxygen when the chap appeared with it. I got 10% off as the plastic pot was cracked so that was good. Then the CD I'd picked up was scanning a different price to the sticker, so another long wait in the heat. The girl was ok as she had a fan blowing her face. After about 10 minutes I started to feel odd with all the heat so told the girl I'd leave the CD. It was a relief to get in the car and have some water, soon felt better when the cool kicked in.
Mandy, Liz, it sounds like Toby and Millie are one step ahead when it comes to bathtime!! lol. I saw somewhere that if you keep your hand on a dog's back while you shampoo and rinse they do not shake themselves till you move your hand. Is it right?
Mel, your ponds are looking really good. How many fish do you think you have altogether now? Your lawns look smashing and so healthy. Please tell your OH he has certainly EARNED HIS STRIPES!!!! ;-) ;-)

I am so HOT. We have the big and little fan going and it just moves the air around. The forcast is 32 degrees tomorrow, so we will be melting. To think a couple of days ago we were wondering when the summer was coming.
I've had two showers this afternoon/evening, one when I finished in the garden and another just now to try to cool off. Top of the bed tonight with all windows open.
Ann, When you look at OH do you think of ME :-D :-D :-D Thats the way we are made. !!! I didn't envy you driving around today, and having to queue in the traffic, and waiting at the chechout. I think I would have given up long before you did.
Going to sit in the garden with a couple of cold beers.
Goodnight all.

Oh dear Jane, how naughty of them bring their arguments to yours and then for her to want you to take sides ,that's just not on is it .
I hope once she calms down she comes to her senses and rings to apolgise for shouting at you like that in your home.
Deep breaths Jane, don't let it upset you too much.
It's good that you have at last heard from the plumbers and that they are coming to sort out the leak .
Ann, Toby had a good old shake once he'd got out of my grip so you might be right , he smells lovely now though ,but he keeps eyeing me up as if to say your not doing that again !!! I thought he would love it as it's been so hot today .

Yes, I think I will have a shower now and be off to bed. We often sit outside to cool down at night Frank. If its going to be 32 degrees tomorrow, better be up and out early again. Tomorrow's main job is to move the rotary a few feet, then it will be watering plants in pots and greenhouse and maybe plant a few if we aren't BOILING by then. Then it will be a cooling shower and out for a carvery lunch and a lazy afternoon. :-D
Hope you all manage a good night's sleep......it seems hotter tonight. Jane will have her fan on!! :-)

I have sent Chris off to bed as he was driving me nuts because he was so angry that I had been upset.he doesn't want her to darken our door again !!! (that's what he says tonight)I got Hannah to get in touch with Rachel .it looks like she is still in Kettering in a Hotel .So I may hear from Rachel tomorrow :-S I will certainly have a few words about her behaviour, and if she doesn't like it and goes off with her arse in her hand so be it.( where did that saying come from I wonder).I can't be doing with their problems any more.So a bit of tough talking will have to be done(from me) ..... :-SI think I may have been a bit too soft in the past.No more pussy footing. I'm so sorry to unload all this cr** on you all .But it is good just to be able to type it all out and get it off my chest....There ,it is done now so I will say no more :-D I can't believe it is 10pm!.I am off to bed now.(just hope Chris is in the land of nod) 'cos I don't want to talk about this anymore tonight.I am pooped.

HOME ALONE TILL 4.00 pm. PATCHWORK DAY..
Morning lads and lassies,
Glad you are feeling a bit more relaxed this morning Jane. I have never heard that saying !!!! I would think Rachael is regretting the things she said yesterday. I hope Chris will relent on her coming into your house, but I did the same to SIMON (my son) and he hasn't been back. So who knows.
Pat, I often sit and look at all the photo's of that trip, between Ros and I we must have taken 800 pictures.
It is very hot outside today, My chair is under the cherry tree, so I will take the phone and door chimes down the garden with me, so if anyone calls I will hear them.
I sat in the garden till 10,30 pm down by the pond. Even though it is covered in duck weed, there was plenty of frogs jumping around and a few bats flying in the garden. Had a job sleeping last night, and feel I could have a doze later, as it's nice and quiet. But I really need to set about cleaning the windows that are in the shade. PERHAPS TOMORROW !!!!
