Thanks Ann for that e.mail address will have a look on there later. No garden project today, it's wet wet wet but have at last finished the tax return so that's one job ticked off.
Don't say your half way through winter Kim, that means we are half way through summer already :-0 Nice for your neighbour to be back in her own home, I guess you will all be keeping an eye on her. We have had a lot of TV programmes on old age here recently, the thought of going into one of those care homes fills me with dread.
Nice to get away Pat even if it was flooded, I wish one of mine would live close to the sea, I'd definitely be visiting a lot.

KIm ,I hope your neighbour Joy is able to continue living safely at home again. Fitz is doing well and is a happy lad as he is not having to worry about the pressure of having his Mum at home at the moment. She is still in hospital but at some point will be going to another place for to get her mobile again. So it will be some time before it is decided if she is able to go home or into care. My Sister is back at work now for her 3 days a week but her knee is still a very long way from being as it should.I think the strain of that ,plus the situation with the new baby and his Mummy's health is taking its toll .She sounded just worn out yesterday when I spoke to her.
Just had call to say the Alarm man can't get here this afternoon ,so it will be next Monday now. Well done Maureen for getting your Tax Return done.I know you kept putting that job off lol.
Frank what sweet little Duckies :-D :-D :-D Ahhhh! bless em .
I need a cup of tea now .Back later.

I shall have garden tables coming out my ears soon, have just found another one for collection in Ealing, that's only about 5 miles from me.
Our neighbour's house alarm went off a few years ago, I don't know how anyone can sleep through that. I can't even sleep with a clock ticking in the bedroom.
I'm off to put the straighteners on my hair, I look like a poodle, must be this damp weather. :-0

Thanks for all the birthday greetings, much appreciated. Had a nice day, lots of sunny spells and it didn't R A * N!!! Strawberry afternoon tea was very tasty, nice setting out in the countryside near Monks Kirby. Evening spent with the family, especially loved the great-grandchildren being around for a while. My eldest grandson and his wife got me a 'ice cream van ' (Mr Softee) novelty wall clock. Also a large signed limited edition print of a selection of the London Trolleybuses that ran from Aldgate to Barking/Barkingside and to my home at Chadwell Heath, which I remember travelling on very well. We had to get off at the terminus by Wangye Road and walk the rest of the way. Maybe Frank can answer this one, do you remember trolley buses going out to Fairlop? I can't, I can only remember us cycling past the old disused wartime airfield on our way up to Hainault. The picture shows a cream bus but instead of LT symbols, it looks like crests? I don't know if Barking had a municipal crest, must do some digging on the net. We came under the Borough of Dagenham.

Maureen would that be a Labrerpoddle. LOL LOL It's rained all day here so far, and a littlew earlier the wind was blowing a gale. When oh when are we going to see some decent weather. !!!!! I told you there would be other tables !!! NOW don't go ,mad and buy a load of them :-D :-D :-D
Jane, I am glad Fitz is O.K. and sorry your sisters knee is still playing up. The worry of her DIL can't be helping.
Kim, you are really trying to cheer us up, talking like that. about the seasons. I see Japan have had a terrible time in the South, also China. So we aren't the only ones. As the song says "Always look on the bright side of life"
It's STOPPED RAINING. How long for I wonder.
Ros has been ironing all afternoon, All the bedding, shirts shorts and trousers. plus her own of course. There's loads of that. !!!

No heavy rain so far today ,just mainly drizzle :-S Just finished cleaning the bathroom and en suite.Nearly asphyxiated myself with the fumes of that Viak**I had to go outside and takes breaths of clean air lol.I still need to go over the shower doors and screens again to try and clear all the limescale that I have naughtily let build up :-| :-|
It is Steak for us tonight with stuffed Mushroom,Oven Chips,Peas and the rest of our baby carrots.
I have lost a lovely silver earring .I have a horrible feeling it could be in the Dyso* :-S :-S.The thought of going through all that dust and muck!!!!.If it is dry tomorrow I will try and trawl through it all outside.I hope I find it as it is one of a pair that Fitz and his OH gave me for my 50th .....8 years ago and I wear them nearly all the time.Keep all your fingers crossed please :-D

I do hope you find your earring Jane, it's usually when you are looking for something else. I hoovered one of mine up once, they weren't that special so didn't bother getting it out.
Don't know why I bothered with my hair, have to go out soon and it's pouring with rain, almost impossible to hold an umbrella and a basket of ironing at the same time.
I am in a bit of a dilemma now with the tables, the one in Ealing is quite expensive and finishes in 2 days, the other one that is still at 99p has got 7 days to go, if I let the Ealing one go and then there are loads of bids on the other one I shall end up with none.
I have heard these knee jobs take a long time to get over Jane, wishing Janice well and hopefully she will be back to normal soon. My dad had a triple bypass years ago, he thought once he got home he would be a new man, took months for him to feel okay.
All set up now then Jane with your new e.mail address.

Maureen is the more expensive table a better quality than the other one? I would go for that one.(I sound a bit like Mrs Bouquet lol)Not that I'm posh or anything ;-).......I have a lovely Farmhouse Table and 6 chairs (Hannah's) sitting in our garage.Would you like to put a bid on that??? :-D :-D
Janice's knee has not been right since she had it done back at the end of January :-S :-S She is one of the 2% where is doesn't go as planned.I have a nasty feeling it will never be right again. She is only 53 which is too young .When I see my 90 year old neighbour skipping around after 2 knee replacements it makes me feel sad that Janice is so restricted .She is such a live wire and would normally be haring around non stop . She won't be having her second knee done in a hurry lol

Evening All,
Went to one of the city hospitals today for OH's appointment. We had a job to find any parking for the public, the old huge carpark is now all staff parking. The appointment was for 9.40am but we were there by 9.00am, hoping we might be in early. Then we waited and waited an hour and a half to be seen, even though there was only a handful of people waiting. No hot drinks machine, no restaurant, so not much fun just sitting. I started to feel like Victor Meldrew, walking about wanting to fiddle with things. A little boy of about 4 was feeling the same I think after he got bored with zooming push cars up and down......he opened a cupboard door and thought he would have a ride down the chute that was inside!!! An elderly West Indian lady sitting nearby spotted and stopped him in the nick of time......... before settling back to her book, Jesus the Miracle maker. We were just debating whether I aught to go out in the pouring rain to top up the carpark machine when we were called to a pokey, airless room that reeked of curry which I hate. The upshot is that they don't think OH has MS, but he has to have an xray and scans done to see if there is any trapping of nerves. Luckily these will be done at another hospital.
It has poured with rain all day here and puddles are forming in parts of the garden now. The local paper showed the floods where I went yesterday almost right up to the church!! Kim, I do hope your Spring and Summer are better than ours!! I hope your neighbour Joy manages to gain some strength, she must be delighted to be back at home reunited with her puss.
Most people around here scoop the poop, but get off the roads onto the public footpaths and trails and it is another matter........out of sight so why bother with some people.
I thought it was a baby shower you meant Frank.......I only knew from watching american films! lol.
That must be really annoying David, you would expect there would be a way to do it.
There's a big letter in our paper tonight about the new town they want to build at the edge of the village. It says where will the expected 12,500 cars from it go when the roads already are inadequate and they intend closing some roads off!!
The K*ndle sounds good Jane........now no-one can see what you are reading!!!!!! ;-) ;-). lol.

Have you checked down the settee for your earring Jane? My tiny Dyson clatters if there is anything metal (or a bead!) in it. I hope you find it. I lost one of my necklaces when I went to see the Andre Rieu film last week. Got home and it was gone, yet usually you feel things drop!! :-S
What a shame it was so wet for you at the weekend Pat. I bet little Mocha was worn out after all that playing with the children. The schools here have already broken up! :-(
Maureen, you know what they say about the 'bird in the hand'!! :-D Depends which you like best too.

Ubuntu Linux do not even hint at how to uninstall their product or format the HD so as to install another os.
When I went Googling to find out how to do it I found many had the same problem, and the attempted solutions aimed at people who are computer programming professionals.
I regard myself of average intelligence yet I cannot understand the supposed solutions at all.

Good News then Ann ,that MS is not likely .Sounds like you had a wonderful time waiting for the appointment lol(not) You are right that no-one can see what I am reading on the Kind**.I am almost at the end of 'that 3rd Book ;-) ;-).Then I have 2 good Murder Stories to read.Back to my normal books :-D.One good thing about reading the kindle is it doesn't put any pressure on my thumbs ,like it does with a normal book (trying to keep the book open and turning the pages at the same time). Now it is just a gentle press on a thingy on the side.
I just had a lovely little mini video thing of baby William.Taken on my Nephews phone. It is so sweet. His little eyes are still puffy (but he still shouldn't be born yet). I am now totally full to the brim .The Steak was delicious. So I am relaxing and letting it go down .Have left Chris to finish tidying up in the kitchen :-D

Morning Mel and All .Evening Kim
It's not a bad morning for a change. Some sun :-D warm :-D.I think I will get on and dehead more Roses and pull a lot more weeds. Then I will investigate the Dys** in the hunt for my earring. Ann I know it was on my Bedside unit. But I used the soft brush on the hoover to suck up the dust and think that is when it might have disappeared :-S BBL
