Have had my Egg and Bacon sarnie and three cups of tea. Now ready to do nothing for the day. :-D :-D :-D Glad I got everything done yesterday, won't feel guilty sitting around this afternoon.

Ros has gone to town to get a sweat band for Lewis. It's free in the SUN with vouchers. So we had to get it for 4 days. She will post it onto him while she's out, together with three discs of books I am sending to Jane for her Kindl#. If any one else wants them to load on the Kindl#'s let Jane know, and she can forward them to you. Please feel free to pass them to anyone who might like them .There are some very good books/authors on them. In total I think there will be around 1,000 books.

Ros keeps telling me to be carefull when I am walking in the garden, DON'T FALL OVER. !!! I said you will have to buy me one of those "FOG HORN" type things, so if I do I can give a Blast.

While clearing the garage yesterday, I came across Lewis's giant water GUN. I now have it filled,sitting in the pourch, waiting for the Bloo## CATS to come and cra# on my garden. I will give them such a surprise. "THEY DON'T LIKE IT UP THEM" Jonesy from Dads Army.

Yesterday afternoon while preparing dinner, I scraped all the tiny potatos for Ros (Labour of Love) she loves them small, !!!!!

Still raining here, but the sky is getting brighter, so we can only hope it will improve later.

And Kim I am awake.Had washing on line by 8.15 by 9.30 it was raining..Had a couple of bits to sort out here first thing..answering emails etc.|im off to work in a mo then Zumba tonight I should be on here by late evening I hope..

And Mocha enjoyed his bath yesterday as well....Hubby ended up with the soaking wet trousers when we were drying him lol

Oh dear Kim your poor neighbour , she's not really safe at home is she , i know we all want to keep in our own home for as long as we can ,but she must know she's not safe on her own .

Went into Tesco's this morning to look at the phones ,hubby needs a new one ,he couldn't make his mind up what to have ,so we came out without one ,and they say ladies carn't make their minds up !! LOL

Had a nice cuddle with little Lacey, i can see she's grown ,she's moving her head round when she hears her Mummies voice , her brother and sisters crowd round her as soon as she wakes up ,they seem to think they have to get right up close to her face LOL , DIL has told them not to , she told them you'll send her boss eyed !! :-D

I see we should be having a bit of summer over the week end , wonder how long it will last !!

James rang this morning .He has had a lovely week in Malta with some very hot weather.A couple of days it was in the 40's!.Frank you are quite right I don't like it too hot.

Well Joy didn't last long at home did she Kim.What a silly lady :-(I wonder if they will decide she is not going to be safe at home if she is not going to use her sticks.They want to keep their independence but won't do the right things to make sure they do keep it.I hope she hasn't hurt herself too badly.Her poor little cat will be a bit bemused :-S

Yes Jane, the whole situation is really stupid and now it seems one of the physios at the hospital fudged her fitness assessment to come home. Totally unprofessional and not safe either. :-| I am really annoyed as she puts her family through this all the time. She has an emergency button on a chain around her neck and didn't press it for 1/2 hour because she wanted to try and get up herself. :-S :-S :-S

Yes the cat will be upset and confused, bemused and all of the above.

Frank in answer to your question she will now be given 3 options depending on what damage she has done this time 1. come back home and BEHAVE; 2. Go into an upmarket nursing home, or 3. Go into a grotty nursing home - take your pick. That's about where the daughter is at currently.

Well I am done for now, Have pelled the potato's podded the Broad beans and peas, scraped the carrots ands shredded the cabbage. STUFFED the chicken and that sits in the oven.

Mandy, so pleased Baby is coming along, and the other children are interested. They could so easily feel their noses have been put out, will the new arrival.

The little boy next door (Miles) was in the front garden yesterday with his Mum. He is getting such a big boy (only just over 12 months) and he gabbles away to you, and has a smashing smile. He's too heavy for Ros to hold, I don't know how his mother manages, there's nothing og her. !!!

Ros isn't back yet, but what's so unusual about that. I bet she's having a nose about.

Kim, Lacey is quite dark haired ,much darker than the others they were quite fair haired , she has more at the back of her head than on the top i must get some new batteries in my camera and take some photo's next time they are here .

I feel sorry for Joy, poor old lady, it must be very hard to come to terms with not being able to do simple things like walk and have to be dependent on other people. Kim was it you asking for the birthdays and addresses, let me know if you haven't got them and I will e.mail them to you.

I tried putting the hose on cats last summer but by the time I'd got the tap on they were off down the garden. A little tip I read the other day ......... soak or spray a tea bag in some of that deep heat stuff and place them around the garden, apparently it puts the cats off, I'm going to try it, one of mine constantly poos outside right under the living room window at the front of the house.

Now you mention that Mandy about the children crowding around Lacey I have noticed other children do that.

Back from visiting Steffie(Fitz's Mother).Why are hospitals sooooo hot and stuffy. :-S :-S Phew it was a relief to get back out into the fresh air.
The sun is shining lovely now with a nice breeze so I've quickly hung out some cushion covers to dry as I couldn't put them in the Tumble D.

Mandy my earring is a dangly one.Just small.I will have to get Chris to help me pull the bed right out .I managed to shift it a couple of inches only :-.Got a big shock when I saw all the dust and fluff :-S :-S.That will be a job for tomorrow morning.

We nipped out to Norwich have a look at tiles for the kitchen and coming home the heavens opened !! :-S it was like driving in a fog !! now the suns shining again .

As for the tiles ,i've never seen tiles like it ,Bright Orange ,Lime Green ,Bright Pink !! and some that looked like they should be in a reclaim yard !!! there was some slate ones that had all the surface coming off !! lots of big tiles that you could have on the floor ,but nothing i really liked to go on the kitchen walls!

Maureen ,if i got a Bikini on the sun would certainly go in :-S :-S :-D :-D

We found the hospital hot Jane ,BIL had his window open all the time while he was in there ,and he had a fan too.

HI EVERYONE. I was banned from ther computor doctor said two times a week. here i am today.
Just been out with friend Beryl surposed to have gout could not see any Donnie had it also seems funny to me. I thought it was serious I am sure Beryl makes things up to not have to do anything.

Today we went for lunch and ordered two jacket potatoes one would assume that would not be a problem .

We sat and sat and sat until we were starving and asked a waiter where are our potatoes.he went away and fifteen minutes later came to our table and said theres your 2 tatas. He then walked off .Beryl and I looked
amazed we had ordered Sour cream and chive and got baked bean and grated cheese.

Beryl called the waiter she said hey mate we wanted sour cream and chives not bakerd beans and cheese. The waiter looked and said oh sorry we are out of sour cream and chive Beryl said we have been here
nearly an hour and then we get the wrong potatoes. So she asked for the manager and after my problem last week with the little boy and the chips I wanted to keep out of it.

Along came the manager and Beryl gave her complaint the manager said
well madam we do not have your filling it is beans and cheese or nothing.
such a fuss over two potatoes Oh that did it Beryl said if you do not refund our money I will give you a kick //in th//e ta/ta//s I mean it. We were in a country inn sat by the bar where you give your order and pay first.
The manager said we do not refund money with that Beryl picked up her potatoe and threw it at him.
Meanwhile I walked across to the bar and said I think this needs reporting to the person who owns this pub i would like my 4 pound fifty back. The guy opened the cash register and gave me my money.
Beryl was now being told she could have her money but was banned from the pub.the local boozers found it very funny.

We drove somewhere else and had steak and chips very nice but my friend refused to speak to me.

I came home Beryl said see you next week and I said if you do not mind will leave it.I am off lunch with friends. Annie is ok we had a lovely meal in stratford upon avon on Sunday.

Poo joy kim my mum had a button to press in an emergency she used it like a doorbell press press press all the while. I think the ambulance men got fed up of streaking up her road. .

It was raining this moring but now is sunny but clouding over.


I fell over a cat yesterday it was hiding in the long grass to catch a bird and fell asleep I walked down my mates garden grass up a foot at least
and fell over pussy flat on my face .it ran off do not know who was more scared me or puss.

Well will go have to ring April she was in trouble again it seems she
ate a whole box of strawberries and had tummy ache for two days and missed an important history exam. the teacher asked April who is lord Nelson. April replied he was in the navy he had one eye and a parrot on his shoulder. and went round shouting wow now my hearties. She caused the whole glass to collaspe with laughter but Mr Fassbender was not amused and said she must read upon the battle of Waterloo .
She said goodbye grannie i am dreally drega dated.
will ask her what it means one day.

shirl told me it was very hot and had to go shopping.
Hope it does improve a bit my dogs getting bad achy feet.

Mandy Fitz's Mum was ok.In fact she was very calm and relaxed.(could be something to do with medication ;-)She was really on the ball ,but kept talking about her dead husband as though he was there.She will be moved to a rehab place as soon as there is a spare bed I think.So Fitz has a fair while to stay relaxed lol.I had to laugh as all the ladies in her 6 bed ward were wearing the same nighties.(hospital ones).She ate a whole yoghurt and a Cracker and bit of Cheddar Cheese while I was there..She is certainly a fair bit frailer than the last time I saw her.But we did get a few laughs out of her.I was trying her 4711 cologne .Goodness that brought back a few memories of my Nana.It wasn't the stick .It was a bottle.So I sprinkled some on some tissues for her which she held.
Chris has just walked in so better go and say hello Hubby :-D

Evening All,

We had a MONSOON while we were out this morning.......had to sit in the car till it bated a bit, it was running from the side roads like a brook!

Nothing seems to go to plan! We took the car in this morning for the work on the aircon to be done only for OH to be told they hadn't got the parts in and that they would do it tomorrow!!!! :-| Also he would have to leave the car there as they would have to strip it to get the parts urgently for tomorrow!! OH told them that wasn't acceptable and if they couldn't do the work today he would take the car and bring it tomorrow. The end result was that the receptionist and OH went to see the manager. The girl started the same discussion with him, but he stopped her in her tracks by saying that the problems she was talking about were not the fault of the customer, were internal and nothing to do with the customer and it was for them to resolve those. He apologised to OH for there being a problem at all and said there was no reason at all why he couldn't take the car and bring it in tomorrow!! :-D Poor service but good attitude from the manager! :-D

Oh no Kim, just what you thought might happen with Joy too. The poor thing ....sounds like it was a really nasty fall. Like you say, it is the same with the in laws, once they decide to do something, they won't wait!! Sometimes I think it is more being cussed and impatient than independent. She will end up with no choices at all at this rate. It must be such a worry for her family.

Frank, if you get one of those BOGOF offers on the foghorns I'll have one for OH. I swear he doesn't listen rather than not hear!! :-S As soon as you said about finding the water gun I knew the cats better watch out. lol ;-)

Mel, we always go out if at a loose end........David's idea was good, especially if it saved you cooking tonight!

Jane have you had a good look inside the empty washing machine for your earring? It may have dropped on some clothing you have since put in there, I have found all sorts of odds and ends in the drum at times! Don't mention dust under the bed......mine needs pulling out too!! :-S

My word, Shirl is the one with bikini weather then! ;-) Phew, too hot for me as well, but a day of it would be ok, a change from all the wet here. I called to see the bead lady at Coalville this morning and she said she had never known so many things to be cancelled due to the weather. So disappointing for the organisers and not good for the charity events either.

Oh heck Sheila, Beryl isn't a quiet complainer is she!! lol. I would be trying to pretend she wasn't with me!! lol.

Maureen, the first thing I did was look for one of those dispensers, but couldn't see one. At one of the other hospitals they are at the entrance doors as well.

Good that Lacey is doing well Mandy.......can just picture the others craning over her........yes, get a pic for us when you can.

Major Thunderstorm going on here...............Sheesh ! I was just sat under the Gazebo talking to my sister on the phone and it came from nowhere.I have just run 3 feet to get back indoors and am drenched :-S :-S.I think there is some hail too.

I rang Fiona ,and she is not brilliant .Headaches and awful tiredness still going on.She has an appointment on August 1st with Dr.She has seen Maureens wedding pics (loves them).She sends her love to everyone and says thanks for thinking of her and she wants to get back as soon as she can .I asked her to just keep in touch,

Jane we have had that "STORM" for over an hour. T.V. signal keeps going off, Hail stones, thunder, and rain like I haven't seen for years. Over to the west the sun is shining, overhead and all around, it's as black as your hat.
I think it's heading south, so watch out. !!!!

This Baby Shower that Ros ans Jan are going to on Saturday. is from 12.00 to 3.00pm. Julia and Lara have asked Ros to take all her Jewellery with her, as there will be about 20 girls there who might be interester in buying. She has been working like mad making Necklaces, earings, braclets. She will have a good assortment. I have told her to price everything up on the labels I bought her. That way she won't be under priceing things. She has almost run out of beads, so I will be on Ebay finding more for her, to restock.

Shelia, Be carefull that don't ban you along with your mate. I can understand how she felt, I think I might have had a barny also. Where is that thing "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION" Was the pub part of a chain ?? if so she or you should write to head office and complain. You might well end up with FREE MEALS. !!!!

Ann, You are certainlt getting the run around by your garage. You would think they would bend over backwards for the business. You wonder how they stay in business, with that attitude.
