Hi Ladies
Sorry to be so late getting back to you all. The phone has not stopped. Hubby has done half the calls as I still loose my breath.

Well I am not in too bad shape after all !!! I saw my specialist and he confirmed the Dr's diagnosis. I have a condition called Sarcoidosis. It is inflamation in the lymph glands of the lungs. Just keep taking pain relief and it will clear on it's own, in time. I have to see him again in 2 months and have a further x ray to make sure it is improving. I am to do as much as I feel comfortable with and then rest. I can go away but mustn't sit in the sun for too long???? Possible Vit D increases calcium in the blood.

Finishing this after my brother has been to see me he drove over from Hillingdon in London nearly 30 miles away.

if im right i only have 19 more question to do and carnt what till im finish to get my life back doing level 2 and 3 in a row is to much.

well Linda at least you can put your mind at rest now you know what it is alsorts of things go through you head when you dont have any idea at what may be wrong with you. so do as your told and dont be a naughy girl and over do things.
But I am pleased you have had good results.
you said you brother drove over from Hillingdon thats where my son lived till he seperated from his wife and she and the one son and one daughter still live there. you also if I recall have someone living in Hayes ? thats where my daughter lives who I go and stay with.
I wondered if we have passed like ships in the night.

I have been fairly busy over the last couple of days, getting ready for a committee meeting tonight, so not been able to get here.
More snow due tomorrow, although I don't think it will be as bad as the last few weeks???

It's freezing today and we've got fog as well.

I have to go out food shopping - I'm not looking forward to driving in freezing fog.

Linda, you must be relieved that it wasn't anything more serious, I can imagine what you must have been thinking it was. I've never heard of Sarcoidosis, is it like a chest infection? Anyway do as the doctor said and take it easy till you get your strength back.

I am walking much better and yes I did go out today and got some shopping bit tired aftewards as I draged my trolley and left the walking stick at home as could not use that and pull the trolley at the same time

Yes I am but as I'm the Secretary I have to do it at an AGM which is mid February. This is the last meeting before our show which is the same day as AGM....then as Paul Inman would say 'I'm free'!!! lol

To be honest I have not got a clue what it is,I suppose it would be best to google it.

It was quite foggy here all day today. I was petrified driving in it,I had to drive Roly back from the eye hospital,because he had to have drops put in his eyes,and was not allowed to drive. I am a nervous driver at the best off times,but it was a nightmare for me.
I had to change my undies when I got home.lol

De-Havilands. From what I have read on his threads,he has had a lot to do with aircraft renovation,so he may be able to point you in the right direction.

Hi Mo and other ladies who want to know:
Well this al started with a mark on my left shin, which looked like a bite. I was worried as my ankle was swelling that it might over Christmas develop into cellulittis(swollen hot skin infection) So a doctor gave me antibiotics to take if it got worse or didn't improve. By the Sunday it was worse but not inflammed.
So I took the week of pills. By Monday4th Jan after more Bank Hols my ankles were worse the mark on my leg bigger and tender. I was also coughing and wheezing and had pains under and across my chest.
So I returned to my own Doctor who I never see !! He diagnosed a skin inflamation called ERYTHEMA NODOSUM. Which is bacterial, sometimes with a strep throat(which I didn't have). He checked my breathing and asked that I had an x-ray. Then some blood tests too.
The x-ray showed the lymph glands were inflamed in my chest either side of the main arteries from the heart.
I then was able to see the consultant at the private hospital in Windsor on Monday. He diagnosed this condition called SARCOIDOSIS. I have to take pain relief for the chest and foot pains.But no other treatmant, yet. It is an illness that goes on its own , maybe after several months. If I was more breathless or the leg more painful they can give steroids, but they have side effects, so prefer not to.

I go back for more x-rays in eight weeks and to check if I am improving.
Thats about it in a nutshell. It is not contagious. Lots is known about it but not why some people get it and not others............... something to do with your immune system. But what caused it in me wouldn't cause it in Tony or others too.

Hope that explains it a bit.

So I am to do as much as I can but stop when I am puffing or wheezing.

I googled for a diagnosis,and I was so surprised when I saw the symptoms. Especially when I read the bit about the ankle swelling,and the cellulitus,as you had already described that you had those symptoms
a little while ago.
As long as you do as you are told,and rest as much as possible. Please take it easy,and leave things to your OH for a while.

Good grief Shelly,what did you do,wave a magic wand and it was done.
Painting wont take you long at this rate.

Well I know more now about you problem you did explain it very well. I take steriods for PMR and have had them for four years now they have cut them down by half.but I dont like taking them.

Nearly time for East Enders. they are dragging that out I see they have got again within a week the Slumdog Millionairef ilm it is on Sunday.

mo bedroom is very small only take 5 rolls of paper i say 5 rolls cos its only 4 rolls and a stip of the 5th rolls

Mac is so kind he answered in a matter of minutes he couldnt answer The Whistling Kettle bit but has gven me lots of informtion and told me all about the Whitlle guy who designed the engines it was where Army johnson worked as a helper machanic so she got free flying lessons it was the first De Havilands I told him Dad had said it started as Sheds. . That guy is a mind of information on Aircarft I told him I had seen the first old bus at the science museum that was the Willesden Bus and Dad had been on that it was one with a sprial staircase open top , I said I had also been to the Hendon Flying Museum as well I go there quiet a lot and take loads of photographs they are all on my computer he has given me the De Havilland Museum address so i will get intouch with them next and see what comes up,. he asked to let him know and I promised.I would
such a nice man.
