Just a quick hello, been catching up with the posts

OH has been at home cos of the snow and has been hogging the PC to do his work. Son went to school Tuesday but has been off since.

My pony is wrapped up warm in her stable with lots of hay, she didn't go out in the field on Wednesday but she went out for a couple of hours today. The yard is about six miles from me, usually takes about io minutes to drive there but taking half hour now, I have to leave my car in the pub carpark then walk down the hill to the farm, wouldn't get back up the hill in the car.

I watched Silent Witness tonight Lady and I remember the sketch, so funny. There's another comedy program that did a take off, more recent but can't remember what it was called

My friend came here from Cyprus she lived out there 10 years but when her mother died she thought she would come back to England she is happy now she has her little flat. Her parents were in the RAF her father was a Pilot. she brought me some lovely photo's of the Red Arrows as they did their training out there . she still has her sister living there miles from anywhere I think she takes people suba diving during the summer months.
Hope you get off OK and have a lovely time
I am going to have a cup of tea now and a little bit of toast.
I cancelled my blood test yesterday and have an appointment for next Thursday instead..

Hello ladies
No change here still lots of snow. Won't be going very far. Managed some knitting again last night.
Trying to hide all the bits for Christmas back upstairs but finding breathing hard going up and downstairs.
Noresults back from Drs yet Just rang and things are delayed anyway. So will ring again on Monday.
Had a long phone call from my youngest sister in the middle of typing this. She's OK Schools are closed in Middlesex so she is writing reports. Mum and Dad aren't so good. Dad has severe pain possibly from kidneys we thought it was his gall bladder but maybe not, he won't leave Mum to get it sorted. Mum's sciatica is no better and she can't sleep so both are suffering that too.

Oh well try to get back on later.

We've still got loads of snow and ice as well Linda, think I might move in to Marilyn's while she's away. Better yet.......I'll go away with her.

Berkshire seems to be getting what we've had for the last 3 weeks, hope you've got plenty of food in Linda.

This site seems to be acting itself today, it won't let me stay on 'Last Reply', it keeps going back to the first page.

The outside of my house looks like I've got those Christmas icicle lights all around it. It's quite a sight to see, wish I'd bought a new camera before Christmas - I was waiting for the sales. Probably missed them all now.

Took photos of our icicles earlier. Never seen them like this down here that I remember. Really pretty actually.
Took a photo of a neighbours house as they have them all along their guttering. They are away in Australia !!! Looks like you wouldn't need the artificial lights people put up !!!

I heard this morning of an accident with a car the man was driving along and went pass a large house with a overhang and an iclcle droped down and smashed his windscreen

I suppose we will get more of this when the defrosting starts.

Well I did brave it and go to work today. The first half of my journey is main road but the second half is country road & it wasn't nice, I did 10-12 miles an hour. I felt at that spead, should I slide it would do very little damage. My journey usually takes maximum of 20 mins & it took 30 mins today so for that extra 10 mins I got there & back safely.

I will be thinking of your Granddaughter and Nephew next week and say a little prayer they will come through it all quickly .
I have not been out I have pains in my hands and my arms and knee I think the cold weather has caught up with me I have taken a couple of pain killers so I can get about a bit.
My sister sent me an email she is thinking of getting Dads Memories as a child 1908-2001 published into a book it will depend on how much and how long it will take to do it. The Musuem is still reading through it and pleased with what they have read so far.she has it on a Disc.

I have already decided that I will not be going to my weekend job which is half a mile further up the road than my week day job. Particularly as it will be early & later than today. I just do not want to do that route in the dark in this weather.

I told my son not to come this morning or today as it is too dangerous on the roads thick black ice even with his 4x4 he was the only one who could get into his firms car-park yesterday .he said I managed to drive in and drive out without trouble .
so all you f riends take great care today make sure you keep warm .
