Hi everybody, we've got sunshine and the icicles are starting to melt. If we can get another few days like this - some of the snow on the road might melt.

Rita, you've got loads going on with your tree now, sounds great - good luck. Shame about Absalom though, I was hoping you'd get a lead on him. Someone somewhere must know what happened to him.

Hi Went for a short drive locally this lunchtime. Once off our estate not too bad the main roads have slushed. Hope it doesn't freeze again tonight, it will be like a skating rink.
Out near M&S saw a lorry with a plough and it was gritting too.
Then a lorry came round with 2 men spreading grit manually down the biggest road on the estate. Not the smaller ones unfortunately. Wonder if that is because it's refuse day tomorrow?

Finished that bit of knitting just need to sew it up this evening.

Be back later

Linda :o) XxX

Anyone want a headche ? I have had two phones calls from a brother in Law and from a sister in Law asking me when I am going to do their family tree;s I promised them. I joined that writing group but have told them to give ma a little time before I start on that as I have to do these two trees and finish a few other things then I will be free and have time to think what to write.
My son came and took me shopping to Waitrose he brought the car right up to the path as it is a sheet of ice on-top o the snow. The shop was not as full as I expected but the shelves were half empty people must have been buying and stocking up.but I got all I needed. so I am Ok now for a couple of weeks .
Marilyn I hope you have a lovely holiday and have a good journey to and from Cyprus

Hi everybody.

We've had the snow plough along our road today, now we just have to hope the ice melts. With a bit of luck we might be able to get out by Wednesday - unless it snows again!!

Linda, you don't have a lot of luck do you? Let's hope you get good results from your tests when they take them again.

Mo, it takes me ages to read my emails some days, I don't send them all on because some of them aren't very good, and some of them I've had 3 or 4 times before.

I hope Marilyn sends us some sun in the post. She really needs this holiday ............believe me!!

Shelly and Rita are both working too hard, take a break you two.

Hope Lady and Sue both got through the snow OK.

Hi All
Well hubby is going into work late tomorrow so he can take me to Drs. The last pick up they have now is by 1:00 in the afternoon while we have bad weather.
Yep checked the website & the refuse men are on gritting duties !!! So no collection this week at all. Then next week we'll see. Recycling will be garden green stuff....................... don't know anybody who has been able to dig their plot or prune their roses? But our cardboard/paper and plastic/ tins collection will be done in 2 weeks and was last done before christmas, about 5or 6 weeks ago by the time they collect. How much will go in ordinary rubbish and not recycling I wonder.

Well I spoke to the Dr and I have an inflammation in my lungs and am being refered to the specialist chest clinic. Do nothing by halves me. Just have to wait for the blood results now. And a clinic appointment.
Be back later

Thank you Pauline for that I have another link in my Grandfather family Samuel Bowditch in Dorset and I am trying to find out more about him and I got his details but could not get to the bit where it tells you where he work and what the other members of the family did. and his road etc. I got really annoyed about that.
so I can take a look tomorrw.

Thank you.

I am still chuckling over the Scot and his hanging decorations. as I have scotish people in my family including my Grandmother l dare not send it to any of her family.
