IVE HAD a lay in at last but gotta work today & tomorrow,trying to catch up!
farmer came in wiv huge hay & straw delivery yesterday! so nags ok for a bit!

Morning Linda hope you are keeping as well as you can in this horrible weather.
Sue you have run out of milk by the look of those cups or milk one or the other.or left the rest of the cups in the sink soaking instead of washing them up. Lol

I have family for dinner today so I have to get cracking and peel the spuds... etc...

The sun is shinning here,but I must admit it is cold.

Just seen a couple out walking across the field,but are well wrapped up.
Don't know how you do it Sue seeing to them horses in this weather, but someone has to I know.

I am so pleased I made the decision not to go to work today(or tomorrow), it is bitterly cold here now, as the sun has gone back in for the day & it's getting windy!!!
I did brave going to the shops to stock up on Chocolate, it was busy & people were parking all over the place as they couldn't see the white lines of the parking spaces.

Sue I have been looking at my tree and manged to get onto it OK today for a change.
MY gout is coming back my hand is starting to swell so I will phone moday and ask if they can get a perscription to the chemist for meI can get someone to collect it then if the weather is still bad.
I am pleased I did my pastry this morning before this happend a lovely apple pie and 6 jam ttarts.

Think I have managed to get further on one of Grandfathers sisters she it appears remarried after she became a widow.
so I have another branch to look for.

I do admire you for cooking so much as normally a person on their own don't bother.
My eldest sister is a widow, is an example she just does not eat properly ...I keep telling her to cook a casserole have half then freeze the other half.
It falls on deaf ears.......

No wonder she is slim...LOL

Didn't know you were a darts fan Marilyn, do you play? Mo might let you into her team if you can.

Mo, it's even worse here than it was, we had loads more snow last night, it's going over the top of my wellies now. It seems dry and powdery, not like the snow we usually get. The icicles are fantastic to look at, masses of them all around the house, some of them are about 18 inches long.

whippet Lady I only made 6 thats because I mixed too much pastry and didnt want to waste it
I usually make 12 cakes once a week but today I thought I would use a tin of apple s and make an apple pie instead. if i feel up to it I might make some small cakes tomorrow.
The thing is at the moment I have so much to do i have to do my husbands family tree for one of my sister in Laws and that is a bit compleicated.
Then I am writing Dads things up to finish that off. as well as my one I am still ploughing through that as I have a long way to catch up to date. then I found a new branch of my Grandfather family tree one of his sisters which has come up today and I am intouch with her son so we are looking forward to finding out things that either of us have and the other has not I am so excited about it he is the part of the family that Absalom came from the one I have missing so he might know what happened to him as his Mother lived longer than my Grandfather she died in
1965 and her daughter in 1973 .
anyway time for me to say bye for now.

I have just joined the writers group. thought I would give it a try. I have a lot on at the moment but it will give me an added interest when I clear some of this stuff up.

Still solid snow outside. Feels like we're going to be indoors for ever. Have to ring Dr tomorrow again so I might have to go there, very carefully. Hubby back to work tomorrow, so long as we get no more snow overnight........................... rear wheel drive.
More research yesterday for DIL getting somewhere.
More knitting too nearly done the sleeves, then sew it together. When it will get to the baby goodness only knows.

Morning all we didnt get the snow last night I suppose we will get it tonight instead.
I am so pleased with the new member of the family I got all because I put a thread out for help in finding someone in the fa mily I was given a name and she got intouch with one of my family the Grandson gave her his email to give to me and I emailed him and now I have so much stuff coming through things I never knew. I am thrilled to bits. I have now even a french man in the family and found my Grandfathers brothers children and his sisters and they are still in touch with the person I am emailing,
But he doesnt know what happened to Absalom either .
I am going to do some researching today now I have other names . I have prepared the dinner so will not have to stop to do that..
I hope you all have not had heavy snow during the night and hope you have a very nice day.

Its freezing today, we had a flurry of snow this morning .

Got all heating on......logs burning away.

Nearly ready to go..LOL
