Hi Everyone,

Rita that's a lovely Idea to send your son his cards ....I'm sure he will be surprised to see them after all these years.
I'm sure I have all sorts of things in the loft from my sons school days, like swimming badges etc etc....
But what I have got are all my letters sent & received from my courting days to my hubby when he was in the Navy ......One day I am going to read them all ,and probably die of embarrassment, as we said such intimate and silly things when we were young , so I have better have a stiff whiskey or a bottle of wine first before I ever attempt to read them ..LOL

I have just got home from the town, last minuet prezzies for my grand kids and surprising enough it was quiet !! So we got served in ARG*S really quickly and back home in no time.

Yesterday I was in mourning .....my friend that I went to school with died of cancer.....so sad I used to sit with her in class, she was lovely only 65yrs.
so a funeral next week ..

Got to get cracking have granddaughter coming to sleep and have to hide all presents.

Morning Rita and everyone else too

Been searching again this morning.

Had a lovely time at the panto........................... oh yes I did !!! The children seemed to love it too, other's not my own .
After we went to a Beefeater for a meal. Really nice, I had fish. Good service and we hadn't booked.

Off to do the ironing

Linda
glad you had a good time yesterday at the Panto it is years since I went we use to go every year to the one in the west end I had an uncle who use to give Mum money to buy tickets for us to go to the Palliudium or another theatre there was two adults and 6 children. if we didnt go to the panto we went to a circus indoor I think it was held at Olympia but not sure it was a long time ago. I could not get my Hi Fi to play my CD this morning so looked for the instructions I keep all these in the drawer of the TV stand I found them and also a brown evelope which said TV insurance when I looked it was to cover my TV for four years so it will run out in December 2012 I had forgotten I had it. so I have made a note of it now. I wonder how many more things I have laying aout like that.

I had the Grand kids sleep the night now I have just released them to their rightful owners !!

Sue I am glad he wasnt your horse but it is such a shame your friend will be very upset if anything goes wrong. my friend in Devon was devstated when she lost her horse she didnt get another one she said she could not go through that again she uses her daughter horse when she wants to ride or goes the the stables and takes one of her friend horse out for a trot.

well time for my dinner I am having it early so I can do some work afterwrads.

Love Ritax

Marilyn, I'm sorry to hear about your friend, it's so sad.

Shelly is the work you have to do for level 2 or 3?

I've got a lot to do today, so I'd better get a move on.

Catch you all later.

Hi Everyone,

Well although there were too many Hooray Henry's there and I can and do compete with them....I would much prefer simple ordinary folk to have lunch with .
I do hate it when people try to outdo others of what property they own and when they were Captain of the ship ........back in the good old days and what their offspring's are earning etc etc .. ..LOL
So I kept my mouth reasonably closed except for eating and drinking
purposes !! LOL
Having said that , the food was excellent & so the drinks !
it was just the Hooray Henry's that got to me just a bit ......!!

Now I'm back I might just fall asleep ....having had my first taste of wine in 3 months ..

Back later. xx

we use to call it keeping up with the jones family (No idea why Jones family ) but when I lived in Ealing ev eryone use to try and out do the other neighbour one brought a washing machine the next door person brought a washer /dryer the one after that would buy a much dearer one and so on one held a party everyone was invited and the next person had a bigger party it was always like that except for my husband and myself it use to drive us mad,
One of my friends who was quiet high up in her job earned a lot of money dressed with named clothes . came unstuck with me she had this party and had a lovely house black carperts and white walls that sort of thing she had her wine in bottles with top names I found her pouring cheap wine into these bottles once , her food stuff came from Harrods well she had their bags about but they didnt they came from tesco's she was red faced when I walked in and caught her doing this. I said to her I thought it was a cheap wine. I am sure the others must have noticed but didnt say anything I cannot understand why people do this,
