FRANK I am not going anywhere near that pump with a screwdriver .We pay enough a year for it all to be taken care of ,however many times we have to call BG out. There is a dial on the pump where you can turn it to 3 different speeds, but I know if I were to turn it down it would probably go off .I seem to recall some time ago when we had the same problem the engineer said just leave it and it will eventually just fail.It is a right pain in the backside ,but something that will happen over and over again, due to the complicated pipework we have :-S :-S :-SAs long as we keep paying the yearly cover "Gold Star' or whatever it's called we will be fine.

Brrrrrrrrr!! It is cold out there now. Sensible Sheila not to go carol singing......stay in the warm.
Don't worry Mel, it is easy to miss or forget something in a post anyway......and you have had your hands ful lately!! I know how frustrating it can be having to stay in waiting for workmen. Often companies use subcontractors and it is hard to get things co-ordinated. I'm glad the little fish all survived. Are they still brown or are they changing colour now?
Kim, I loved the Charity Shop email.......OH burst out laughing at that too.
Pat, I was in tucks of laughter at your Minnie Mouse outfit!!! lol All you needed was a spotted bow in your hair!! lol It is amazing the pickles we get into at times isn't it. Thank goodness we have cars to change in!! I have changed my trousers in the passenger seat on a motorway before now thinking no-one could see..........till a big lorry pulled up alongside and got a birds eye view!!
Jane, I can just picture your sister with her holey tights. I bet she was worried she'd put a thumb through the new ones getting them on too!!

Jane, I would insist theat BG get your heating sorted. You can't go through the winter like that.
What time do you want me over to clean the cooker. My rates aren't that bad :-) :-)
Conrad's Jan, Thinks peas are the worst veg every invented, she won't have them on her plate. I love them straight from the pods. in boilded water with fresh mint. Roll on the summer. <3 <3 <3
How is everyone with the snow. ??? we are expecting more this weekend.
Harvey's step daughter is off to visit her MIL in Spain over christmas, they go on Monday. Harvey and Julia are doing a MINI-Christmas for them on Sunday. and then bring Lewis up in the evening. I said to Ros it wasn't fair that one of them wouldn't be able to have a drink, and drive up here. So being a good old boy, I rang Harvey and said we will meet him Monday morning and pick up Lewis. He said it will have to be AT EIGHT O'CLOCK as he has to be on a job at 8.30am. Trust me to open my big mouth. !!!! I said to ROS you can go, I will stay and get breakfast. NO you don't, you can direct me !!!!
I suppose you early birds will be thinking of going up the apple and pears, so will say night night, see you in the morning.

That'll teach you Frank..........early start for you now........hope there is no snow in the morning!! I like peas in any form, fresh with mint best, but mushy or marrowfat are ok too.
Thank you, Jane, I think we got the top section on slightly wrong this year, but I'm not changing it now!! Not quite the same as a real tree like yours though......is the pine scent coming through now? I will put my fat little fairy on tomorrow, when I do a bit of 'tweaking'. I could never be one of those people who have all new tree decs every year......too much hard work!!
We saw the prettiest little outdoor xmas tree at someone's house we passed today. It was covered in pretty orange twinkling lights, like a burning bush.

Morning All,
Sunny here this morning but still very cold outside.
Ann the four shubunkins were coloured from the start but the others are still silver underneath and brownish on top.
My fingers are so rough and sore after all the posies and wirering I have done over the past week or so and they have also gone all rough on the backs which usually means the weather is going to stay frosty and cold.

Morning All,
OH has gone now, so I might get his pressies wrapped while he's at footie!! No peeping eyes to look out for!! :-)
Hope your knee and leg are a bit better Mel.......I bet you will get a rainbow bruise on that knee. I never realised Shubunkins had colour when they were tiny, I assumed they would get their colour when older like ordinary goldfish. They sound very healthy now and will be nice and strong by the time they go outside next year.
Shirl, I bet your home made mince pies soon vanished with those monsters of yours! I sometimes make a few, but not this year.........well OH starts eating them in November!!! I wonder what the banana jam will be like?
Maureen, the postman has just brought your card and I love it!!! I love how you have placed the trees in the snowy scene, so natural........another one I shall keep, thank you. :-) :-)
I better get a move on and do a few errands now, then back to being a busy bee to clean the kitchen and get ready for tomorrow's visitors.

GOOD DAY Thank you for all your good wishes on here and merry christmas to you all and a very happy new year.
I am nervous of going to the States the strange country and the new home is beautiful but very remote and away from everything and the bedroom floor is a shambles with such an expensive property one would have thought they would have laid down a new floor before we moved into the property The rent is very high . With a small baby and my active daughter I wonder if I shall cope. I am very lucky to have met a very hard working man who cares for myself and the children and Mat would have been so proud of his friend. My friendship is turning to love which is wonderful I thought after my darling Matty died I would never love again it broke my heart. Little Matty looks just like his daddy without the hermit beard
I worry about my mother I admire her so much she works hard and dad takes her for granted bless him. I think she does care that some of you have been so kind and sent her cards and taken interest in whats going on. Mother says she bores you all to death and is convinced she repeats things over and over again. I think it helps unloading her problems and believe me mums had so many this last couple of years. I hope when we have gone next year she can make sometime for herself. The charity work she should give up sometimes people take her for granted and say unkind things when she does not go and help out.
Amanda April loved the picture of your grandchilren visiting father christmas Chelsea is pretty and it reminded me of going to see father christmas and having to sit on his knee. I hated that and screamed my head off so much that the poor man ended up giving me three presents to shut me up and then I wanted to go and see him again.
Best wishes everyone from Jess ,Ryan April and Matthew .

Afternoon everyone,
We decided to put some Christmas lights round in the conservatory , it was the same old story ,working before we put them up ,then some not working once they were up !!!!! We had plenty of spare bulbs so there was hubby up the steps using a few ....well more than a few choice words ,but at least they are all working now
Another busy morning doing all sorts , hubby wanted some more loft insulation from Hom*base ,so we've been there this morning as well as calling into see son , while we were there we had a little snow ,it hasn't laid as its so wet under foot .
We're off to sisters this afternoon ,then we won't turn out tonight in the cold and frost .
Maureen , thank you for your card , the little ones will love the snowman .
Merry Christmas to you and your family Jess, i'am sure its going to feel strange for you living in a new country ,but you'll soon make friends and settle into your new life ,and it looks a lovely place to live . I think we all look forward to hearing the stories from your mum especially the tales of Beryl and Donnie , i wonder if they are back from their travels yet .
Frank, perhaps you should have left Ros's presents and got Lewis to help you next week , or would he let slip to Ros what you've bought :-) :-)
Right better get on ,another lot of washing has now finished so better get that out ,and then i want to make a sponge before we go out .
