Afternoon All,
Wel, we picked the parcel up and did a shop so I have everything I need for Sunday tea for MIL. Have finished decorating the tree and twig and there are just a few more bits to put out and it will be done. The socks I knitted last xmas are hanging up in the hall and OH loves them!! :-) My back and knees are playing up now so I'm having a break. OH is freezing poor soul as there is no heat on......I get too hot when I'm busy!! Maybe that's why he suggested we have a pub lunch later, I'm not arguing though!!
Thanks for the photos Sheila. It is a lovely place, my sort of style, I would love it.
Mel, OH would love your cake with just marzipan on!! I hope your knee is soon better and that the moss has now gone!
Well, better get on, tempus fugit and all that!

Phew! I need a little sit down now after a few hours ironing.Got there in the end Pat :-),but I haven't finished yet.All the main things are done so will put the iron away now and maybe finish off tomorrow.
I had a nice old Blether with my friend over coffee at Waitr*** .I haven't seen her since October.Bought a couple of scrummy looking desserts for the freezer.
I have one scar on my knee from going over the handles of my scooter when I was 5.Poor Hannah has awful scars on both her knees. She went through a spell of always tripping up.The worst time was when we were in France on holiday and she ripped a massive flap of skin on one knee.Luckily Chris has his little emergency first aid kit with saline washes, needles stitches etc.So it saved a trip to the hospital. But rather spoiled the rest of the hols for Hannah. :-S
I suppose I had better start doing some potatoes and veg ready for later, but first ,put all this ironing away.

Mel seeing your comment about a man changing in the car..reminded me of what happened to me yesterday.
I was wearing thick black tights and a skirt My ankle was hurting me being flat so I put an old pair of white shoes on in the house.. Forgot to change into my black ones when I went shopping in the car.. Too far away from home to turn back so I wasent go to look like Min nie Mouse so when I got to the c ar park I had to try and take my tights off in the car..Both sides of us the cars were comming and going..We couldnt stop laughing..Alan said theres a police van in the row behind us...Which made me laugh more.. :-)

Pat I remember when we were all travelling down to Plymouth for a relatives funeral and my sister realised she had a massive hole in her tights.Luckily she did have a spare pair. But you should have seen her trying to change them in the car as we were going down the M5 with a car full of us.It was absolutely hillarious :-D.We were all in tears .No -one would have believed we were on our way to a funeral :-S
I think I will be getting B Gas out again. :-| :-|.The pump in the airing cupboard will not switch off once the heating has gone off and it has been running for days.Have noticed that the radiators are not as hot as they should be,so I'm guessing the pump is not working properly.I dare not switch it off as I doubt it would start up again and we don't want to be without heating. We aren't half going through our logs too.I am hoping they will last over the Xmas.Don't really want to order another load just yet :-S

I can just imagine how pi**ed off you both are.

I have just thought!!!
Ann you sked about my little baby fish the other day. They are doing fine and growing since being in the tank. I think they stand a good chance of making it back to the pond next year. Still got all 20. One of the shubunkins went a bit funny and unbalanced and oh said it would'nt make it and to take it out, but I did'nt take any notice of him and now it is ok again much to his disgust!!! :-P
Hew did give me some of his special medi pellets which I still have some of and they get at least one of those a day.
Thanks for asking and sorry I did'nt reply before but with all this upsrt about getting the panels on the roof it completely went out of my mind.

Just had a request to go and sing carols at the end of the road in the rain to raise money for an old peoples home from a friend I said no thank you done my bit for charity you should see the weather its raining cats and dogs. Off went this lady saying you will be old one day i said dont worry I am old now thats why I am staying put here.
Well a lot of people of had problems. Everyones been in shop saying someones died or they have lost a business.
I once put two pairs of tights on to go to the pictures when I got there my legs got so hot and were itching so I bent down and removed a pair when suddenly the advertising came on and then the lights went up there was me balancing on one foot with my feet stuck in one leg michelle was saying mum sit down I said I cant I am stuck. I did free myself with people looking at me around us. I just pulled them up again and went to the toilet to remove them.
Pat that was funny about the white shoes. Ryans arrived home from the states .Mohsens had his op and got home 10 minutes ago he looked awful and his foot was in plaster.
Glad the inverter arrived Mel what is it ..Well mat is crying I feel guilty not singing now but never mind I cannot do everything. I came on here out of the shop to make myself feel better.

Evening everyone,
What a nasty old day its been ,so dark all day ,and we've had a little sleet this afternoon. There has been a nasty accident this afternoon between two cars on the A47 it has been closed and all the traffic has been coming through the town , son came this afternoon and it took him half an hour to get home ,it normally only takes him five minutes !!!
Sheila , thanks for the photo's ,it looks a lovely place to live ,what lovely views of the sea ,i would love to wake up to that view in the morning .
I remember when little i was always scraping my knees !!! i used to walk into the lamp posts too, because i was always looking behind and not were i was going !!! :-) :-) love this face with the santa hat :-) :-) I also remember son having a skate board and falling off ,he wasn't wearing a t shirt ,when i came off he skinned all his chest !!! he was red raw!!
Mel, i bet your getting really cheesed off with it all now , not very organized are they !!
Right more present wrapping tonight , i'd better make a start , i still haven't got any thing for my sister ,she's so hard to buy for !!

Sheila ,you do plenty enough for good works.Don't feel bad about not Carol Singing (in the rain) :-)
David we have a fairly quiet Christmas now our two are grown up.Saying that they do tend to turn back into children again lol.I remember last year (or the year before) when I had forgotten to buy those Orange and lemon slices. They were most upset lolol.
Chris came in just now with a tupperware box of Mince pies from a lady patient. She is 87 and spent 7 hours baking things for the Church do.She asked him if his wife baked for Christmas!!!!! .He said mmmm not really. Her reply was "Oh Dear" .Puts me to shame :-S :-S.
I'm sure you will have a lovely Christmas David in your new house. I know I will be stressing out in the kitchen with a few glasses of whatever. One year I dished up ,and we all sat down to eat .Hannah said "Mum there is something missing" ......it was only the Turkey !!! I had left it all sliced up and ready ,but keeping warm in the top oven :-S :-S.

Oh Jane you are a nut!! fancy forgetting the most important part of the Christmas meal!!!! Lol.
Sheila the inverter changes the power generated by the panel from DC to AC. It's the most important part to register our leccy.

Jane, Just a thought. Has your pump got a big screw in the middle of it. ??? If so get a screwdriver and undo it a turn. They sometimes get an air block. Once you see water close it up again. I had the same trouble a few years back. Ros is going to make mince pies with Lewis next week, he loves cooking. I bet you feel ashamed of yourself eating an 87 year olds mince pies !!!
Mel, your little father christmas is comming up on your post :-) :-) :-) can you see mine.????
Was going for a pint tonight, but soooo warm in doors I am not bothered. and sooooo cold outside.
