Morning all,

nice bright morning here, and mild.

Glad the "New girls" are laying Mel, to get your gate sale going again will help with the feeding costs.

My sisters use to have rags in their hair. and when Mum put ribbons in their hair she would plait it in the hair, that way, she knew if they tried to take the ribbon out, while in school. If they had, they couldn't replait it. Then there was trouble !!!

Same here Mel, I found a message from Frank that I didn't know about. I logged in and noticed there was an extra message and that's the only reason I found it. I'm still getting the error message when I log in as well.

I don't think they are letting any emails through whilst they are having these problems with the site. Something I read either in announcements or on facebook.

Morning All
Lovely sunny day, was very frosty this morning but where the sun has been shining it's melted it away now, OH gone down on the train to crew this morning, and won't be home till 8 to night,

no Sofia today, daughter no 1 is on holiday this week, so she is visiting me on different days than normal, doesn't matter when she comes, I'll be here,

I went to school in plaits when I was little or sometimes a pony tail. but as you see from my picture I liked Alice bands better, mum would tie the bands tight so my hair would not escape and it was very uncomfortable.

Ooh Mel,thats good .They must feel settled already to be laying.
I have had the worst night sleep .I came downstairs at 3.30.Lay on the settee and watched the crime channel. To many things whizzing around in my brain at the moment. Now I am like a Bear with a sore head. :-S :-S :-S
Poor Chester has been yelled at several times already for getting under my feet.James said go and have a valium .I would if I had some lol

So I think today I will keep myself to myself and just get on with things that need doing.

I'll be back later when hopefully I'll be feeling a bit more cheery.Sound like a miserable old Bu***r don't I . :-| :-|

Afternoon everyone,

Nice and sunny here after a frosty start with a little fog , went to car boot with DIL but there was only a few stalls ,don't think its worth going any more this year ,although they hold the car boot right into December !!
We called into Te*co's on the way home , i bought Katie a new pair of little winter boots ready for her birthday .

Mel, that's good that the new girls have started to lay already , they must know that they have come to a happy home with a new mum who will look after them :-) :-) :-)

So your not a happy bunny this morning then Jane ? did you get out of the bed the wrong side ??

Sausages for tonight with a nice crispy skin jacket potato.
Hubby's home today , he's got some pricing to do, i have to keep quiet while he does that so will have a good read of my book.

Afternoon "GIRLS". Does that make you feel better Jane. !!

Have been looking around for better supplier for Gas/Electricity. Found one and saved £280.00 a year. Just goes to show "YOU MUST SHOP AROUND" You should all do it, if you don't already. The next will be House insurance then Car. Loyalty doesn't seem to pay these days.!!!! They all seems to be out to get what they can.

Ros has been busy knitting again. 5 scarves last night. More wool on it's way ordered today. So that won't last her long. Our lounge looks like a wool shop, with the scarves as samples :-D :-D :-D

Jane I also had a ban night, but didn't get up, I was awake at 2.40am lated and tossed about, loads going through my mind (Children and Grand children) the ones I don't see. but you still think about them. The next time I woke it was 6am I layed for an hour then got up for my cup of tea. Ah thats better.!!

Mel, If the girls carry on like this, all the laying, you will need a contract with TESC# to supply the local store. lol lol

I had a Watch chain turn up this morning for Lewis. I bought him a pocket watch last year and though he might like a chain to go with it. (little old man)
Some of Ros's presents are starting to turn up. from Ebay. Mostly Jewellery. I was going to buy her a new dressing gown but she has 3/4 now. Winter/summer. best when she goes away and another. What do you buy a woman that has most things. Ideas Please.????

Mel, I have noticed that you don't get Emails about messages. What are they playing at. I tend to use my Emails, more than looking for messages on Genes. Found yours thanks.

Well no sun here, it is a horrible typical November day. Grey, slightly misty, cold and damp, not a day for being outdoors so we did the grocery shop and are now staying in, and we have the heating on we were so cold. I shall start writing my christmas cards I think.

Maureen Report 16 Nov 2011 15:51

That must be a bit off putting Kim, if you are walking down the road and hear all these budgies and parrots chatting away, might even get a wolf whistle :-D. The Laxsettes you mentioned I think our equivalent would be ExLax.

I was never allowed to have long hair as a child, probably too much work brushing and plaiting, I do remember heated rollers, they were made from hard plastic and I could never get them to stay in my hair as you couldn't put a pin through them.

Have you got names for all your new girls Mel, great that they have started laying already.

Has your mood improved yet Jane, what's the new book?

What a filthy day it has turned out to be. I went shoppig this afternoon and when I came out of the shop it was pouring with rain.

I got home just before dark and had to chase all the new girls in again and shove some in the nest boxes. The the blimmin bantams were sitting outside their houses underneath the nest boxes out of the rain. Would they go in ????? no they just looked at me as if to say "Whats she doing standing out in the pouring rain, silly moo" That did it off the top of the house came the broom and i chased them out and round into the open cages. By this time I was soaked so I AM NOT A HAPPY BUNNY :-(

Well I am back lol.Still a bit grumpy but getting there :-DHopefully I will sleep better tonight which will make a big difference.
Maureen,my book is Susan Lewis........One day at a time......I have just Pm'd you.

I am not getting emails either to say I have a message on GR.We just need to keep checking our little envelopes.

I was in the Post Office just now and a lot of sirens went by outside. Some chap in the queue said there was a car in the middle of the road a bit further along with something underneath.
I think it may have been a school child knocked down :-( :-(.Maybe there will be something in the paper tomorrow.

Ann (in G) it has been the same weather here today. My son lit the fire just now so it's looking all cosy .

Kim we have a garden Centre near here and they have a couple of Parrots.I love to hear them talking. It would certainly be strange to hear birds talking in the trees :-S :-S

I was never allowed long hair either when I was young, and I was desperate to have it long.I think the first time it was long was when I was 16,when I left school. It was very thick and wavy.Mt friend Ann (at primary school ) could sit on her hair, and once Paul Hocken put a tube of glue on her chair so it all got stuck in her hair :-| :-|.Naughty Boy :-P

No names for the new ones or the old ones. It seems to be just the bantams that get names sometimes. Not even all of those have names. OH h as called one of the old bantam hens Bald Eagle as she has lost all the feathers on her head and they are taking ages to re grow. Hence Bald Eagle cos she looks like one. I must try and get a pic of her although she now has tiny curlers in!!!!!HE HE HE.............. :-D

Annx Report 16 Nov 2011 17:58

Afternoon All,

It was me that asked and I think that's hilarious Kim. :-D The rescued African grey parrots near here all talk in different voices and accents and it must be the same with your budgies that have learned from the escaped ones!!!! lol :-D :-D I suppose the crossbred wild budgies are sometimes different colours to the wild green colour too.

Ann, it has been chilly here as well. I had to turn my fleece collar up after my trip to the hairdresser this morning as the wind whipped avross my bare neck.

What's rattled our Jane that she's shouting at poor Chester then. I hope he hasn't put a paw wrong today.

We had an awful night too. The mice were back in the loft and by 1.30am I couldn't stand the noise any longer so got up to fetch something to bang the ceiling hoping they would scurry away elsewhere. I decided to wake OH up first so I didn't scare him to death and end up with a vase buried in my skull. He was not impressed at being woken. After a few bashes on the ceiling with the broom handle it went quiet, so back to bed. OH dropped off to sleep..... and then the clatter in the loft started again!! After half an hour it was driving me mad, so I woke OH up (again!) and suggested he go up in the loft......even less impressed!! My theory was that there must already be mice caught in the traps, so they needed re-setting but that putting the loft light on and him stomping about might at least shift the little B*ggers elsewhere for the night. Up the steps he went and put the loft light on. Yes, both traps had a mouse in, but he said one must have been there a few weeks as the smell was awful!!! :-S We decided we'd better empty and reset them there and then, so we must have looked quite a sight if the neighbours had looked out of their windows. Creeping across the front in our nightwear to the bin and being floodlit with the security light!! Of course, then we couldn't get back to sleep for ages anyway. There was another mouse in the reset traps this morning so I hope it is quiet tonight.

I think I read something the other day (the announcements??) that said emails were not being sent to alert to messages at the moment.

What good chuckies Mel, laying already and paying their way.......what good girls.......I want your tea!!! :-D :-D How are you doing ciggie wise??

Ann is it worth getting the council in to deal with your little devils? We had a real problem some years ago and kept catching them ,but they kept coming. We paid a one off payment and the chap kept coming to bait and trap until they had gone.It was well worth it just to be rid .They sound like they have hob nail boots on don't they :-S :-S :-S
Ann have Pm'd you
