Misty moisty start but the sun has now burnt it off.

Good luck to Ros and the sale today and hope you raise a lot of money.

Oh has started on the roof once again now the rain has stopped.

Just havin my bowl of cereal whilst typing.

Jane will be on her way by now. I do hope she has a lovely weekend with Hannah. They will probably go round the shops and have a nice lunch somewhere.

My Madam, has gone to her sale. She is in charge of taking the money. So has taken a small calculator in case she has a lot of adding up to do. SHE HOPES.

Damp old lot out there again this morning. bit foggy earlier. and we had rain in thr night. No plans to do anything today. Might walk up and see the sale later.

Glad OH is able to work on the roof, you want that out of the way, in case the weatherr turns. !!

Mel, glad the rain has stopped your way , your OH will be able to get on with the roof now, has he much more to do to get it all finished ?

Not doing much today , hubby is having a rest this weekend after doing the staircase , the next project for him is the conservatory we have decided to tile the floor ,at the moment we have cushion flooring on one half where we have the table and chairs and carpet on the other half where we have the sofa .

I have been a lazy old begger. Got showered and dressed, and sat reading.

Mandy, I think I will join you in a cuppa. Then I might walk up to see how the "girls" are doing with their open day, and be a bodyguard to bring all the money home. I don't know where they keep it over the weekend, before banking it on Monday.

I see in our local paper that a school canteen got Robed by two yobs. Got away with over £5,000.00. What the hell is a school canteen doing with that sort of money lying around. A question I think should be asked in the local peper.

Ros's BLUE BADGE ran out this week, and didn't get a reminder. When she rang. They said we will sent you an application form. When she filled it in the cost has gone up from £2.00 to £10.00. for renewing it. I will be asking questions about the rise. I think it's another way for the Council of getting money, from people who don't pay PARKING FEES.

I would like to see that e.mail on onions if you can find it please Frank. I bet Ros has sold all those scarves by now, wouldn't be surprised if she gets some orders for them too.

I loved my mum's rice pudding or rasputin as my ex called it, the top was always a little bit burnt and I used to scrape the sides till it flaked off and eat the bits. It was nice with a spoonful of strawberry jam.

The weather is nice for Jane meeting up with Hannah, I never get much Christmas shopping done when daughter and I go out, we usually find a nice restaurant and that's it for the day.

I echo Ann's sentiments on never forgetting all those who lost their lives or were injured during the wars, wouldn't hurt the youth of today to do national service, girls as well as boys.

I'm a lazy bones today too, feel quite tired. This dull weather doesn't help......think we had 2 blinks of sun earlier and now it is getting dark!

I bet Ros's cash box is jingling!! I wonder how many scarves she has sold up to now.

If it was me in London I think I would be off to a show if I could, plus a nice meal of course. It must be good to go around with someone who knows the city like Hannah must by now.

Shirl, it doesn't seem 5 minutes since your snow went!! We seem to be having mild weather very late here. There are fuschias still in flower in the garden.

Mandy, is your cottage shelf up yet? It will do your hubby good to have a bit of a break this weekend.

I have EM the tiara and I'm not wearing it.........couldn't get OH to pose either!! lol I'm having a go at a flower spray brooch next as we were shown how to do those this week too.

Well, i feel quite pleased with myself , i helped some one on here with a War record look up ,googled the name and found a photo of the person they were looking for ,he was only 21 when he died in the war !!
If only i could do that with some of mine !!!

Just cooked some pasta and that nearly went the same way as the rice

Yes Ann ,shelf is up, but i've put my Fairies on there , i put the cottages on ,but they didn't look quite right on there ,the fairies look better .

Well that is a nice new home for the fairies then........sometimes things you see in your mind's eye look different in reality and it's better to change it if it doesn't work so well. I have a mirror to put up in the hall, but now I've held it up to look at..... :-S :-S ......I think I may take it back!

Kim, it sounds as if the news from your doctor could have been a lot worse. You will get used to the new regime and it will be worth it if it helps you to feel more well. I don't drink anymore either and used to love a white wine. I didn't realise you had pet budgies in Australia with them originating there. Do you see many wild ones or are they just in certain parts?

Yes, The sale went well. Ros has a lot of orders for more scarves. They sold most of them today. and took over £450.00. so well pleased. We have the cash box sitting on the table. I will have to find a good hiding place for it tonight. I think a good night out tonight. is on the cards. !!!!

OH got some of the roof done one side but had trouble with some of the tiles as two had broken and the spares we have are bigger!! They must be spares for the bit of roof over his study which was added later.

I was looking for some WW1 records for someone roday but could'nt find them at all. Only found his medal thing that had his number of the regiment and name. A victory medal but he had found that. They must be in some ofthe ones that were burnt in the war.

Has anyone watched The Land Girls on BBC 1 in the afternoons? I have watched them on Replay on my box and I did enjoy it. Thei was searise (sp) 3 and I wished I had seen the others.

Hello Hello Hello! .I'm home ,with tired swollen feet :-S.Isn't a day in London exhausting.We had a lovely day.Walked all along the South bank of the Thames from Festival Hall( I think).to Borough Market.What an amazing place that was .All food stuffs.It was fascinating.I may have a pic or two.From there we went on to Stoke Newington where Hannah lives and had a mosey around the little shops and a very nice lunch.Then to end the day when we got back to St Pancras,called in to have a glass of wine at the newly renovated Renaissance Hotel.Wow Wow Wow! It was just stunning.I won't tell you the price of 2 glasses of wine :-| :-|.
All in all a very nice day.I think I should sleep well tonight.
I haven't read todays posts yet ,but will do in a minute.
I am so glad it is Chris's turn to walk Chester in the morning :-D :-D :-D

Had a really lousy night last night, didn't get much sleep, head kept going round and round and I could not sleep for the pains in my back and across my stomache muscles ended up taking some pain killers and a hot water bottle to ease the pain, probably wasn't helped by the nurse pulling and probing around yesterday,

I slept in this morning and decided to stay in bed for a while then after a little scrambled egg and toast for lunch, OH took me for a run in the car down to the garden centre, I had a little walk and shop about but not for too long as my legs were aching and I felt very tired. still have a long way to go to build my strenth back. took off the 3 dressings today on the right side of my stomache and they are all healed and clean.
got to keep the belly button one on till Monday, thats still sore.

Mel, I have only seen one episode of Land Girls but though it very enjoyable.

I'm tired again so I will say goodnight
