Morning/Evening All

William I hope Carmel is feeling more comfortable this morning and that you both managed a good sleep.Hopefully today will be a nice peaceful one.

Kim thanks for the photos. What a gorgeous dress Miranda is wearing. She looks a picture. In fact all the girls looked great.Nice to see you there too in your fluffy robe :-D

Ann I loved those pics from Chatsworth. It must have taken a lot of work to get all that set up,and it looked lovely and Christmasy.

Well it is a cloudy and very dull morning,,but we have something to brighten up the drive...........A pink skip :-D.It arrived at 8 this morning. So I will make a start chucking out some of the smaller things.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Well I turned the pc on to find a host of photos from both Ann and Kim and what lovely pics they were too.

Ann just love that Christmas tree. I wonder how long it took them to dress that???? They have made the house look really magical for the children. hav'nt they.

Dreay old day here again and we have had a little rain. Oh took some pics early this morning of the flour I put around and under the feeding bowls but there is nothing very clear as the moistur ein the air has flattened the flour and prints. The only thing was that Hogwarts sticks had moved so he definately came out last night. As to the other one your guess is as good as mine. Only a little dog food left under the log seat in that bowl. Just can't wait for Christmas now to see what I can get on the camera. That is the only way to be really sure and see what time they arrive and how often they come out in the night.

William .I love your Pidgeons lol We have some that do exactly the same in the Birdbath.they looks so funny when they just lie there almost hanging over the edge :-D..Not so funny when they leave huge poos in the water though :-S :-S

MORNING ALL. ,

Horrible damp morning here, heating and lights on.

Ros is in the shower and washing her hair. Now the fun starts, trying to get the rollers in, and drying it. She has a job getting her arms up to put the rollers in. She has bought a cover that attaches to the hairdryer and goes over her head. What a sexy sight :-D :-D :-D

Nice photo's all round Ann and Kim. We might go to Rockingham Castle to see their Christmas decorations. They say they are great. but don't know the cost yet. If too expensive will give it a miss.

I have bought Ros a six foot LED CHRISTMAS TREE. She is busy now putting on the petals and bending the branches to the shape she wants. That will sit on the front lawn, when we decorate in December. Every year I say we will have to stop climbing up steps to put the lights round the bungalow. But still we do it !!! Everything for Christmas is stored in the garage in very large plastic containers. They take up so much space, and a lot of them we don't use anymore, but she won't throw them out.

Jane, whats the skip for ??? our your neighbours have one on their drive, They have just taken out a chimney breast, so there is a lot of bricks. Yesterday two travelers turned up, walked down the drive climbed into the skip. They sorted through everything and put any metal on the drive, and transfered to their van and drove off. Saucey SODS. didn't even knock on the door.

This morning another guy turned up had a good nose around, and took photo's. I called out that they were out. I have taken his car No. should anything untoward happen. I will speak to Nicolla when she gets home.

I wasn't being nosey, I just happen to be in our kitchen, the windows face down the close, so we can't help but see what goes on. :-D :-D :-D THAT'S MY STORY, and I'm sticking to it.!!!

Your poor wife Will, a lot of TLC is needed on your behalf, I hope she goes on alright.

Well i had better get showered and shaved, now the bathroom is empty.

Afternoon everyone,

Dull and dreary here today no sun :-S and blooming cold too.

The Kitchen window has now gone in ,that's all of them for this year ,then in the spring we will have the back door of the conservatory to do and two little side windows .

Poor Carmel , i hope she's feeling better today William and that you both managed a good nights sleep , my word you have some fat pigeons your way lol

Ann, what a lovely christmas tree ,did they have a competition to count the baubles on it :-D looks like they've put a lot of hard work into making the rooms nice and Christmasy .

Kim, thanks for the photo's of the girls all dressed up in their lovely dresses ,how grown up they all look , is that the latest boyfriend with the curly hair ?

Well done Frank for doing your bit for Neighbour Hood Watch !! it's not the taking out of the skip people need to worry about, it's people lobbing their rubbish in !!! if anyone puts any Asbestos in, the price of the skip can go sky high ,this happened to hubby when he had a skip once ,some one put some thing Asbestos in and he never noticed ,then when it went to be emptied he had to pay a lot of money !! the skip had to go to a special bin to be emptied .

Well i got my cups to make my Sparkle ball decoration for Christmas , couldn't find the larger cups so i'am using the little shot glasses , should look good , when it's done i'll take a photo.

Time for a cuppa i think ,got to keep the worker happy .

Mandy have I missed something here??? What is this about sparkle ball decorations please?

It has come over all misty here and the leccy meter has it's red light on to say it is too dark to generate, but it is not cold :-D There is not a breath of air moving outside and it is what I call a Secret Day. It just feels so wierd......................................

Yes the pics were really good were'nt they. My favorite of Kim's was the last one with the family together but did'nt her daughter look lovely and so happy at that time.

Maureen Report 16 Nov 2012 14:58

Thanks for the photos William, Ann and Kim. All the girls looked lovely in their formal dresses, at least your daughter didn't get a tattoo like one of the girls Kim. I quite like the more discreet ones, like a butterfly or flower, if I was younger I might have got one, but the ones that cover most of the arm I don't think look very nice, having said that my son has both arms covered in tattoos.

Have given the decking a good old sweeping this morning, sorted out pots with dead flowers in and it all looks nice and neat and tidy out there now.

I will pass on your good wishes to Deborah, her son is 13 now and already 5ft 11
and is doing very well at school.

It is quite cold and grey, better get on and get this house cleaned, that should warm me up :-D

Well Frank the skip is just for the rubbish and old benches, tables old paint pots, and a ton of other stuff that has collected since the last skip.My Ironing Board and Chris's bike have got to go in too.But I think this skip is not as big as Chris imagined. He was thinking it had a flap bit that could drop like the one we had before,But ut hasn't .So it will be lobbing things over the side :-S

Fitz came and said his Mother finally was taken to the home at 7.30 last night. She seemed quite happy and said her room was 'sweet'.He will go tomorrow with more of her clothes and bedside table ,lamp etc.

I have a nice job to do now.....Frank might like to help me :-D.I am doing Venison Casserole for dinner and need red wine for it.I emailed Chris to see what bottle I could use.He told me to start with the really old bottles on the bottom of the rack.
I have opened 2 and had a taster but they have gone down the plughole.Am now just going to open the 3rd lol.Hopefully this one will be fine :-D :-D

Frank I don't know how easy our skip will be seen from the road. But my beady eyes will be open for anyone wandering down the drive.I know there are always people on the look out for things in skips.
I know when James left his car here when he was at Uni some young man knocked on the door and said he had noticed the car sat in the drive for a while and did we want to sell it !!!!.He also asked questions about Chester too like was he a good chaser?? and what breed. He made me feel quite uncomfortable .I think he might have been a Traveller.
Right off to test this next bottle and get on with the food as it will take a good few hours .

WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE WINE ????? Like women it gets better with age lol lol
No way should a bottle of RED go off. What do you say MEL.!!!

It never got light here today, the lights and heating have been on all day. The radiators have been drying washing, and the tumble dryer has been working overtime with thick dressing gown (MADAMS) and all the towels.

I am trying a stuffed breast of lamb tonight, I haven't had one for years. certainly not since I have been married to Ros. Plenty of veg, so if she dosen't like it, she can fill up on veg and roast pots.

The liver last night was as tough as old boots. I have told Ros not to buy anymore prepacked. Will get it from a proper butcher.

Oh what a dream I had last night, !!! back and forward to Derby Hitch Hiking. Leicester by car, with no driving licence, and a lot of chasing around the Country. I tried to explain it to Ros this morning, but I lost her somewhere along the journey !!!!

Yes come on Many, lets have your secrets. :-D :-D :-D Making things without telling us. Naughty girl <3 <3 <3

The artifficial tree has been finished off today. It looks a treat (PHOTO TO FOLLOW) Lewis's favourite colour blue.

What's Ann made today then JIM !!! If you remember Housewifes Choice. Jimmy Young would always say "WHAT'S THE RECIEPE TODAY" I use to listen to t hat every morning while sitting at the switchboard in the RAF in 1958. Sorry girls I just thought most of you were still in nappies ;-) ;-) ;-)

Those SKIPS with the drop down bit were good when you had earth and gravel stull to move. A good run up and you could put it where you wanted, out of the barrow.

A friend down the pub works for a tool hire company, and has offered to bring me home a water pump, to pump out the pon. Will try to get it done soon, so the pond cad stay empty for the winter and kill off any weeds etc in the frosts. Then I can restart it all in the SPRING.

Frank the first bottle tasted like sherry and looked slightly brownish in colour. The second was definitely corked ...3rd FINE .One bottle was 2002 and one 2003.I can't believe we still had them lol.So I have used 500mls and left the rest for himself to finish off.As you know I am not really a red wine fan.I will stick to my white.
I must go shopping tomorrow as there is only one white left!!! :-S :-S.Ald* do some really good ones for under fiver.

The men are back tomorrow morning to finish off ALL the work :-D :-D :-D.I had to ring Chris to get some Teabags on his way home as I just realised there are only 4 bags left, and Mario is a right old teapot.I need my tea too first thing.
Chris is working tomorrow so I have passed the job of Dog Walk onto James :-D.I need to be here for the men :-D

This Venison Casserole is smelling wonderful :-D
My Lamb dish last night was smashing .I will definitely do that recipe again.Chris was very impressed :-D :-D :-D :-D(that makes a change )

Evening All,

Thanks for that Mel, I hadn't thought about looking for the 'old' episodes of Paradise! :-) It should be very interesting to see what is on your webcam when you use it. I hadn't realised it would show the time as well. The house did look quite magical yesterday (glad it wasn't me putting all those baubles on). Captain Hook said he would do an aggressive pose for me and made a lot of 'piratey' noise.......scared the wits out of a little girl behind us. Gawd knows what happened when she saw the scary, cackling child catcher further on!!

William, those Pigeons look very relaxed don't they.........they look as if they have used your 5 * facilities before! I hope Carmel had a good sleep last night....you too.

Mandy, what are your sparkle balls that you are making......sounds interesting?? Look forward to seeing pics. They had some decorations on the side tables at Chatsworth that looked like glasses stacked on one another......will see if I can send you a pic. Some of the simplest things can look really good. It must be annoying for your hubby when people throw things in skips that he has to pay extra for. I suppose if they lob fridges in too it might cost more?

I bet Fitz is relieved his mum is there now and seems to like her room. Fingers crossed she will settle in ok.

Kim the photos are lovely, all pretty girls aren't they. I'm not keen on tattoos but that black and silver dress looks good with the tattoo! I love the car reg too......very appropriate.

Frank how cheeky of them to fish out all the metal!! Still, if you had a skip nearly full you might be glad they were making more room. When I was still at home some travellers came round collecting while I was at work and wanted the little pony foal I had and also the Goldfinch that had been dad's father's!! I was worried they might come back and get the pony at night. :-S You put us to shame with your Christmas garden display. All we have is a wreath on the door and a sprig of Holly around our house number with a Robin on!!

Maureen, I can't believe Deborah's son is that tall!! He must have grown quickly.

Ann has been making a candytwist bracelet/necklace depending on when I stop!! Still not finished though. What a busy dream Frank, you must have woken up tired after all that!! :-S I find liver can vary a lot, even bits in the same pack! I tend to get lambs liver when we have it......lovely with lots of onions.

LOL Frank I might have met you somewhere on your journey.I was traveling a lot in my dreams last night too .My dreams are just totally crazy and when I try and tell Chris when he gets up ......he just gives me a look and says "go back to sleep" :-D

I feel guilty I haven't voted :-S :-S :-S .Mind you I wouldn't know who I was voting for.

Oh Bu***r a screw from the lid on the pan fell off and dropped in my casserole. After a lot of digging around we found it .......but now realise there is a metal washer thing missing :-S :-S...I am not fishing around anymore. So it will be like finding the lucky sixpence in a Christmas Pudding :-D :-D :-D.....I have a feeling Chris has now been put off dinner :-S :-S...I just said it one of us swallows it without knowing it will find it's own way out ;-)..I refuse to strain the whole lot.

Morning All and Evening Kim,

Been raining in the night and everywhere is wet wet wet. Hedgie came last night but after I had gone to bed. I have lots of footprints in the flour around the feeding bowls. Very soggy ones though as it had rained. Every scrap of food was gone. I think the mice clear up most of the crumbs as you can see their tiny prints too.

Must do some mossing of rings today and wire some ribbons and flowers.

Ann thanks for th elovley pics. The colours are really lovely. I once had a winter coat in all those colours. It was a middy coat double breasted with a tie belt and really warm.
