Thats set my day off to a good start. came on here an posted for 25 minutes, Pressed submit and the lot dissapeared and went back to pages 1 to 10.

It's a cloudy morning but felt quite pleasant when I was down the lane just now.
Chris said this morning that he doesn't think he will be making Sloe Gin this year as there are hardly any sloes :-S.That will be a real shame as everyone loved the last lot.

James is having a couple of hours sleep and then has to take his car in for MOT.It won't pass .

Frank ,just seen the lovely Cockatoo email.It's lovely.Those kind of emails always have me with a soppy grin on my face lol

I need a drink and some breakfast so will BBL

Ros got off at 9. 00 am Carolyn's hushband took them to the bus station.
They are doing Windsor Castle tour later today, and Buckingham Palace tomorrow morning. Don't know when they will be home, so had better keep everywhere tidy.

Have done both lawns this morning, they look a treat.

Jane, I am pleased they found that little boy too. You could never rest, knowing he had been washed out to sea, never to be seen again. I see they come from the Stamford Road area. When I first left my Ex I lived down there for 12 months. It's a bit out of Chris's catchment area isn't it ????

Have filled the neighbours Green bin, will all Ros's rubbish. His was almost empty. :-D :-D :-D :-D NOT NOW.

I don't know where the last couple of weeks have gone, it's just flown by and now we are nearly in September :-0

Patio is all done, I am pleased with it though I think a smaller table would have gone better. Oh well, this one will be useful when the whole family are over. Still a lot to do in the garden, yours looks a picture Frank, I seem to have lost the edges of my lawn.

I enjoyed WDYTYA, didn't think I would, never watch cookery programmes so didn't really know who Greg Wallace was but he came across very well. I wonder exactly how many of these they start and find there's just nothing of any interest and have to ditch it. I think that's what happened with Michael Parkinson.

Holiday coming up soon Jane. Son was talking about a late holiday somewhere so you never know, might get a proper holiday after all.

It makes my eyes water just thinking of those injections Shirl. Nice to have your monsters around.

Good job I cut the grass before I came in for lunch, just looked out and it's raining.

They were the funniest e.mails Shirl. the guy on the phone his laugh was so infectious, I couldn't stop laughing. Love the cemetary ones some people have such a good sense of humour, think I like Spike Milligans the best though "I told you I was ill" and Frank Carsons "What a way to lose weight"

I don't know why people put on weight when they stop smoking, maybe they do eat more without realising it, I put on about 3 stone gradually over the years, glad I've managed to lose it all now though.

I'd better get back out in the garden now it's stopped raining. BBL

Maureen your patio is looking really smashing and so pretty .As you say you will need that table for when your family come round.
The boys look so cheerful and cheeky.I can't believe how they have grown !!

Frank I bet Ros will have a great time visiting all these Royal places.I have never been to either.

Well James's car has failed the MOT as we knew it would.He now has the big decision of whether to pay and have it all done or get rid of it.I think it will be get rid as I reckon he will only be able to sell it for scrap now.So I think we will be sharing mine for some time yet :-S

Hannah will be coming home tomorrow morning until Monday.It will be nice to see her again even though she has a hectic social life planned catching up with her friends.I bet she is hoping for one of 'Mums' nice Roast Dinners on Sunday :-D

It's been nice and sunny all day but the rain has just started ,there was a little thunder a while ago too.

The patio looks good now with the table and chairs set out ,looks a good size just right for all the family when they come round.

Shirl, i think your very brave having those injections in the eye ,it's not some thing i would like to have done, and just thinking about it makes my eyes water .

Our S*y seems to be playing up carn't seem to change the channels !! perhaps its to do with the weather .
Pressing the TV Guide just brings up the channels but no listings !!

Haven't seen the little ones this week ,they have all had a tummy bug !!

Oh Shirl, it must be horrid having those injections! I would be gritting my teeth and have white knuckles I think.

Maureen those 2 little boys look like mischief waiting to happen!! lol. Such lovely happy little faces they have. :-D Your patio is looking very good now and a bigger table is always useful. We are weighing up whether to go somewhere for a few days next month. I did originally fancy going up to see Glamis Castle, the late Queen mum's place, but I think it would need a bit of planning and booking ahead as we would ideally want an overnight stop each way. Many places are booked up now and some of the cottages I have looked at are about 2 miles up a farm track in the middle of knowhere!!

I have just made some of the bean thing Jane and it is cooling ready for tomorrow. I looked up some of the recipes and think I will love it as anything with onions, garlic and tomatoes does it for me!! lol I think I will try it with cold meats like you suggest.

Frank I bet Ros will love her trip........I would like to visit the Palace.

No we don't want the bug ,that's why they haven't been this week ,have missed them though , i expect they'll come some time over weekend ,they come in like a whirl wind LOL

We have noticed there are hardly any sloes on the tree in the field over the fence and what there are are very small.

Mandy, it is good they kept their bugs to themselves, even if you have missed them! Your DIL must have had her hands full though, looking after them and baby Lacey.Hope your S*y is working now. Our box makes a ping noise at times and everything goes!! We switch it off and then on again and it is usually ok again for a while.

Meant to say thanks for all the emails everyone.....very good.

I am in my dressing gown, and have been since 7.00 pm. The weather didn't look that good. and I didn't want to be walking home in the dark and rain.

I have recorded Ros's soaps, so she can watch those tomorrow or Sunday.

I haven't looked at my eMails this evening, so will see whats been going on after I close down here.

Heard from Ros this afternoon, they had just come from the Castle and having a cup of tea. They enjoyed the visit,

Mandy, I haven't got the energy to party. A quiet night in is more my style, with a couple of beers.

Jane, What type of car would James be looking for and a what price. I still have contact in the trade, where a car can be bought at the right price. I will do my best for him when the time is right.

What a lazy boy I have been.!!!! Was up and about at 7.30 Had a shower and shave, made a cup of tea and took it back to bed to listern to the radio, finally got up at 9.30.

I heve washed the Green bin out grass cutting everywhere. :-0 :-0 Now ready for the neck onslaught from Ros on the rest of the Border.

I spoke with her this morning, they were doing a tour of London, on the way to BUCK HOUSE. They were just going round Marble arch.. I could hear the tour operator in the background. They are having a GREAT time.

Jane, Hope you have a nice weekend with Hannah, Is her boyfriend coming as well.??? I see we had a fair bit of rain in the night, I sidn't hear a thing, slept like a log.!!!

I thought it was a bit early for sloes, we go out October time.

No John is not coming with Hannah.He has gone to see his parents.I think Hannah wanted a catch up with all her girlfriends so just a girlie weekend.

Jane have a lovely time with Hannah and The Farmer show is the Aust. version and they were certainly scraping the bottom of the barrel with the 6 they came up with. Only one is halfways decent, soppy females crying because they might get sent home. It gave me and my son a good laugh anyway.

Maureen thanks for the pics, your patio looks lovely and your little boys are gorgeous with such wonderful smiles.

The family has been in Sydney today at the Sydney Cricket Ground watching an AFL game (Aussie Rules). OH is meeting up with his brother, SIL and niece who are mad supporters. Glad Joel is not here as his team lost and he would be thumping the cushions on my couch. He gets a little carried away. It would be 3-4 years since they have seen one another as they live in Victoria.

Shirl you are brave to have those injections. I was talking to a lady on fb. who has them too. She wears a patch for a few days afterwards. I can't remember what condition she has them for. Good that you caught up with your friend before her cruise. You're right I should send OH down to that shop to buy me that blouse. I did love the emails - played it back to OH and totally cracked him up.

Mandy we have a tummy bug going around Sydney and this area at the moment. It is quite nasty and has put a few in hospital. I don't need anything like that coming home here.

It has been another lovely day and washing is all dry, folded and put away. I have been on snake alert as they python was back yesterday. That's 4 visits now and the black cat was locked outside with it. She whacked it with her paw and it opened its jaws and hissed. My daughter got the cat inside quick smart as it started to come for her. She is really a silly cat. It has grown too. I think it lives very close by. :-0 :-0
