Don't know what was going on over the big house yesterday but they did'nt have loud music that we usually hear.
Still raining here so I think I hsall have to put the pillow cases and dish cloths in the dryer.
Just had bacon, egg, sausage, Frankfurter, hash browns, beans, mushrooms and fried bread. Full to the brim now :-S
Pat they were the fish I reared from eggs from the goldfish and shubunkins in the pond. I now have the spawning brush in the fish tank full of eggs.

What are you cooking tonight then Mel????Full Roast lol. It's beginning to look a bit like rain could be on the way now.Just got the washing in that has been out for 2 days.It is one of those days where I can't be ar**d to do much. All my joints and muscles feel achy :-S.I might muster up the enthusiasm to trim the little Box trees in the pots outside the front door. They suddenly seem to have sprouted a load of new leaf and look very untidy. The cutters are all nicely sharpened and ready.
It is 25 years ago today that I lost my lovely Dad to Motor Neurone Disease .A quarter of a Century!!!! and yet it still seems just like yesterday.I do miss him. :-(

Doesn't seem to matter how much time has passed does it Jane, the feelings are always there. It's coming up to the 2nd anniversary of my mums death soon and her birthday, will try and get over to the crematorium.
Have just had a successful trip into Harrow, last minute bits for the wedding, bought a pair of ballet pumps in Pr***rk so cheap, thought if these shoes are killing by the evening will change into them for a bit of a jig. Left them overnight in the freezer, it does seem to have stretched them a bit, will wear them around the house for a couple of hours and stick them back in the freezer again. It's only the top bit round the toes that are pinching the heels are fine.
Hope Janice is okay on the boat, if the weather is like here she should be quite warm and dry.
Sounds like you had a lovely day out Ann.

Jane, at least you still think of your Dad with love, that is the greatest tribute that you can pay him. I don't think our parents ever really leave us, I know I always feel my Mum & Dad are still close to me. My Mum has been gone 36 years now but I still love her and think about her on a daily basis. Dad lived till he was 94 and was still erect like the old soldier he was to the very end, bless him.
I've never met anyone with MND but I would imagine that it is the cruelest of diseases. Cheer up now, we are all thinking of you.

Ah William .I'm not sad really.Just remembering him with happy thoughts.Without him and Mum adopting me I wouldn't have had the life I've had :-D MND is awful and cruel.Back then not so much was known about it and I'm sure Dad didn't get the same care and help then as he would now. He was just too young to go at 64 and he was such an active and enthusiastic person. The people in the village came up trumps after he died when we put on a show and supper in the village hall.Raised well over a thousand pounds for the Charity. He was well known as someone who did lots for our village and was loved and appreciated for all his hard work.It is such a pity he didn't live long enough to see all his Grandchildren grow up.Life is a bitch sometimes isn't it :-S
Maureen ..2 years!!! since you lost your Mum???.It is very scary how time flits by.........Don't want to get Maudlin .... :-D On a happy note it is still dry here :-D :-D :-D Sad note ..Chris has just marched off down the garden with the gun :-S :-S The dear little bunnies have been out playing.

Evening all,
What a lovely day its been ,was really warm in the sun, we didn't make it to the coast after all, son and family came this morning , they didn't go till about twelve ,we then did a few jobs and went to the tip, i've been turning out more cupboards !!we then called at Homeba*e for a few bits and honestly for the fifty pound we paid you couldn't see what we bought !!! a bag of compost ,a pack of Geraniums and a few bits in a carrier bag !!
BIL had good news to tell us last night , he has heard from the hospital and he's going in for his op at the end of the month , the day before his seventieth birthday !!what a good birthday present ,a new knee, he was a different man last night ,much happier
Poor James that couldn't have been very comfortable sitting for all that time in the car ,good job he didn't want a wee!!! :-D I wonder how the canal trip has gone , at least it has been dry ,i think i would be on edge having little ones on the water ,even with life jackets on !! :-S I've never been one for boat trips ,i like my feet on the ground !! LOL
I don't think my mum is far away ,i'am always smelling perfume at odd times ,and i'll say to hubby can you smell that and he never can !!! i like to think it's mum, just reminding me she's still around :-D
Clouding up a bit now , should have rain again tomorrow i see, surely this hosepipe ban will be lifted soon after all the rain we've had lately.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Grey skies and dullish. We have had a little sun but it is gone now. Oh still faffing around with the pond, cleaning out the old filter which he dos'nt use now. Probably going to put it on my new pond now I have over 40 odd fish in it.
Jane all I can say is your tree is some kind of pine. When it gets it actual cones we may be able to tell further.
Hope Janice enjoyed her day on the river and everything went off ok.

Sun is out here ow and oh gone off to Homeleigh to see about a new filter for my pond as the old one is no good anymore! More expence!! :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
I am keeping my eye on his pond as we had to drain a lot of the water out to catch the fish yesterday. We started filling it from the well yesterday but turned it off last night and back on again this morning. It takes soooooo long to fill.

Hello everyone,
Just quickly read through the threads. Jane I think of mum and dad everyday and the good times. It passes so quickly, but the love is always there. Poor Janice still in so much pain. I hope she enjoyed her day.
Ann the photos and countryside are enchanting. I was going to ask where it was, but had a look on your post.
Raining and cold here. Joy still in hospital hooked up to many machines and very confused. She thinks she is at home and doesn't know how she will pay the power bill with all the lights on all day. She's pretty confused about everything, so I don't know that she would cope back at home. We found food in cupboards that should have been in the fridge. Apart from the infection, I think the mind has been steadily going for a little while now. It is very sad.
It is a long weekend here and my daughter has been coughing for about 5-1/2 weeks now, so OH took her to the after hours clinic. The doctor said her chest was terrible worse than a smoker's chest (no offence to any smokers on here). She told her she's never smoked in her life. The doctor said well stop smoking and you'll be fine. Keith had to ask her to listen to her chest and she said it was pretty bad, but no antibiotics and pushed them out the door. What a cheek!!!! It is beyond being a virus now and I'm frightened she is on the way to pneumonia. This is the third time in 3 weeks we have been to a doctor. Hope you have better medical staff over there. It seems the good doctors are in the city areas and we have the clods up here in our area. :-(
Maureen I hope all went well with your test. You will be kicking up your heels next weekend at your daughter's wedding. Don't forget some pics. for us.
Mel & Fiona hope your health is improving and those damn headaches are fading.
All quiet here, apart from the girl. I am trying not to catch it from her. Hope the sun is shining and Frank and Ros are enjoying their holiday. Take care everyone. 8.12 pm EST
Sorry Mandy great news for your BIL. He has really been through a rough time. Wishing him a successful operation and better times ahead.

Hi Everyone
Another damp and cold day,
Oh just left for Edinburgh Airport off to Munich and will be back Friday afternoon.
Sofia has an eye test at the hospital today to check wether she needs glasses, it's better than going to the opticians as they will have the proper tests for little ones, ask questions that a 2 1/2 year old can answer, also they use eye drops aswell, daughter will have a bit of hard work there, I don't like anyone putting drops in my eyes , so I sure Sofia will play up.
headaches improving, but it's a slow process,
Time to put on the kettle and have some lunch.

Do you remember all the fuss when Lady Chateley's Lover came out, I never read it but I bet we would wonder what all the fuss was about now.
Have they still not got to the bottom of your headaches Fiona.
I bet Frank will be in a pub somewhere that has a big screen for the footie, weather is pretty horrible, it's been raining all day here. Looks like it will be umbrellas at the weekend too, shame, daughter's already stressing about the weather, nothing you can do about it though.
Still wearing my shoes around the house, I tried the hairdrier tip Mandy but think I burnt the element out or something, cos it won't work now. Will try the freezing method again, can only wear them for a little while before my feet get really cold, think they may be cutting the circulation, what we do in the name of fashion :-P
Am feeling more normal now, has taken a couple of days, think everything is okay, they took biopsies I'm just thinking if I don't hear anything, no news is good news. How are you today Kim?

Kim that's a bit worrying for Miranda's cough to be going on so long.I know coughs can take ages to clear if it is just Viral.Have they not suggested a Chest Xray? Poor Joy.Bless her.I remember finding food in all the wrong places at Mums. How she never got food poisoning I shall never know :-S
I need to put away my ironing now.if I don't it will still be hanging around here tonight.I think Chris fed up seeing laundry in the lounge all the time lol BBL
