Thanks for the pics Ann. The old church is certainly a cobbled together affair.Very interesting. Like the one of the big house. The sheep look really relaxed and happy.
Washing nearly finished and the sun is trying to shine!!! :-D
Must get another lot ready to go in.

Yes, Mary Beard, that's her name Jane. we watched part 1) last night and we thought it was brilliant - and are really looking forward to seeing the rest of it. 'Chap' rang up this am and they're definitely back on Tuesday, + our 'bits' so feel a lot more cheerful!!

Afternoon everyone,
Dull day here , been hanging on waiting to see if it brightens up a bit before i hang my washing out, but its gone over really dark now and looks more like rain !!! so don't think i'll bother .
Ann lovely photo's ,thanks , the little lamb with its mum is lovely ,when i took DIL and Katie out the other day we saw lots of sheep , now every time we go in the car Katie says , see Ba Ba Sheep Nanny . The church is a mismash ,looks like they have added bits on over the years and done repairs to it . Ann, i googled Shaddingfield Lodge in Gt Yarmouth ,it is close by the Carlton Hotel and i think its the one that is now a Casino the frontage looks very much the same with that rounded bay on the right hand side .
What a day yesterday ,tried getting on here first thing and kept getting the Error message so gave up . The rest of the day i was busy ,DIL came and our new window for the conservatory was delivered ,that was a performance !!
The poor chap had just got all the frames, untied in the van and the glass all loose when the bin man turned up and wanted to go up to the old peoples complex next door ,the driver had parked his van in the way !! Hubby and the bin man had to stand in the back of the van ,hold the frames and the glass so the driver could move the van over to let the bin lorry through !!! There was also two Patio doors and glass that hubby had ordered for a customer !!
Mel , i think you might have hit the nail on the head about the WEEDS !! hubby thinks they look like Turnips too . I might as well pull them up ,we don't like turnips !!
Got a nice piece of Gammon for the week end so i think 'll get that cooked today ,and then get some ironing done .

Typical, new day on the job and OH had to come home from the office because he could not connect to the internet on their system. that means our main phone will be tied up all day with him talking on meetings, He was quite impressed by the whole new place, he was really happy as he has his own office which he did not expect.
Sun has finely come, thankfully I will get the washing dry :-D

Hannah's home :-D.Chester was so pleased to see her ,he got himself in a right 2 and 8 then had to go out and eat a load of grass. He always does this when he gets over excited .I think he gives himself a tummy ache and eats the grass to calm it :-S.He is now totally wiped out and crashed in his bed.(snoring) It's lovely to have a good old catch up with Hannah and hear all about her seriously dangerous clients :-S :-S :-S.She has said if they want her to take on more work load with 'Psychopaths' she wants more pay.Good for her.Trouble is will the NHS be prepared to do that???.If not she won't take on any more.I think she is so flipping brave sometimes.
Dinner in and almost ready now.I'm blooming starving :-D :-D
Keep Trying Frank.Don't lose your patience ;-) ;-)

Dentists Tuesday morning.Hole in upper R tooth.
I was thinking about cinemas and how they,ve all vanished over the years. On Westgate Road there was The Pavillion,The Stoll and The Essoldo.
There was The Odeon,The Haymarket,The Olympia and The Tatler. Nearer hope there was The Picturedome, nicknamed The Lop.
There was a cinema off Shields Road (forget the name) had a ceiling the shape of a coffin. There was The Queens where they screened The Sound of Music for months. There was a cinema on Scrogg Road where I saw Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO
All a long time ago.

Ooh .I wish you well David on Tuesday at the dreaded Dentist :-S As for long lost Cinemas I don't remember them from when was young ,Just the ABC and the Odeon. But I know since I have lived here from 1985 there are no old cinemas left .It is all Multi Screen. There are a couple of small (tiny) cinemas that show films that may not be shown in the normal (big cinemas). These are out in places like Oundle and Stamford.
We are fed and watered here now ,and I think ready to shut down for the night. I'm looking forward to having Hannah's 'young man' ;-)to stay with us for the weekend.Fitz wants to see Hannah so will be coming up tomorrow afternoon ( I think he want's a sneaky peak at John too) lol.He was so touched because she sent him a get well card after his op and wants to say thankyou for thinking of him.(bless him).He is a bit of a softy.

Morning All and Evening Kim,
Rained in the night and now everywhere is wet wet wet and I have the boil wash to put out. There is a cold wind today too but the road is not drying yet so I am thoathed to do it. A bit of watery sunshine at present but will it stay like that??????
Was busy up the tunnel yesterday and planted out a load of lettuce and peper and chilli plants. Also covered the bed for the lettuce first with black poly and planted through it. Today I need to tie up the tom plants. Sowoed a load of seeds too and put them on the bantams house roof. They got a water in the night. My next lot of peas are up in plugs and the mouse has been taking the bait in the tunnel so hopfully these will stand a better chance than the last lot did that got dug up and eaten.
Nothing planned for the weekend. Are any of you doing anything special?

Morning/Evening All I has started off with a lovely blue sky which now seems to be filling with cloud :-S.If feels a fair bit chillier too.But I have a load in the machine and hoping to get that out and dried. Chris is at work ,Chester is looking at me with begging eyes for walkies(he is going to have to wait a long time)lol.Hannah is going to meet up with some of her old girlfriends at the Gym and then pick up John from the station.
I think it is time for another Cuppa(the 3rd).I have been awake since 4.30 on and off as the smoke alarm on the landing beeped :-S :-S.Chris put a new battery in yesterday as it beeped the night before.Maybe it had become faulty and we just need a new one. See you all later :-D

Morning Mel Morning Jane,
Well it's daughter no 2 birthday today she's 25 . omg where does the time go, remember when she was just toddling around , a wee chubby baby, terry nappies didn't hep in those days made the little one look as though they had a huge bottom and then on went the plastic pants and the frilly knickers if she was wearing a dress, both my girls look back over there baby pics and say Mother what on earth made you dress us in such awful clothes , :-| :-|
Daughter no 1 doesn't like frill and ribbons, last time I saw Sofia in a dress was christmas :-( though she does wear ittle tops and skirts when she's on holiday.) but she likes to play rough & tumble so she's better in jeans or leggings for that,

Morning all,
Cool and sunny, but then dull this afternoon. Very quiet weekend for us.
Happy birthday to your daughter Fiona. The years do fly by.
Daughter has a new boyfriend :-S :-S No breathing space, but I've laid down a few laws already along with her father. She told me some things about Jacob which were very upsetting - will take me a while to get the trust going. :-( The stress is awful here at times and affects the health issues.
Son is at the cricket presentation tonight, so no worries there.
Jane enjoy your time with Hannah. What a grand welcome from Chester, bless him.
Enjoy your day everyone, hope the sun shines for you. 8.24 pm EST

Happy birthday to Fiona's daughter, where does the time go .......
Kim, children are stressful at the best of times but must be doubly hard for you with poor health, at least you have your OH for support, let's hope the latest one is an improvement. I always said to my girls ...... you have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince .......
What a nice weekend you are going to have Jane, with daughter home and boyfriend staying, nice that you had a bit of you and Hannah time together too. Just keep the wine/beer flowing and I'm sure John will soon relax.
Had planned to get on with these drapes yesterday but daughter turned up with Harry, he's almost walking, in a few weeks I think. Still very generous with his kisses but cheeks won't do has to be on the lips, nice big wet sloppy ones ......lol
Makes me shudder Shirl. thinking of those injections in the eye, let's hope you don't have to have too many more.
Well I'd better get back to these drapes, wanted to get them finished this weekend.
