Lasagna all made for later ,i made a big one so there's enough for tomorrow too.

Hubby's painting the walls ,just a wash coat first to cover the colour we had on .
We've got a new window ordered ,that's being delivered next week so that has to go in before any colour goes on the walls.

I hope Fiona has a safe trip to see her MIL and that she finds her a little better today.

Bl**dy cold wind today and dull skies. Feels like winter is back.

Mandy I hope your not complaining about the rain after having the hose pipe ban!! ;-)

I have been trying to help a lady with her tree but cannot for the life of me find him on the census before a certain one and thats the only one I can find him on. Says he was born York but think it may have been Lincs!! I have been trying for days now to find William Key 1801 York. Down on the only census I can find him with wife Ann as a dock Labourer.

The robin is still feeding his babies but I hav'tnt seen them since they left the nest. The blue tits in the extracter fan are chirruping away so I think they may have hatched. I must remember not to turn it on as there woud be baby birds and feathers flying out the side of the bungalow at a very fast rate of knots. Plus moss and hair and grass andwhatever else they build their nests with.

Oh is out in the garage putting up shelves in the new area above my chicken food bins. When I went out there he put a mark about a foot and a half along and said that was melly's area and the rest was for him!!!! :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| :-| I am not having that!!!!!!!! I do need some space in there afterall I paid for half of it to be built on and it was my garage in the first place.

Fi9ona it is good that the drip is working ofr MIL and I hope she gets better soon. Am thinking of her and she is in my prayers.

Sheila you still hav'nt told us how long Jess is with you for or who is looking after baby Matt while she is away? Hope you have been having a nice time with Jess there.

Hi All, hope everyone is feeling okay today.

How lucky Fitz is to have such interesting ancestors and good to hear he is on the mend. Janice also, these things take time. I was thinking the same thing Mel when I read Jane's post, Chris might have enjoyed a rub down ;-).

My cousin is over from New Jersey, staying with my brother and they are all coming over tomorrow for lunch. I like it when I have visitors, it's the only time this house gets a good clean. So I'd better get back to it. only got the kitchen left, that'll probably take me the rest of the day.

I have just been scrubbing the kitchen floor on my knees.But they were getting sore so I will finish the rest in stages.I decided that mopping all the time doesn't really get the grime out from in between the tiles.Yuck ,you should see the muck :-0 :-0.I think I will shove another log on the fire and have a cuppa and a quick look at the Crime Channel

Mel, I always think of Eamon Andrews too when I think of Crackerjack. I always remember them dropping those cabbages and wondering if they would be wasted. Mum was a great stickler for not wasting food and would chop up and cook us all the cabbage stalk too. Funny how these things stick in your head.

That's right Mel, you put him in his place......they soon take advantage and use up all the space there is if you let them!!! lol. :-D I have to remind OH sometimes who's computer it is and who paid for it when he tries to take it over!! Anyone would think we were 'kept' women and hadn't earned our own income and money!!!! We always go 'halves' on our projects too.

I hope you try and get a photo of the baby Bluetits when they leave the nest.......they are such sweet babies!. I wonder if the baby Robins will come to you to be fed too.

I hope Fiona finds her MIL is improving today.

Visited FIL yesterday and he said he had ricked his back in bed somehow a couple of days before!! I daren't look at OH when he said it as I knew the look on his face would have made me laugh and I had to look away when he asked him how he managed that in bed. lol As he was still in a lot of pain, we went and got him some of those patches I used recently.

Maureen ..Snap! everything gets a good clean here when visitors are coming.Which is why I'm starting now.My Cousins will be here on the 12th or13th,never been here before.I remember when I went to their Dad's funeral and saw how spotless their houses were I thought then good job they can't see mine.So now I have a real job on my hands :-S :-S :-S

Just looking through Fitz's family stuff again and found in 1580 Muster Roll someone was a Pikeman.another an Archer,and another a Billman.This is Bow and Arrow days!!!!.Does anyone know what a Billman was???
