Morning Mel ,Pat ,Fiona and everyone.
Pat you have had a busy weekend ,visiting ,dancing .It was quite a strange day weather wise here too yesterday.I hope when the day comes to release those balloons in your Grandson's memory that the sun shines for you all.

Oh Mel Maybe you have slept funny on a nerve or something.Hopefully it will wear off as the day goes on.

Fiona that is good that your MIL is feeling better in herself. It will be good that she is going to her sons to recuperate and build up some strength.

The sun is shining brightly here and it feels quite warm even though we had a slight frost.
When I was out with Chester just now,I passed a garden with a bush in that I thought had lots of red berries on.A closer look and it turned out to be hundreds of Ladybirds !!!!!!!!!.I think I will go and have a look in our garden to see if we have any.I don't think I have seen so many on one plant :-S :-S

Hi all,
What a long old night it was last night. We finished dinner, with Apple pie, cream, indivigual fruit tarts with more cream.about 5.pm We all sat around talking aboiut anything and everything. The young married couple were choosing babies manes. That went on for a good hour. I finally said. Wait till you know what you get. and Choose then !!!!

They left about 8.00pm. and Conrad went and made a pile of meat and salad sandwhiches. They were lovely, but with onion, cuecumber, cress, ans salad leaves. it gave me indigestion.

I went to bed about 10.30pm and do believe i was awake the whole night burping and making rude noises. When I saw the dawn come up, I droped off for a couple of hours, Got up 8.45am showered and dressed. No food as yet today. just milk for my tablets, two cups of tea, and I am drinking a coffee now.

Realy bright sunny morning here, still a chill in the breeze. Not sure what time we will be leaving, but will catch up later.

Who is it that wants some POPPY seeds ??? We have a tray full, ready to be spread around the back fence, You cvan have some of thise. But be warned you will have them forever (LIKE FORGET ME NOTS) But must say they look good in the borders.

Jane Report 19 Mar 2012 11:02

Poor Ros having to put up with your rude noises all night Frank :-S :-S :-S
I haven't heard the expression Rude Noise for a long time.It is normally Fa** these days lol.It was always a rude noise when I was little.

Time to hang out my washing now I think. No tumble drying today :-D :-D

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 19 Mar 2012 15:38

Two lots of washing hanging on the line here too. Leg a bit easier now after oh took me all the way up to the border this morning to have a look to see how much more of the grass he can take away in front of it. He has made it wider by about a foot. Hoping I don't get more weeds come up but with the mulch it should keep them down and he said not to plant anything in that front bit.

Frank glad you feel a bit better today. Oh always takes a pack of Rennies to bed with him incase he needs one in the night.

Jane

Jane Report 19 Mar 2012 17:19

That's good Mel ,hopefully your leg will be back to normal soon now.I have just got Chris to help me turn the mattress on our bed as I was waking up with an achy back all the time.Cor what a job it is .It weighs a blooming ton :-S All done now and nice clean bedding on.(I need a sit down )lol

Fitz just popped in from having his pre op assessment. He said it took forever. His op will be on Wednesday afternoon and will take 4 to 5 hours :-S :-S.I am picking him up at 1.30 tomorrow and will drop him off at the Admissions Lounge. His wife will see him tomorrow evening when she gets back from a training day in Milton Keynes.

Janice rang and is now getting worried about her next stay in hospital.Apparently she is just one of the 2% of people who need to go back for this manipulation after a Knee replacement.(Trust her) :-S

I can't believe it is getting on for 5.30 :-0....The sun is still shining :-D.I was looking out the front bedroom window earlier and saw a little black wild bunny haring around the field opposite with it's mates.

I had a lovely surprise this afternoon.A bouquet from little Ethan (in Dubai) for Grandma Jane. How nice was that :-D :-D

Frank

Frank Report 19 Mar 2012 17:31

Afternoon all,

We stopped off on the way home, to do a bit of shopping. Have bought a ready cooked chicken for tonight, with with a pot of Potato, swede, parsnip and carrot mash. Will do a bit of veg to go with it. Can't be bothered to prepare and cook a meal tonight. And it might be better for my stomach !!!!

Have sat and read yesterdays paper, while Ros is making a necklace.

I feel I could sleep for England at the moment. but will wait till about 10.00 pm to go to bed.

When we got home about 3.pm a box of plants were on the step. We did order some a few weeks ago, but as I said before these were potted on, and are in the greenhouse. this lot must be duplicate order. Ros asked neighbours if they would like some. "YES PLEASE I WILL PASS OVER SOME TRAYS OVER FOR YOU" Ros came in full of smiles. Saucey CO# she said, Went into the kitchen cut of about 50 plugs, and passed then over the fence to her.Not only wanting free plants, but expecting us to pot them on. Right expression ROS.

Maureen, Your grandson is certainly growing up, what a lovely smile he has.
He looks like he will be a right little charmer, when he gets older.

Only Jane and Mel posted today, since me this morning, WHERE are you all.???? sitting or working in the garden.

Frank

Frank Report 19 Mar 2012 17:39

Annx Report 19 Mar 2012 21:50

Ann's here.. :-D :-D :-D,

Been a bit busy. After taking MIL her gifts yesterday we went to a churchyard in Stockingford to look for any of OH's rellies as some were born there. It was very wet and muddy underfoot and I daren't look at OH's car mats today. :-S We did find 1 grave with the family surname, but I haven't found any link with OH's family yet. They were farmers, and I haven't found any other farmers's in OH's family. The siblings of the man were quite interesting. Two were farmers, one was a farmer and auctioneer, a sister married a chap and the 2 of them were to become the Master and Matron of the Poor Law Union Workhouse and another brother and sister emigrated to America. Afterwards, OH took me to William's neck of the woods to show me where his Uncle's bungalow was that got burned down just after he died. He couldn't believe how the place has changed William!!

Today we did some weeding and I moved the celandines and snowdrops that were sprouting from various piles of soil the electrician dug up last year!! I reset some of the rocks he had to move too and we weeded the raised beds and I planted the onion sets. I recognised quite a few poppies Mandy!! lol OH went down the tip with the rubbish and by then we'd had enough, so we showered, picked up the newspapers and went out for lunch at a garden centre. Washed, dried and ironed the bedroom curtains and did 2 loads of washing too and cut OH's hair. Now I'm pooped, but OH managed to drag himself off to a match!!

Lovely photo of Harry, Maureen. He has a super smile hasn't he and always looks happy.

Oh Mel, I'm glad your back seems to be easing. You don't want it to be out of action this time of the year with so much to do outside.

Glad you are feeling a bit better Frank, not nice feeling ill when you are away from home. I'm glad Ros is 'practising'!! lol What a cheeky neighbour........!!!

Sheila, you sound proper fed up! I have had some trouble with things on here being very slow at times. I hope your hubby is better now. A few years ago there was a spate of people painting pillar boxes gold in the night around here!! I never heard whether they caught the people responsible. Not as noticable as red, but I thought they looked rather nice.

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 20 Mar 2012 10:57

Morning All,

Leg feels a bit strange today like when you have had cramp. I have a dull ache in my calf muscle and a bit of a twinge in the side of my knee. I must go shopping today otherwise my week will be completely messed up. I hate it when I have to go shopping any other day than Monday!

Lovely photos Fiona but they took a long time to download. Was that the usual camera that was used??

Hi Sheila. I have been having a bit of trouble posting too. Sometimes what I have typed disappears altogether and I am just left with a few words I have just typed and have to start all over again. Did Ashley have long hair before he had it all cut off??

Mandy I still think your poppies could be weeds................

I did manage to plant an Echinopsis in the border yesterday and take out a few more of those compulsary weeds you get in potting compost. Bittercress.
