Yes Mel,a glass door .But it is just the smell lol.He will get a smack soon if he doesn't shut up :-S

Oh Flowers he is young isn't he.Thank goodness the surgeons managed to repair the bleed.Hopefully now with a bit of OT he will be back to normal in next to no time.

I do miss buying and sending flowers to my Mum.It is now 7 years since the last time I was able to do that.I was in Tes** this morning ,and seeing everyone deciding what to get their Mum's made me feel a little emotional .
Thinking of Mel and Maureen tomorrow <3 <3

So Poppies it is then Mandy lol.

Thanks for the photo's Mel, lovely Roses and bird table.

Ann, the magnifier was a bargain, it will make it a bit easier threading all the beads !!

I wondered if they were Poppies ,Mel thought they might be a type of Dandelion !! LOL
They look nice and healthy so i shall have a lovely display of the yellow wet the bed flowers !!! LOLOL

Was always told don't pick the Dandelions they'll make you wet the bed .!!

Thank you for that thought Jane, I have been feeling a bit sad knowing I won't be able to see my mum or take her flowers. Was thinking of going to the crematorium tomorrow but have got the family coming tomorrow so will probably leave until her birthday in June.

I wonder where that came from Mandy, wetting the bed if you pick dandelions, when the flower had gone and you were left with the seed we used to pick them and blow on them if there were say three left we would say it's 3 o'clock.

We have just had another hail storm and a big clap of thunder that knocked the electirc out. We had about a centimeter of hail stone on the ground and they are still there. The big chickens all went into their house and then when it eased off they came out and started eating the hailstones. :-( Oh had taken the covers of bubble off the pond today too and the hail was floating up the sides of the water. So much for the water warming up for them now they have all gone down the bottom of the pond again.

I too thought poppies at first but did you have any in the garden last year Mandy?? They have that sort of glaucus foliage.

*I to am sad about mothers day and mums birthday was in June to Maureen. I have put tete a tete daffs on mums stone for mothers day. She loved those little blooms. Don't know if the hail has ruined them though. when we had it last year it went straight through the leaves on the hydranger and left gapping holes in them.

Thank you Ann, Mandy and Frank for your thoughts and also St Patricks Day wishes. Not only is it a special day for Carmel (my fair colleen), but it would also have been my mothers birthday, bless her. (Which I probably already mentioned - yawn!) Not only that but it would have been my brother and his wifes anniversary if he had lived. So I suppose it's a celebration, not only of Ireland's patron saint, but also a day for our family to have special memories. - all sounds good to me.

For those who asked, we are slowly getting over the purse theft incident, and thank you all for your concern. We just get one day away from it when the post comes and it's a replacement card of some sort. Just to sort of hammer it back home again. To take our mind of things we did something exciting. Well, if you call the local car boot exciting, when we're two hours late and everyone is itching to pack up and go home for lunch. Not to worry,

As the rain had disappeared and left actual SUNSHINE (!!!) - forecast wrong again - we had a little drive as far as Knowle and had a look around the few shops that are there. For those that have never heard of Knowle, it's posh, hence expensive. But the ride was nice, and not too far, so what the heck. It was nice to see a lot of blossom out and also where daffodils and narcisi had been planted along the sides of the roads.

Then we came back, had a bit of lunch and went shopping again. Well, the freezer said it was getting hungry.

Anyway, Carmel has had a few St Pat's cards, including the one I made her. Now I've made her a Mothers Day card fror tomorrow, from the cuddly toys that live on our landing! Do you think the men in white coats will come and take me away?

So, folks, I'm off to prepare our meal, very un-Irish, quiche (no, not 'quickie') and some noodles. Followed by fresh cream cakes. Maybe a drop o' the Jamesons tonight, begorra. TV pretty naff anyway.

Might not be around tomorrow, going to daughters for a traditional roast.

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely ladies. We celebrate it in May over here. It is the 12th anniversary today of my mother's passing. Doesn't get any easier each year. I know she would not be pleased with my research into the family secrets LOL. Her birthday is 16th May and she would be 89.

Mel what a hail storm you had. We seem to miss those storms where we are. I can't remember the last hail we had. It hits southern Sydney and then out to sea. Very dull here today with showers.

Have a happy day, BBL 6.46 pm DST
