The film was good Ann, a bit scary but not enough to give you nightmares, unfortunately it was spoilt by a group of youngster, stupid girls were screaming at the least little thing, then when they'd done screaming started laughing and chatting, texting on their mobiles, getting up and walking about, and swapping seats. My friend was furious, when we went out she demanded to speak to the manager and had a good old rant, he apologised and went off to get us some free tickets, as he went she turned to me and said ....... he's had a drink as well ....... having said all that I did enjoy it, it made me jump a few times.
Spent yesterday and Sunday with daughter and Harry, looked after him while daughter had an appointment. He was an angel, happily playing with his toys, climbing up to give me a big wet kiss then down again to play, stood mesmerised by the TV, that CBBB's is on 24/7 and would drive me insane but it does keep the little ones quiet and occupied.
Glad all went well Saturday Jane, that does look like an interesting restaurant, lots of character, those places are usually packed, word gets round.
The sun looks like it is finally making an appearance, might go out and see what needs doing in the garden ..... still looking ....... although I have cut the grass, and cleared out the pots from the decking.
Alfie isn't constipated Jane, the vet recommended Lactulose as it helps clear toxins so might give him a bit of extra time, at the moment he's jumping around like a spring lamb and chasing poor Coco around the house.
One of my best buys is an earring holder. It holds all my earrings, and I've got loads, keeps them in their pairs and you can see them at an instant. I use the middle bit of it to hold necklaces too which stops them getting all tangled up.

Still HOME ALONE. She will get back when she's ready and not before.lol lol
There's nothing worse than a load of "KIDS" screaming and shouting when you are trying to watch a film. What did the assistant need to tell you that the Manager had had a drink. !!! trying to get him inbto trouble :-S :-S :-S
It's been great today. No Tele, no Radio. Just me and my book. I got myself a bowl of Oxtail soup at lunchtime with some bread. Will get a cop of tea shortly.
I got some pigs liver out of the freezer for tonight. It clearly says "SLICED PIGS LIVER" on the packet. To my surprise, It was one big chunk with the tube still sticking out of it. I am just about to complain to Morris###. Will see what they have to say. Fortunatly I have a very sharpe carving knife, so was able to do it myself, but how it did slide about. I had to count my fingers when I was finished :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D Still got FOUR and a THUMB.
Maureen, Glad little Alfie is in good spitit. I loved the picture of the cat in the shots I sent earlier The one who had been left out all night Ahhhhhhhhh

It wasn't the assistant Frank it was my friend, she could obviously smell drink on his breath. Yes it does pay to complain. It's nice to have a bit of peace and quiet, I loved being at daughters but I love coming home too, to a nice quiet tidy house.
That last e.mail was really funny, loved the captions, they were hilarious, especially the batman one with the fish. :-D :-D :-D
Changed my mind about going in the garden, stepped out there and it's not as warm as it looks.

Ann, will one jewelry hanger be enough ? i should think you'd fill one with the things you've already made lol Have you found a magnifier ?
Shame those girls spoilt the film for you Maureen, it's a wonder some one didn't shhhhh them :-D If all else fails turn on CBB's lol keeps them amused ,the little ones love it .
Make sure you complain about the liver Frank ,Whitw*ths have just rung about the bit i found in the butter beans ,the lady was very nice she said it was probably a mud ball !! she said it should not have got in the bag with all the checks they do , said sorry and that they would be sending me some vouchers , so it does pay to complain .
We're off out tomorrow , might go to Sandringham ,my friend had been to the little shop there at the week end and bought some lovely jewelry all half price !! Don't think they were the Crown Jewels !! :-D :-D but they were pretty , i need to get some thing for sisters birthday on the 25th and DIL's next month .
Just a sandwich for us tonight ,as i cooked for lunch today ,so that's nice and easy .

Well about an hour ago ,Chris put the kettle on and then went out to the garden.I was sitting here ready to do a post and I heard this strange fizzing crackling noise. The kind of noise that you get when water has boiled over onto the hob.It was only the blooming kettle going up in smoke :-S :-S :-S :-S.Good job I was here.So then it was who was going out to buy a new one.I didn't want to and neither did Chris so we did the Paper ,Scissor, stone thing. I lost :-S :-S.So have just been to Tes** for a new one.I had to get changed to go as I had my old sloppy things on so I wasn't impressed.Mind you I did get 2 more new books :-D :-D

Just had dinner. Wasn't impressed with the liver. :-( :-( :-( It's one meal I realy enjoy. With fried onions, peas, ans lovely creamed potato. Have done most of the washing up. Ros is finishing off, and cleaning down. I never seem to do it as well as her :-| :-| :-|
Didn't go out last night. Felt to knackered. Had a nice day with my book.
Mel, Can I come to tea. I love ham, eggs and chips. often have it if I have a pub lunch. But not that horrible wet ham !!! I always ask before I order.
Ann, NOT something else she is going to want. :-D :-D :-D Good jog she dosen't read the thread, or it would be I want one of those. At the moment you can hardly see our dining room table for box's of beads etc. etc.

Oh heck!!! good job you didn't go out into the garden too, that could have been nasty ,did the smoke alarm go off ?
I remember years ago when the kettle would boil dry !! or you'd turn it on and go back into the kitchen to find it full of steam ,thank goodness they now have a switch off button .

Just had a call from my Sister. Her X husband needs a triple bypass.I think he is 56.No love lost there because he was a b*******,but hopefully it will be successful. He is an arrogant so and so (Big Businessman ).I can't see him delegating work.
Sorry about that liver Frank. It has been donkeys years since I had liver I can only eat Lambs.Poor Chris loves it but never gets it here.if it is on the menu when we go out he will always have it.
Mandy ,always good to complain.I don't think we complain enough really. We are a bit blase in this country.Typical British really.

Frank, I'm still here honest I am. Just been so hectic since the 80th birthday. Must be all that Brandy that went into the cake! I do pop in very quickly to see what you've all been up to, but I haven't had time to do any posting. There seems so much to catch up on lately. When the News comes on at 10pm I promptly fall asleep. I've taken to calling it the Snooze News.
Also, there have been a few nice days when we have taken off out. Or as us Cockney's say, slinging our hook. Our granddaughter in skegness got married on Saturday but we didn't go. Too far for us to travel now. An hour in the car is about our limit these days, old bones. I'll try and see if I have any news of interest to anybody, may even come up with one of my silly tales.
Meanwhile, I'm off again, except to say I was disappointed in the BBC2 programme series about Francis Frith. It seemed to be more abhout John Sergaent than anything.
Catch up with you all soon. And in case I don't get chance to say it, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY THIS SUNDAY for all our Mum's on here. We're all meeting up at our daughters for a special meal. I'll also have to design a card for St Pat's Day on Saturday for my darling colleen Carmel. What a funny coincidence that my dear late Mum's birthday was on St Pat's day.
You all take care now.

Mandy, that is exactly what OH said!!! lol I hope to manage with just the one, it holds a lot and covers the door to halfway down. You can always put a few on each hook. I don't have all that many things, as I dismantle any we make that I don't like. Today I did come a cross a few things in my jewellery box I can now mend. :-D Frank, wait till you get the hoover out, it will be PING, PING, PING with the beads and watch it if you are eating nearby, they are hard on the teeth!! I told OH yesterday I need another ROOM!! He suggested the shed!!!! :-| You do need a bit of space though......last week the teacher said she was sorry she was 'encroaching', so I said 'never mind, just a bit closer and I can dip into your beads as well as mine'. :-D
I loved that email too Frank, especially the 'batman' one. lol
I thought I'd get an eye test before getting a magnifier as my eyesight seems worse than it did. I went along this morning, but there is too small a change to need new ones. I asked if my eyes were 'average' for my age and the optician said 'no.....much better, so I can't blame my eyes for not finding the holes in my beads then.......must have butterfingers!! lol I can't read the bottom row at all now without my glasses.
Jane, it was a good job you heard the kettle. I even get twitchy about leaving the heating on timer to warm the house up before we get home sometimes. Seeing flames shoot six inches out of the sides of the wall boiler in my old place once, scared me for life I think!! It was a good job we were at home when that happened. How was Mr Fitz at lunchtime? I hope he gets a date soon.
Mel, I think Phantom Bantam has a new love in her life......your OH's lathe.
May go and see that film then Maureen, pity those children were so noisy when you went. We try and go in the morning now when it is quieter. Little Harry does sound like a happy boy and what's this with Alfie springing about!! Lol. He must feel ok if he wants to do that!! :-D

Ann,Fitz was ok ,but he said he had a bad night last night ,when his brain wouldn't switch off.He is not worried about the actual op.The thing he is really scared of is the thought of not waking up from the anaesthetic (?sp). It is a real fear I think :-S.The post came while I was there ,and I made him go and pick it up just to see if there was a letter with a date...but no.Nothing. :-S
Hi William...you do seem to have been a busy bee :-D
I am full to the brim now after the casserole and mash. Some left over which will do one person another decent meal.I think I will have to go and relax on the settee for a while and let it all go down :-D

Hello everyone,
Very humid today. Have been very breathless all day, so didn't achieve much apart from the washing.
OH's back is improving, disc only slightly bulging. My thoughts are that something at the gym hasn't agreed with him. He is going to give it a month's rest, plus cold packs then see what happens. Physio once a week. Hopefully that will do the trick.
Jane, that used to be my trick. Put the kettle on then go outside and do other things :-S Jane your sister's ex sounds exactly like mine!!!! Hoping that Fitz will get his letter soon, the waiting must be terrible for the family.
Haven't read all the posts, but I will catch up. Might have some time on the couch. Hope you all have a good day. 9.28 pm DST
Before I forget, found a picture of the monk's 2nd daughter and her Italian husband and first born just by chance. I was chuffed.
