Night Jane.

OH flight from Barcelona is delayed by an hour. so won't be home now till 1.00am, so going to kip in the back bedroom so I won't be disturbed to much when he comes in.

Had a phone call from BIL to say MIL had a bad day today, feeling very sick, still not eating, she can't stand the smell of the hospital food ( you can smell it when you enter the hospital & it seems to linger around the wards )so when it comes to meal times she can't eat it. they still haven't comfirmed it's arthiritis that is causing the pain. they have given her a walking frame so she can get to and from the loo herself, that seems to be the only improvement since she went into hospital which will be almost 2 weeks on Sunday, looks like OH will have to travel down to England on Saturday again.
It is becoming a real worry not knowing whats going on.

Well I'm going to shut down now,
Will try & get on tomorrow before I go up to the local hospital for my thyroid appointment, (12 noon) usual blood test will be done again

Morning from a sleepy head.

OH flight was delayed 3 hours in Barcelona, due to fog surrounding the airport, so he didn't get home till 3 am. I can't get to sleep when I know he's coming home, so I tend to get over tired,

Well want to finish the ironing before I go out this morning so better get on

BBL this afternoon

Morning All,

Fiona what a nuisance hubby's flight being canelled for three hours. I like your new picture of you and Sophia.

Maureen you too have a new pic up on the board.

Dull and misty here and there is moisture in the air so no washing going out today.

I have a pile of ironing which may or may not get done today. Jane made me feel bad doing ALL hers the other day! :-0 :-0

Hope all that are a bit under the weather feel better soon.

Frank how is the back today?? and Shirl?

MEgirl

MEgirl Report 15 Mar 2012 13:00

Afternoon all,

Hot and muggy here today and spiders everywhere in the garden and on the outdoor furniture.

Shirl and Frank hope the pain is improved today.

I don't have photos of family after the grandparents, this was lucky as he was an artist, so photos taken and kept at the national library. I just fluked it by Googling Zacutti (his name). The monk is my paternal g.grandfather's brother, so my gg.uncle. He must have done a runner, wouldn't be easy to get out of the clergy back then. He monkeyed around and lived until 80 Frank, not bad for back in those days. He was a president of the United Order of the Ancient Druids down in Melbourne - does anyone know about this organisation?? Rituals like the Masons, but I am only guessing. It would have started in England and spread out to the colony.

I like your new photo very much Fiona. The food at the hospital sounds terrible. I hope they find out what is wrong soon. Your poor MIL!!

Daughter went shopping tonight and bought herself two new dresses, very pretty and a real change from some of the clothes that have been coming home. She is always in shorts and tops, so this is good. Boyfriend turns 19 on the weekend, anniversary of my mum's death 18/3. I wonder what she would think of all this.
;-)

Off to lie down, eyes are drooping. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your kind words, these things are very upsetting. We've been sitting this morning trying to work out just what else would have been in her purse. I took all the cards out my wallet and we did a comparison. There were one or two things overlooked so I had to ring the police again to have them added to the crime report.
Our daughters has called in this morning and given us a bit of moral support, plus one or two tips.
Tomorrow we have to go and see about Carmel's new bus pass and also get a her a new library card. Such a shame when it's St Patrick's Day on Saturday (although we don't really do anything, but I make her a card) and I do think of my mother who's birthday it would have been. Then we are off to the daughters on Sunday for Mothers Day meal with the rest of the family.

So today, we are taking it easy and getting our thoughts and some sort of reality back in our lives. The washing is out on the line and it looks like it will be just as damp when it comes in! Who told me it was going to be a nice day today. I'm afraid our barometer doesn't agree with Shefali Oza!!!

Anyway, I'll look back in latr on. You all take care now.

Takes a while to get over a theft William but with a nice family weekend ahead hope Carmel can relax and put it out of her mind for a bit.

Thanks for the photo of Monster 2 Shirl and hope your back is better today.

It's a lovely sunny day so I'm going to make the most of it and get in the garden and do a bit, weekend is promising rain. Have ordered a compost bin from the local council, they sell them at a reduced rate to encourage composting, so I'm going to be very green soon.

I hope he hasn't got a bug that he will pass around :-|

Fitz has his operation next Wednesday, and will go in the day before. He had a call yesterday saying he could have it done today!!!!.But that wasn't on because of sorting a few things for his Mother.

I hope everyone is enjoying this lovely sun.BBL

William,I reckon the weekend with your daughter and family will help take your mind off this horrible thing that has happened.I know I felt really shaken up for a few days when it happened to me.I was surprised how bad I felt. But as I worked with Victim Support and saw many people who had been the victims of this kind of thing I could actually understand how they felt.

That is good news Fiona. You must feel very happy about that.Maybe it was all to do with that Gall Bladder of yours :-S

My sister has to go back to hospital on Thursday for an epidural and manipulation of her knee :-S :-S :-S.Then when she comes out she will have to have physio every other day for 2 to 3 weeks.
So that is Fitz on Wednesday and Janice on Thursday!!!!

I am cooking a bit of Belly Pork.It smells lovely ........but I am now wondering if Chris or James will fancy it :-S.I know Jess will love it :-D

Annx Report 15 Mar 2012 18:53

Hi Everyone,

Thick mist here this morning, yet 7 miles away it was sunny!! :-( Decided to leave washing the bedroom curtains incase it stayed damp all day......I was right.

Fiona, it sounds like things are looking up for you. Fingers crossed your next results are good too. Not so good with MIL though. I suppose some medications might affect her, but it is no good if she can't eat the food. I know when I was in hospital after my operation, the stink of curry put me right off!! I had no hot food after the first thin soup and lived on sandwiches and apples for the few days I was in.

Jane, I'm glad Fitz has a date now and that it will be next Wednesday. The sooner it is done the better. I hope his mum will be ok with the arrangements he makes, he doesn't want to have to be worrying about her. I hope after next Thursday that Janice will start to make progress. The lack of mobility must be very frustrating.

William, at least whoever stole the purse didn't use force to grab it and you are both ok. Now you have done what has to be done, just look forward to enjoying the meal with your family. Did the car keys turn up??

Kim, it must have been nice to see your pretty daughter in some nice dresses! I know at her age I wasn't keen on dresses as you couldn't do tomboy things in them, but it was worth it to get dressed up at times for the wolf whistles!!! lol :-D

Evening everyone,

What a foggy start to the day here ,we had to nip to Norwich mid morning ,as we got nearer to Norwich the traffic started to build up ,we could see lots of flashing blue lights ahead ,there was a load of cars all run into the back of each other !! at the back was a low loader with a huge cabin on the back so i don't know if he ran into the back of them and caused the shunt .

Love the new photo's ladies :-D

William, i hope you and Carmel have a lovely weekend and can forget this horrible experience for a while ,i'am sure being with family should help a little.

It's good that Fitz has got his date at last for his op, he will be glad to get it all over and done with .
I hope the manipulation will help Janice to get more movement in her knee Jane, she must be really fed up after all this time .

Cooooweeeee to Frank :-D :-D

I have been trying to get in here since 8.00am I just tried through Google etc etc and here I am.

William, What can I say that hasen't already been said other than, FRANK'S LAW, would see some hands missing of these Barsta##s. They have to be the lowest of the low, to pick on 80 year old people, Give me half an hour in a room with them. and we would see how brave they are then.!!!!

Glad everybody seems to be O.K.

I have been in the garden all day. Have put in two rows of onion sets, broard beans, beetroot, spring onion, carrot, raddish. Have got to order more Potato sacks, Have ordered some pea netting. Then I can get those in.

Had dinner, roast lamb new potatos, cabbags carrots, parsnips.

Going for a shower now.

See you in the morning, well that is if I can get on !!!
