Jane Report 16 Mar 2012 21:22

Mandy ,I am never sure about some plants/weeds.I have been accused often of pulling up plants :-S :-S :-S

Frank ,glad you got there. That junction you mentioned where the A14 joins the M6 is always a nightmare. It also joins the MI.I think there are plans to do major works there................Then there will be trouble :-S :-S

I 'm switching off now,so see you all in the morning.xx

I'm hoping someone else will complain if the dog keeps barking! Will see what happens next week.......OH can't write up his meetings with that noise all day. Yes Mandy, it is bark, bark when we are in the garden too if she lets him out, even when she is there!!! lol I don't know.......noisy music one side when the sun shines and a barking dog the other and I thought it would be peaceful in a close with fields at the back. lol :-S :-| :-|

Hope your tum starts to settle now and I'm looking forward to seeing your weed/flowers!

Jane, we saw some beautiful blossom like that in your pic a few days ago in a village we passed through a few miles away. Round here they seem to have gone mad with cutting all the hedges back and branches off the trees as high up as they can reach. Some mature hedgerows that were tall (where I used to get my catkins :-S) have been ripped out completely and any nearby trees felled and then the hedge replanted. Poor birds will have nowhere to nest soon.

Mel I'am not sure what it can be , hubby has eaten the same as me and he's ok .

Ann,have you a dog warden in your area that you could get in touch with , if you gave him a ring he would call and see/hear the dog and maybe have a word with the owner .
I'am going to feel such a fool if they are weeds LOL
We saw some Catkins and Pussy Willows when we had a ride out the other day , mum would always pick some and have them in a vase with some Daffodils .

That's me done for today , Night Night xx

Morning All,

Brighter today and we had rain last night before I went to bed.

Oh can't get on with the filling in of the edge of the grass now as he was going to rake the earth and seed it today but now it is too wet. Shame because he was getting on so well. He is now talking about changing the filters around on the big pond so I suppose that will keep him quiet for a day or so.

He shot another smallish rabbit for me the other day. They have been chewing off my lovely flowers and leaves off the Hellibores. :-|

FLOWERS Report 17 Mar 2012 10:36

Morning all,
Rained during the night here but now it's sunny with alovely blue sky.
Thank you all for BIL's best wishes, we went to see him last night. He is doing absolutely brilliantly, considering it was only last Sunday when he was in major surgery. Next week they are sending him to another hospital, who specialise in occupational therapy, next step home.
Charlotte says a big Thank You for all her happy birthday greetings, she was 14 yesterday.
Quick clean up today then back to hospital for a few hours then taking Charlotte out for a belated Birthday meal.

Morning everyone,

Wet here today. It was hot and humid yesterday, but at 3 this morning I was shutting windows. We had a storm and very heavy rain AGAIN :-| Washing hanging in the garage.

Jane lovely picture of the blossoms, what type of trees are they? I hope Chester is ok, just saw your post. When does Janice go into hospital? And Fitz?

Happy St. Patrick's Day, it is my wedding anniversary today, 21 years with No. 2. I received some lovely flowers and a card. Definitely better second time around. Poor fellow has had to put up with my ill health for 17 years. He deserves a medal.

Mel lots of spiders over this way and inside the house too. If it is hot they come in, but if it rains they come in too. You can't win. They are relaxing water restrictions over here. I think it is silly as we will probably go back into drought next year and need the back up. People coped very well with the restrictions, why alter something that is obviously working!!!

Flowers, sorry to read about your BIL. I hope he continues to improve with every day. Someone is looking out for him definitely. Did your daughter enjoy her birthday??

Fiona you must be very pleased with your blood results. Things are still not good with your MIL. I hope they sort her medications so she feels well enough to eat.

Ann that's another pretty necklace. Where are you going to keep all this jewellery?? Barking dogs, we have two foxies next door. If he goes fishing at night, they are yapping until 2 or 3 in the morning. He has put them inside lately because OH had a word to him. So things have been quiet.

Mandy how is your tummy today, better I hope.

Frank how far away is Rutland from you?? Have a nice weekend with the family.

Enjoy the rest of your day all, off to have a cuppa. 9.39 pm DST

Frank Report 17 Mar 2012 11:55

Morning all,

Woke up to RAIN !!!! now cleared away and high cloud and a bit of sunshine.

Is Chester O.K. Jane,?????

What are you all upto today. The "girls" will be out shopping, so will watch the early football match, and relax for the day.

Feeling a bit dodgy this morning, climbing up and down stairs is not good for me. makes my legs wobble, and feel prone to tripping over. Must take care not to do that.To much furniture to bang myself on !!!

Kim I suppose we are about 45/50 miles from Blisworth to Edith Weston. Good roads and we do it in about 1 1/4 hours.
Going to be a real houseful tomorrow, Harvey, Julia, Lewis, Lara (the one the got married last August) her husband Andy. Ros, Jan, Conrad and me.
I sent up a big joint of LEG OF PORK. so should do us all. Lewis's favourite meat.

Jan was telling us that a RED KITE swooped down on a neighbours little dog, while out for a walk, and draged it off the path, and flew away with it. Thet are also being seen a lot at "ROAD KILLS" There are so many around this area.
We have just witnessed a Sparrow Hawk sitting on a big rock in the middle of the pond. Never seen one so close up !!!!

Hope Carmel, is getting over her ordeal, and that you are sorting out all that went with it.

Have got the conservatory doors open, and it's nice to feel a bit of fresh air in doors.

Hope you all have a good day.

See you.

Jane

Jane Report 17 Mar 2012 12:15

Chester is fine thanks. He just seems to have given up now having his long walks.I do think his limpy leg must hurt him,and also his back legs are as strong any more :-S :-S.Chris is not impressed with just a short walk these days,he feels it is hardly worth going .

Happy Anniversary Kim.You obviously have a wonderful and caring hubby :-D :-D :-D :-D

Fitz ,goes into hospital on Tuesday for his op on Wednesday.
Janice goes in on Thursday for maybe a couple of days.
The trees are Cherry Blossom Kim.We have another Rd near here with all the trees full ,all the way along the whole rd on both sides

Flowers ,it is wonderful how your BIL is doing. Is he young with family?
I hope Charlotte enjoys her Birthday Meal.

Mel ,at last you have worked out how to send your pics. :-D :-D :-D.
Your Christmas lights and tree look very pretty and twinkly.I like the idea of having fairy lights on the ceiling. Is that your GR cards hanging up???
Dear little old man with his pals.

I have a gigantic joint of Beef cooking at the moment and Chester is driving me nuts with his whining and shaking lol.He will be expecting a bit,but will have to hang on for another 2 and a half hours.I am cooking it today ,to have tomorrow. It's making my mouth water now
:-S

Afternoon everyone,

Much brighter now after a little rain this morning doesn't feel that warm so we have the heating on .
Tummy seems to have settled today thanks.

Flowers glad to hear your BIL is recovering well , it's marvelous what they can do these days ,hope Charlotte enjoys her birthday meal.

Happy Anniversary Kim and OH have a lovely day <3 more spiders :-S

Poor Chester , you'll have to get one of those doggy pushchairs for him , i bet Chris would love to push one of those :-D LOL
I have a big piece of Beef for tomorrow too, it was a piece that was put in the freezer at Christmas so i thought we'd better eat it up.

Frank, that will be a house full tomorrow, lovely to have all the family together for the day ,the roast Pork will fill them up and a nice bit of crackling too?

Had £5 of vouchers come this morning from Whitwo*ths for the lump of hard mud that was in the packet butter beans.
Will use them next time i go shopping .

Have taken a photo of these plants or perhaps weeds !! maybe some one will take a look .

Happy St Patrick's Day to William and Carmel ,enjoy the day <3

Jane : BIL is 47 years old, I think his age is has been a factor in his quick recovery, he is married with 2 daughers, both in their mid twenties. Glad to hear Chester is fine :-)
Hope you all enjoy St Patrick's Day & Mothers Day tomorrow, Chalotte's gone for my mum a present she always picks something nice.

Mandy ,my Beef was bought for Xmas too.I must say it looks darned good.Mel you are welcome.I think there is enough to feed the 5,000.I will slice want we won't need tomorrow and freeze several lots in gravy.
Who is cooking tomorrow Frank?I love Pork, but James says I have done too much of it recently (I think he could be right)

That is terrible about the Red Kite snatching that little dog.How traumatic for the owner :-( :-( :-(
I will have to keep an eye on Chester!!.I have often wondered if the Kites would take a small dog,and there have been a few times when one had been not too high above us with it's beady eye looking down.I made sure Chester was close by my side then.
Mandy Chester would probably be quite happy sat in a pushchair lol(Lord Muck) :-D.Chris would cringe I reckon :-D :-D :-D.He doesn't even like taking him out when he has his dog coat on.
Chris is busy doing something down the bottom of the garden.I think he is putting seeds in.

Oven pinging ....Beef cooked.Chester drooling. My tummy rumbling. :-D
Actually Chester has already had a bit that I sliced off the end a bit earlier and he is now mithering for more. But he is out of luck.I don't want any upset tummy from him :-S :-S

Mel Fairy Godmother

Mel Fairy Godmother Report 17 Mar 2012 14:31

I can just imagin Chester sitting by the oven drooling. Have you a glass door to the oven so he can see it cooking??

Mandy I am pleased your tummy is a bit better today.

Afternoon All,

Rain here earlier, but it is sunny and dry now. OH texted me from Colwyn Bay to say it is raining there. It took them 4 hours to get there in the minibus so it will be about the same back. Only a footie fan would travel 8 hours in a day to watch a match less than 2 hours!! lol

Mandy, I'm really not sure what they are but would hazard a guess at poppies? There is that greyish look to the foliage. Save a few and see what happens. That was good getting a £5 voucher!! OH found a bit of gravel in a tin of Leek and Potato soup the other day......I told him he should have complained!! I've been out and bought a magnifier this morning, but as you have to work lower on a surface with beads I have got an adjustable one on a little stand to try first. It was only £2.99 from The R*nge, and I think it will be fine.

Happy St Patrick's day to William and Carmel and Happy Anniversary Kim. I agree Kim, the 'second' ones keep on their toes.........!

Frank, you must see a lot of wildlife around Edith Weston. I only ever saw a Sparrowhawk close up once at my previous house. It was sitting in a tree next to the bird table.

Mel, I got the pics of the banties and the 3 of the roses, which looked very good, but no xmas tree? :-S
