Afternoon All windy but dry, quiet here, Daughter no 1 phoned said Sofia had her picture taken at playgroup by a local photographer, she is the only girl among 9 boys, Daughter said there was such a fuss with the boys they would not sit still or smile. and the man had to take several photo's each time to get a good one, but our Sofia, sat on her knee's and gave a cheeky grin, mind you she would not lie on her tummy when asked but thats normal for Sofia , proper little madam, only does it if it suites her, She has been used to the camera since she was tiny as daughter no 2 boyfriend is a photographer, (trying to be if he could only get a proper job no luck yet) he just go to events & shoots to take photo's of young models from daughter no 2 university in Galshiels,

Hi again,
Went to get the hoover out this morning, and couldn't move for stuff. Five pairs of Ros's winter boots, BAGS of BAGS. (They might come in handy bags) They are all in the dustbin. Her boots are in a bag, hanging up in the cupboard. Lewis's swimming bag, just thrown in there, thats also hanging up. I think I could hold a tea dance in there now :-D :-D :-D She's bound to moan and say she can't find anything !!!! So thats two of us, MEL. had a good clear out.
Sun has this moment just come out,Looks like it will dry up to be a reasonable afternoon.
Have prepared a chicken cassarole for tonight, with mushrooms, onions, carrots. Have done a big daffy of Swede and parsnips. and loBut mine will be edible. (NOT A DOOR STOP) Sorry my love !!!
Conrad is comming down for 10.30 tomorrow, to go to the golf driving range with Lewis.. It will be nice for them to spend a bit of time together. I think Conrad miss's not having children of his own, but gets on well with Lewis. While they are there, Ros can take me to get an "ESTIMATE" for a hair cut. Haven't been since JULY. My little ASHA (hairdresser) will be wondering where I have got too.We can then go to meet them for a coffee.
You are a bit sharpe today Mandy. Mind you don't cut yourself. <3 <3 <3

Afternoon folks,
Glorious sun again here but there was heavy rain in the night, soaked all the plants nicely. We think a fox was in the garden last night........big, muddy pawprints on the new patio. too big for a cat. :-S :-S OH said it was a good job it wasn't him that did it. lol
Mandy, Smoke gets in your Eyes!!! lol, you crease me up.....you are on form today.....made OH laugh too!!
Frank, you and me both making complaints!!! Two of our replacement slabs that arrived yesterday are damaged........where will it end if the replacements are damaged every time!!!! :-S :-S More and more pallets for OH to have to take to the tip too. What is a 'daffy' Frank?
Did you see that picture in the paper the other day of that man with the pair of bespoke slippers he ordered. Someone had put a decimal point in the wrong place and one slipper was big enough for him to sit in!!!! lol He needs someone with one 'big' slipper to swap with. :-D :-D
Cut or copy and paste are so useful as Mel says. When I used to type up reports, it was so handy to be able to move a sentence or swap paragraphs around or copy text. A good thing to learn Frank.
Has anyone else had one of these new red car log books?? I thought it was a scam at first and was about to shred it, but it appears they are replacing the car log books we have and we have to dispose of our old blue ones.

I wondered what a Daffy is too Ann, Frank will soon tell us . Are you sure its a Fox .....what if its some thing Bigger and wilder :-S They never sent just two slabs on a whole pallet , is this from a builders merchant , as some will take the pallets back . Don't know any thing about these new Log books , do you have to send your old log book off to get the new one ?

It's a old saying we used years ago. A DAFFY is a large portion, of whatever. That will be dinner tonight. Ros will never eat what I put in front of her.
Ann, Didn't know about Car log books, We don't pay car tax, and I always to it on line. So if they want to replace ours, they will have to request it.
Jane We will have to call you "SMOKEY JOE" if this goes on for another two weeks or more. Will have to see how my frien is doing in Barton Seagrave. ???
Ann, Mandy is to sharpe for her own good. Will think of something to get her back. :-D :-D :-D :-D

A slipper big enough to sit in ! that is brilliant lol I have never heard of Daffy either Frank. That is a new one on me.
We have had a shower :-D but it was only just enough to tickle the ground. We really need some of that rain here for the garden.I don't think it would make any difference to the fire though.
Frank where does your friend live?He would have suffered yesterday. The chap who owns the stables is in the paper saying how the smoke has been affecting the horses eyes. They have been streaming.I did notice Chesters was like that yesterday too.He had those dark streaks down either side of his nose . Sorry your poor old Puss has got big lumps too now Frank.I hope they aren't causing him any pain.Has he still taken over the shower??

Another trip to the tip this pm, the last one for a while, nothing like a move to have a good turn out!! Spent morning cleaning out Garden Tubs, ready to plant bulbs for (hopefully) a good show next Spring, that is if the mice don't eat them!!! Plain clothes Policeman appeared this am,nothing 'tricky' just wanted to see Ian's Shotgun Licence, he took it away to get the address changed, he also wanted to see the Gun Cabinet, check that it locked properly and that it was in an appropriate place!!! Millie slightly over enthusiastic with her guard duties! growling under her breath with occasional wuffs!!! Fine all day but raining here now quite hard, but the rain in Northern Ireland (the news is on) has been horrendous, dreadful floods, hope that it hasn't been too bad for you Mel in Devon, or for anyone else come to that!

Good grief I did'nt think that post went and now it is up three or four times. I shall have to delete some!! Lol.
Had an awful job getting into the site this evening and posting. First I got the dreaded Error pink page and then it was taking forever to go and I tried toget to another page to see if that would be any better.
Mandy was certainly hsarp with her remarks today, was'nt she. Sharp as an acid drop. I used to love those I suppose they do still make them.

Well, Mel has had 5 cuppas now!! lol
Frank, they send the new red log book and tell you to tear up your old blue one, you don't have to send it back. They are replacing them all by November 2012. Apparently, (now I have read it properly!!) they have introduced the new one following the theft of a number of blank blue ones and it is to reduce the risk of us buying stolen or cloned vehicles.
Yes they send a fresh pallett even for a few slabs. The driver just delivers and uses a fork lift to move the palletts. I suppose he would quote H&S if he had to lift any slabs!! I bought them on line Mandy and the company uses a seperate courier for delivering. It does seem a waste.
Liz it must be great getting your things all sorted out and clearing stuff off to the tip. It will be nice to have those tubs of bulbs to look forward to in the spring. I was thinking about your caravan in the winter and thought it might be worth considering a cheap porch awning. It would keep the draught from blowing straight in when you open the caravan door and would be somewhere to change out of wellies or muddy shoes. Or maybe Ian could rig something similar up as it will only be temporary.
All this clearing out talk has got me going this afternoon and I have been all through my shoes and chucked a few pairs out (2 cupboards and 2 plastic boxes full and more in the porch cupboard). I found a pair of black suede high heels I used to wear when I first knew OH. My word they were so narrow I felt like one of the ugly sisters trying to put Cinderella's glass slipper on!!! lol I put those back being a bit sentimental!

I just spoke to my friend a few doors down (she is on the Cranford Parish Council. She said that 'Look East' had just been to interview her about the fire.and tomorrow morning the team from Northampton radio are at her house at 8am.....She says I have to go :-S.The more the better. So i will sit down tonight and make a list of things that I have been affected by from the smoke. 1.Blocking up my fireplace to stop the smell of smoke coming down into my lounge. 2.Having to shut all windows and doors when smoke is bad. 3.No wild birds in the garden when smoke is bad 4.Having to rewash washing that stinks 5.Going out with my nose and mouth wrapped in a scarf when smoke is bad 6.Dog has streaming eyes 7Having to buy eye drops for me ,and an inhaler for James. and basically being totally p****d off since the first fire in September. 8.Having no info on the situation .....seeing we are probably one of the worst affected Rd's I think I will be up at the crack of dawn :-S :-S
